From start to finish I was absolutely impressed with this company. They have a shop for you to go to for demonstrations on how all their products work, and are very knowledgable with their product. It makes the purchasing process extremely straight forward, and easy to learn the product that you're purchasing.

Mike and his son came out to do the work and these guys do an extremely professional job. They are courteous about their surroundings, meticulous with their work, showed up when they said they would, and carefully went over everything with me at the end, to ensure I knew every detail of what they did.

The product itself has been in my home for a week now, I decided to change from an AC system to a heat pump, and have been plesantly surprised with how comfortable it is in my house, compared to the AC system. All in all I am extremely happy with the product, and thankful for the meticulousness in the Technicians work, and will 100% be recommending you guys to friends and others.

Compass installed our heat pump and we are thrilled with the results! My house has never been this comfortable! Mike was great during the quoting process and was able to fit us into the schedule super fast. The installation team was so nice and they worked tirelessly to ensure everything was working properly and that I knew what to do with this new system. They also made sure they cleaned up before they left, which I really appreciated. Communication was great and they helped me get the rebates I needed. If you're looking for heat pump installation in Lombard, definitely check out Compass. As a newer technology it was tough to find local heat pump installers who were knowledgeable. Mike and his team are heat pump experts!

I waited a year to write this review as we wanted to experience all the seasons with our new Mitsubishi mini splits for heating and cooling. Every person with whom I had contact at Compass Heating and Air demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism, efficiency, deep expertise and genuine care. Mike the co-owner, highly knowledgeable on the technology and building science, listened and addressed all my questions and concerns. Beth, co-owner extended grace when I screwed up, and is an excellent communicator. Scott with our scheduling as we made a unit swap, was totally on top of it. Our installers, Mike (another), Victor and Tyler delivered a tidy installation, were collaborative, took care for our home. They were experts but still employed a trust but verify approach as they meticulously checked their work. Ryan came out to address my ill founded concern, but nonetheless exhausted all avenues, including direct contact with the manufacturer to ascertain our units were running normally. The machines are perfect. I am not likely their biggest client but they always treated me like I was their most important. We will call them for any future maintenance and our next utility upgrade. Highly recommend.

The owners, Mike and Beth, and everyone at Compass are a pleasure to work with. We needed an HVAC update a few years ago. Mike took the time explain some options so we could make the best choice for our needs. We couldn't be more pleased with our updated system! The excellent service continues with skilled, efficient and professional technicians for annual maintenance. They have a really nice showroom displaying heating and cooling systems and more importantly, consults with Mike who is a wealth of knowledge in all things heating, cooling, energy and also rebates and tax credits too!

Extremely satisfied with the services and experience of both equipment installations I’ve had with Compass. In 2022 I needed to replace my AC and Mike took the time to answer my many questions and diligently work through the process with me. The install went seamlessly. This resulted in me calling Compass back again when my furnace broke. Ryan was on time, diagnosed the issue, and explained the options. He was knowledgeable about the products he explained and this ultimately assisted with the choice I made. Mike and Ryan came out conveniently the very next day and installed the new furnace. Both were professional, efficient, and educational. As a first timer purchasing these units, it was a big decision both times, however I felt assured and confident I was making the right choice each time and that’s because of the high quality and honest technicians they have. Will continue being a Compass customer in the future.

Mike is excellent. Our refrigerant was low - he fixed it but that created another issue with the compressor and took 2 hours to rectify. He didn’t leave until he was satisfied. Honest & knowledgeable people.

Tyler was great showed me features on my thermostat that I was unaware of. He was on time and ready to work.

I talked to Scott and he was able to get service scheduled within a few hours. Tyler came out and identified the problem between the thermostat and the AC. He was very professional, and clear in his explanation of what the problem was. The AC was back up and running quickly. I will definitely call Compass again if I have issues with my furnace or AC in the future.

Called while having heating issues, during a very very cold time, and they came right out. Mike was very professional, incredibly knowledgeable about my heat pump system, and took time to help me understand it as well. no big sales pitch, just making things right. My family will definitely continue using Compass and Mike!

UPDATE: Mike and his team were absolutely the most knowledgeable and professional team i have worked with. They didn't just do it the "right" way, they went above and beyond to make even simple aspects of their install a large step beyond any others I have seen. Veteran owned and operated, but every single employee I have interacted with, Vet or not, worked to make sure myself and my family was taken care of. will recommend....forever.

I called compass Heating And Air Conditioning and spoke to Jeannie, who was so helpful and scheduled me for an estimate at the same day with the professional follow up text message as a reminder of the appointment looking forward for that and if I decide to hire them, I will update this review. Couldn’t be happier with the level and quality of service from Compass. From diagnosis of my old system to the selection of its replacement, to the full installation of the new dual fuel HVAC system, everyone I worked with were courteous, professional and kept my needs and interests in mind.

These guys are the best! Tyler just fixed my A/C on a horribly hot day. They have always been available and gotten the job done when we have had an emergency. I totally recommend them and also recommend doing the maintenance agreement.

Tyler the technician is smart, personable, polite, and represents the high business ethics standards that Compass follows in their business model.

We have been using Compass for over 10 years and they have always been honest and upfront of what needs to be done. Tyler our tech is always on time and explains everything. Scott returns calls even when you don't leave a message! The company all around is worth 4 stars.
