Very impressed with their outstanding customer service and speed of service. After replacing the thermostat and finding the source for a gas leak in our home, they turned off the hot water heater and then offered (we accepted) to come out after hours to replace the water heater so we were not inconvenienced by not having hot water. Highly recommend!!!!!

Great service and always gets the job done. I am have relied on Fred’s since I took over a Cabin on Briggs and found all the pipes had burst. I called Them because my father relied on Fred’s going back to the 70’s. They had the pipes repaired in a day and the charge was very fair (no “emergency” charges....).

They are always quick to come for repairs and willing to work with you. We had them install a full system and duct work and they did great work. We’ve used them many times for service on our old system and once on a warranty repair for the new system and they always come out right away and the technicians and office employees are always friendly.

I've lived in Sheldon for about 5 years now and this company is top notch. I have had them fix leaky pipes, unclog our basement floor drain, do furnace repair work, replace water softener components, install a new AC unit, and other things I'm probably forgetting! In my experience, their communication is outstanding. Always timely, friendly, and they FIX THINGS. I'm a very satisfied customer, you will be too. Clearing gross basement drains, keeping us warm in the winter, and cool in the summer????!!!! I hope they have received some kind of community service award because the men and women there deserve it!

Fred's came out and replaced our water heater ( was still under warranty)that was not even purchased from them the same day I called. Talk about top notch service. The repair man was efficient and professional! Thanks Fred's for your great service as always!!!

I want to give a big thank you to Fred's from Hospers for getting my sister a furnace and air conditioner put in as quickly as they did. Her basement was flooded in Spencer in June and nobody could get to it until November. I was given Fred's number and they came out right away gave us an estimate and the next week put the furnace and air conditioner in. They did a great job and we are eternally grateful to them. If anyone in Spencer needs HVAC these guys are the ones you want to call

We had two pumps taken out in the flood. I called Fred's and was put on the list to have our system looked at. The very next day the technician was ther to see what was all wrong. Long story short we got the quote and nine days from getting the quote our AC was up and runing like new. I would recommend Fred's to any one looking to instal a geo thermal system. They do great work and provide even better service

Friendly knowledgeable service.

I would only recommend using Fred's if you check their work before they're done. The vent in our entryway was missed completely, and had my spouse not said something two bedroom vents would have been missed. The vent going to our bedroom had to be reattached. I understand due to the flooring in Northwest Iowa and areas of Minnesota that there is a high demand for plumbing and heating. That being said there is zero excuses for not checking your work. It's called good work ethic.

Not worth the price for the work they do.

It's harder to get someone hear and we get push off we had a guy out hear to start he spent more asking how he was going to do the job the working

Worst customer service in the world! Heat pump & AC down since snow damage and still hasnt been fixed now 95 outside and no one to come fix it!!! Very rude!!!

This company does not follow up on service calls . Once you buy the furnace, and they leave the job-don’t expect to see them again. In our case, they never bothered to hook up the air conditioner and left us hanging for weeks. Fred is no longer in the business and trust me, his son does not have the same ethics. We purchased a high end furnace from these people and have been put off for months. They want to sell you their product- No follow up or service!! BEWARE!!
