Tim Franzen walks on water! Most other places tried to scold me for having an emergency. Not Tim. Worst winter night in Chicago history and Tim picked up the phone at 3AM! My pipes bursted in 3 places. Tim tracked down all 3 leaks and fixed them. His only angst was not being able to properly address some of the other calls that kept coming in. What a guy! This world needs more people like Tim. 12 years of experience at Thiesse. He should be at the top of everyone's list.

I absolutely love Dr. Yang. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Yang. I was tired of feeling like I was just another number lost within the Duke Healthcare system. Dr. Yang welcomed me into her practice and she has always made me feel like family. I cherish the personal relationship that she has with all of her patients because it is not something that you find anymore. Dr. Yang studied medicine in China as well as the United States. I love that she offers me alternative methods to try rather than just prescribing me another medicine. Dr. Yang does not sugar coat things and I value that in a doctor. If you are looking for the best family doctor, it is Dr. Yang!

Dr. Yang has been the most caring doctor
I have ever had. I have been a regular patient
for 7/8 years. I trust her with my life because of Dr Yang ( I am currently in my 12 th year of surviving cancer) . I am treated with the utmost dignity and respect always. Even with her superior medical education she is down to earth honest and goes beyond her long hours to get back to you. I wish there were more doctors like Dr. Helen Yang! -
Dr. Yang has been our primary doc for a few years now and we are the better for it she doesn't over Medicare but offers common sense solutions in addition to western methods of medicine. I highly recommend visiting synergy family just like me my wife sister and dad

Unbelievably unprofessional and non-communicative. I let them know weeks before I ran out of meds and they said to have the pharmacy fax the prescription over. When it ran out, the pharmacy said Synergy/Yang refused to fill it. I called many times to try to talk to the doc, but only was able to speak with front desk who now said I needed to make an apt in order to get the meds refilled. Now I am out of medicine for no reason. It seemed like they just wanted my copay and $ from insurance rather than helping me. As soon as I went in, she would ask me to make follow up appointments for no reason. They would not even tell me the results of blood work without making an appointment and at the appointment it seemed like she had not even looked at the results before my arrival. I am getting a new doctor but am out of meds and spent way too much $ here between copay and paying for bloodwork. Even after expressing my grievances, I have yet to hear from the doctor. That is poor care.

I was previously a patient of Dr. Yang's for over two years. I found her to be very hands off and she relied on lab results to guide her treatment. I had a great deal of respect for her when I initially became her patient, but I quickly began to feel like a number and part of her gravy train. She asked me to come in regularly for blood work to monitor my health, and when I arrived she would barely look at the results and talk with me before telling me to schedule my next visit. At times, she would even ask me why I was visiting her that day, revealing that she clearly did not even take nthe time to review my records before seeing me. Still, I continued to see her because I trusted her advice for some reason.
Also, I would always point out to her that my thyroid levels seemed to be abnormal in my labs, but she said they were fine and told me to pick up a specific supplement at Whole Foods. My health did not seem to improve, so I showed my lab results to a nurse friend who told me I REALLY to see a specialist about my thyroid levels. I had to call Synergy Family Medicine multiple times over a two week period to get the referral to a specialist. I'm glad I was persistent. The specialist looked at my labs and told me I was suffering from hypothyroidism during my entire treatment period with Dr. Yang. There were also other conditions that she should have noted or referred me to specialty care for, but did not. I am no longer her patient and hope she improves her treatment approach for the benefit of her patients who entrust her with their health and lives.
