Stephens replaced my water heater on the same day I called.
Price I paid was exactly what I was quoted on the phone. Admin and tech were friendly and helpful.

Called to get assistance with leak from upstairs bathroom faucet, after injuring my knee the prior week. Stephen's was able to work around my schedule to send someone. Jason arrived as scheduled and was very professional and capable. He explained everything, replaced the faucet cartridges, faucet handles and escutcheons in both baths. Did an excellent job! We will be calling them again on the future.

We moved to Downers Grove, IL from New England (Portland, ME) and were looking for a company to service our home furnace. Chris came to our residence in December for an annual check-up - he was courteous, knowledgeable and professional.

Last week, we had no heat and upon calling Stephen's Plumbing and Heating, Bob came to our residence within the time of arrival promised. He was also very friendly and professional. He was able to fix our furnace (igniter relay) via parts he had in his truck. The time he arrived was after hours. The charge for this visit, parts and labor was all very reasonable - and very much appreciated.

Both Chris and Bob were great technicians and clearly proud to be with the Stephen's Plumbing and Heating company. My wife and I have been very impressed with your organization. Thank you, Anthony Doman

Stephen's Heating & Plumbing are the best in the area. They have been our go to company for almost all repairs and replacements in our home for the past 30 years. They have quality employees who are skilled in their work and it shows. Good pricing and prompt service. I would recommend Stephen's to anyone who needs HVAC or plumbing service (and we have). We have trusted Stephens Plumbing & Heating more than a few times over the years. There isn’t a ton that goes wrong in our home, but we have used them to clear drains or fix the things installed by the previous owner who was overconfident in their skills. Can’t recommend them enough!

I had a sewer issue that Stephens came out to look at. The plumber suggested a few options, but by the flow from the check valve everything was working fine the following morning. Didn't need the sewer cleaned after all and had the check valve cover replaced. Quick response, friendly, helpful, and reasonably priced for their time.

I called multiple places for quotes on an outdoor gas hookup for a grill. Kevin came out to discuss the job and quote me. They were in line with everyone else and his quote was accurate. Chip ended up doing the job and it looks and works great. Love that Kevin is a local guy that went to Downers North. I believe his family has owned the business for a while. Typically I'm a DIYer when it comes to plumbing but if the job is beyond my expertise I wont hesitate to call these guys again.

My toilet was leaking water. Stephen's plumbing fixed the leak and went beyond the repair by replacing the bolts. Also "raised" the floor so the toilet has a more stable base. Stephen's is always a local plumbing company you can count on for excellent service.

Stephen's Plumbing and Heating is excellent. We have used them for over 20 years now, in 2 houses, for everything from repairs & maintenance to solving big issues, to taking on big remodel projects, to installations of new HVAC and new water heater, new toilets and sinks and faucets. Their Plumbers (Especially Kelly, but also Mark and Chad) and their HVAC guys (Chad and Ryan) are all sharp, experienced, knowledgeable, focused, thoughtful, and get stuff done. They are certainly not the cheapest firm around, but you can be sure that everything will be done right.

We had Dan come out. He was wonderful. Completed the job —- fair pricing. Gave us help for future projects.
Will definitely use again and will recommend to others.

We needed our sump pump replaced and the entire experience was great. Kelly explained what was needed and our options and then after the service took time to thoroughly review everything with me while I took notes. Was very patient and clearly an expert at what he does. Even fixed my leaky toilet as a bonus while he was out. Thanks!

My 1st mistake was going to a big box store instead of them. All I had was a leaky bathroom faucet, and I was having trouble getting out the cartridge. I had no idea the brand of the faucet or the tools I needed. The big box store sold me a tool that didn't work. These guys immediately knew exactly what I had, the size I needed, and the parts in stock. And if they didn't have it in stock, they said they could order what I needed. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and never once tried to upsell me. Prices were very reasonable too. If you're looking for knowledge, along with the parts, I would highly recommend them instead of wasting time with those other stores that have "professionals" that couldn't help in the slightest. Thank you again Stephen's Plumbing and Heating for saving me time, aggrevation, and money. I will go back for any future plumbing needs.

Great service, they do a quick determination whether it's a big or smaller issue.
if it's not critical they schedule a service call, or for immediate trouble they put on the lights and sirens and come right over.

The techs are pleasant, explain what they're doing and give you options you can pick to solve the issue. No pressure, no hassle. They come back no charge if anything doesn't work right. Very pleased.

Called to have outdoor water spigot and a bit of pipe that froze to be replaced. Furnace had not been working for 2 weeks. Lockwood HVAC told us the 3 year old furnace needed a 900.00 part and had to be ordered. Which we believed UNTIL, the plumber/HVAC repair man from Stephans came to replace piping and put the furnace burner back together after cleaning the burner that Lockwood HVAC, Lockport said we needed to pay 900.00 for. And we paid under 500.00 for these 2 repairs. Stephen's has repaired many problems in many homes we have had over the years. We are so grateful for their honesty and that they will travel to Lockport from Downers Grove. We had an angel this day!

Brian Flakus is outstanding. His quote was less than half of what another plumber said, it was less invasive than other estimates (no torn up drywall) he finished the project in half of the estimated time, and 25% under budget.

I called Stephen’s yesterday. The woman on the phone could not have been more kind and helpful. After telling her my plumbing issues, she was able to get someone out to my house today. Brian called first thing and was here by 8am. He was professional, kind and knowledgeable. This is the second time we’ve used Stephen’s and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

A well known pluming and heating company of the Chicago land area. I had a heating and AC installed. Cost is locally competitive, but the quality of work outstanding. Crew was done within two days. This was my second time using their services. They replaced an aging hot water heater a few years back. I would recommend this company to friends & family.

Stephen's is the absolute best option for all things plumbing and HVAC. They are my go-to for maintenance and now for emergencies. I just called them at 3:30 on a Friday to fix a shower valve that seized up. It became an emergency because I had to shut off the main water line. 2 techs came in 10 minutes, fixed the shower quickly and bailed me out of my situation. While they were cleaning up they noticed I had a slow running sink and just proactively fixed that too! Incredible service. Really trust these guys and respect their work ethic. You don't get treated like this from other companies. Thanks to Dan and the entire team.

Basically we had a clogged toilet from hell! Rich came and fixed it in a matter of seconds and was so nice and helpful. He made something that was driving my husband and I nuts over and fixed extremely quickly. Reasonable price too. I would highly recommend, especially Rich.

I recently had a lot of work done and am very satisfied with the repairs, customer service, communication, and cost. I've been calling Stephens for all of my plumbing, heating and AC needs for over 10 years. I appreciate how professional and reliable they are!!
