He came when he said he would. He stayed until the kitchen sink drain was unclogged, which was no small task! He finally had to insert about 24 feet of his power snake before the clog was gone! His price was very reasonable too! The only thing is that he only took cash or check (no credit/debit cards), which luckily my daughter had her checkbook and could write a check. I had no idea where my checkbook was!!

Chalmers Plumbing helped us tremendously! They got to my home very quickly and were in and out. Will definitely use them again!

I called Chalmers Drain and Sewer for a broken pipe in my crawl space. Dave came bright and early and made the repairs. He was very professional, I will definitely call him again for any future plumbing issues and highly recommend this company!

Dave replied to a request for a quote late Saturday evening and was out the next morning to open a clogged kitchen sink drain. He was professional and got the job done. He educated us about things we could do in the future to avoid the problem. I will definitely be using him in the future.

Called at 1:00 a.m. when my sump pump check valve failed. All the snow was melting filling the sump well. He returned the call quickly and was at my house in 20 minutes. Had the parts he needed on his truck. Replaced the sump check valve with a "no knock" valve. It's fixed and completely silent. And yes, this all took place at 1:00 a.m. on a Monday. We all know this stuff doesn't happen in the middle of the afternoon, so it's good to know there's a plumber I can call in the middle of the night!

Dave came NEXT day to install a new line we needed. Quick and easy. Didn't leave any mess. Super courteous and professional! Would definitely call them again if we needed assistance!

He came and quoted me a price to unclog tub. Ended up having to pull kitchen cabinet and clean out the trap. he never charged me an extra amount for this and I was expecting it to be more. was extremely friendly and professional. if you need any plumbing done he is the man to do it

Chalmers Plumbing did an amazing job. Everyone listed above his name on the internet were booked until Wednesday & Thursday. The owner of the company came out on a SUNDAY & didn’t charge any extra for a Sunday! He was quick, professional, and knowledgeable about what exactly the problem was. Also, I have a 6 month warranty (sewer/tree roots) if anything else happens he will come out for free to rectify the issue. Let’s just say I’m saving them in my contacts. ❤️

Water service line to my house was leaking and Dave had an idea what it was before he looked at it and he was right. Dave masterfully excavated between the house and a shed and kept a Comcast line intact even though it was in the way. Dave responded quickly and professionally. After this experience, Chalmers will always be my fist call for any plumbing issue.

I cannot say how much I appreciate the work they did! Our sewer was backing up and we were freaking out. I called Chalmers and a half hour later he was here. He rodded the line nice and quick and was very reasonable. Thank you!

David’s quick response time and professionalism make him a fantastic plumber to have on your side ! We had a problem occur late at night the other day with a water heater tank failing. After calling several other companies and leaving messages, he was the first to respond the next morning. Once we got in contact him it was easy to set up a appointment and that same evening he was able to get everything resolved for us. Definitely will be using his services for any future needs.

First, I called somewhere else but wasnt able to get an appointment until a week away. As a small business owner I need a working toilet ASAP for the public. So I googled "plumbers near me" and read all the amazing reviews about Chalmers Plumbing. Dave gave me an estimates quote over the phone and came to my business within 30-45mins. I was sold already with how quickly he was able to arrive. From what I thought was just a clogged toilet it turned into a bit bigger job than expected. He was able to fix the problem and I was never so happy to hear the noise of a toilet flushing. Dave was great! I will definitely be recommending Dave to others in need of some plumbing at a reasonable cost!

This is long overdue , better late than never ! Christmas Eve we had a disaster with our disposal drain getting clogged to the point of backing up the pipe into our laundry room . Have known David since elementary school , so I prefer Giving business to friends, called him and explained the situation and even though it was Christmas Eve he still came out in an extremely important family holiday , just to make sure my family was issue free ! Hands down the best call I’ve ever made , thanks again Dave ! 10/10 , way to be an awesome business owner !

Quite happy with Chalmers! I used the messaging service through google and left a message stating that I needed my sewer line cleared of roots that clog my line every approximately 5 years. They promptly messaged back within minutes, gave me a good quote and replied when they could get to it, which for me was only a couple hours after messaging them! If that wasn’t enough, I was at work and they were able to contact me and handle the job without me being there. (I had clean out accessible and someone at house to run water for them.)
In all, great experience, would definitely recommend and use in the future!

I HIGHLY recommend! I called Dave about a clogged line that I previously hired another plumbing company out of Valpo to clear 2 months ago. They tried telling me that the cleanout line was too narrow and their 4" auger wouldn't fit. Dave had no problem clearing the many roots that were blocking the line inside the home and to the city main with a 4"! He also guarantees his work for 6 months. He was polite, clean, and most importantly HONEST.. He quoted a rate before he came that was reasonable and that is what he charged. The last company I hired 2 months ago did not fix the issue. They were deceptive in their pricing and even charged to drive to and from the home without stating that up front when specifically asked if there would be any additional fees. I will definitely be using Dave Chalmers for all my future plumbing service needs. I will be recommending him to others I know as well!

We called Dave on Sunday morning for a clogged drain line causing our kitchen and bathroom sinks to back up. Dave promised to be at our house within an hour and was here exactly on time.

He quickly diagnosed the problem and got to work. 30 mins later (or less), our drains were clog free and running smoothly.

We were quoted a very reasonable flat fee, especially for an early Sunday morning call. NO EMERGENCY FEE CHARGED. Dave was polite, cleaned up after himself, and was in and out of our house before we even finished our morning coffee.
