I really appreciated that he was very respectful of my home, explained what was being done, and never slacked off. He had great assistants who were also friendly, professional and respectful. His prices were competitive and the the quality of the work was excellent. Additionally, as a woman, he never tried to talk down to me, nor did he try to take advantage of me because of my lack of knowledge. He was straightforward in his approach and direct--I never felt like I had to read between the lines. His way of conducting business should be a primer for contractors. He sets a high standard. As someone who's had a couple of bad experiences in my home, I know the difference between professionalism and unprofessionalism. Going with Silver Hammer was a great decision and again, I would highly recommend them.

Robert is a thorough professional and we had a great experience working with him and his team. We had to get our entire 5 bedroom 4000sq ft single family home completely renovated, because our tenant had destroyed the house. We had to get the entire wooden floors sanded and polished, carpets stripped and Kiltz treated and walls/ceilings painted.

Robert completed all the work within 2 weeks and most importantly he did everything while me and my family were staying out of state in Philadelphia. After meeting Robert and speaking to him, I handed him the house keys, and we laid full trust in him. We instinctively knew that he is a thorough gentleman and a great professional and would get the complex job done on time. Robert kept sending me pictures of work completed each day and he started and finished his work with utmost precision and on time.

His team subsequently remodeled our master bathroom and also helped with kitchen remodeling. You will not be disappointed with Robert and his team’s professionalism, workmanship and punctuality. His quote estimates and final pricing are fair and accurate. I thoroughly recommend him and his company for any handyman and house repair service. I will rate Robert A+++, since we got our house back fully restored, after being gutted by a nasty tenant. Loved working with Robert, Roger, Mike and Mark. Excellent team.

We've hired Silver Hammer several times over the past 5 years, and we are always so pleased with Robert's work! He has done plumbing, dry wall, and skylight work for us. His work is thorough and reliable, he is efficient, he keeps the workspace clean, and he's easy to talk to. His rates are also fair. I plan on calling him again in the fall for more plumbing issues. I definitely recommend him.

After many months after job supposedly finished, Rob never came back to repair stairs that his hired contractor messed up and damaged, to this day he is still giving us the runaround, he has admitted to the damage.Has seen it personally but has yet to attempt to have damage repaired.

Proceed with caution my window was installed incorrectly the screen would not fit. I was told it was the wrong size I ordered a new one turns out it was the window installation. The first installer lied about the screen the second guy admitted the window was installed incorrect he tried cutting the tab off the screen to make it fit no luck .i had the first screen looks like the first guy did the same.After many many calls Robert came out said he would get a custom screen to fit.Many calls texts later he texted he had the screen and would install it 7 -10 days I been calling and texting as usual with Silver Hammer no response. Good luck if you hire them

Rob doesn’t do the work himself, instead hires random other contractors to do the work. He drops them off and then leaves so it’s not possible to discuss any issues and then comes to pick them up for next job. He didn’t finish the job and left bc he scheduled too many jobs on the same day, leaving us without a working stove for 4 days. The contractor didn’t have all the parts so even the in-wall oven wasn’t properly installed. He left the place a mess and overall was way more headache than it’s worth. He’s also rather expensive compared to others. I thought he had expertise but sadly he doesn’t.

This company deserves 0 stars! They were told to do a small tiling job which they dragged on for 2 weeks and then turned up at 8.30pm and left at midnight after leaving the whole bathroom with tile dust from cutting in the bathroom. Grout didnt match and quality of work was poor. The head office did not pick up nor did we get any contact from the guy who did the job. Total waste of time and money as we paid half up front! Now we have to find another guy to fix this mess!

The owner of Silver Hammer reached out to me after reading my review. Unbeknownst to him, the sub-contractor had also taken money from other jobs without finishing them or not doing a good job. Mr Omelson came to the house to hear our side and see what the contractor had done. He was very sorry this had happened to us and gave us a refund and some compensation. If we have another project we might consider Silver Hammer.
