I found Mark Carpet Cleaning through a nextdoor post from someone in Lombard, wasnt even sure they'd come out to our area but they did no problem. we have three bedrooms all carpeted and the hallway runner, everything needed it bad. moved into this house about two years ago and never had the carpets professionally done, just rented one of those grocery store machines once which honestly made things worse somehow. anyway i called on a tuesday and they had availability that same week which was great because my in-laws were visiting the following monday. the two guys who showed up were quick, moved our bedroom furniture around without us even asking which saved me from throwing my back out again. the hallway runner was the worst spot, like years of foot traffic ground in, and it came out looking way better than i expected. my mother in law actually complimented the floors which has literally never happened before so theres that

The guy focused a lot on the high traffic path between the kitchen and living room which was the worst part. It dried overnight and the texture feels different now, softer.

Had them clean the air ducts throughout the house. There was a lot of buildup in there apparently - they showed me some of it before they started and it was pretty gross. After the cleaning the airflow from the vents felt stronger, which makes sense if all that stuff was blocking things up. The house just feels like it breathes better now. Our place in Glen Ellyn is older so it had probably been a while since anyone touched the ductwork. Really glad we got it taken care of.

The tech actually took his shoes off before coming in which was a nice touch. Carpets came out looking way better than I expected for how stained they were. Dried up pretty fast too, by the next morning everything felt normal again.
