I contacted Family Tree Care to get an estimate on stump removal and tree trimming. They were quick to provide an estimate. The work was performed within the timeline provided. The crew was very professional and did a great job cleaning up. Our trees look great!

Scheduling initial appointment was quick and easy, and they were prompt and communicative every step of the way. All our questions were answered thoroughly, and we felt confident in their knowledge and recommendations from the start.

Each tree they worked on came with its own set of challenges from location to size. They approached each one with skill, precision, and safety in mind. Special shout-out to Chance and crew who removed a very large tree with surgical skill and no damage to adjacent deck and house.

My neighbor and I had Family Tree Care come and trim a total of 6 trees. We agreed to the pricing around Three months ago and we're given a ballpark date for trimming. A date was verified a month ago and believe it or not, they hit that date!
They were Very Knowledgeable and made suggestions that worked out well. We have a Tulip Tree, (rare for Iowa) which was trimmed perfectly.
Clean up was Excellent!!!
I'd give more than 5 Stars if I could.

We were told by the house insurance to remove any branches touching the roof. Family tree service came out with their crew and did a fabulous job. They even trimmed some bushes along the driveway for free. I was glad to have found them. Eli communicated well and will tell you what's the cheapest option. My project was small so a neighbor and I combined and that made it cheaper because it was a bigger job. They had to climb with ropes and I could never do that. They took away the wood in a truck.

I was very happy with my experience. I called for a quote and got one right away. They came and did the work when they said they would. They did a great job. My tree looks so nice. Very prompt, courteous and professional. Would definitely use again!

Called to get an estimate for brush removal, the person who answered lied and told me every time you click on the link in Google to call it costs them 80$, I've never heard anything so absurd since I have a business I've never paid 80$ for someone to call me. If you don't want to do a job simply say so, don't lie and say well every time you call someone it's 80$ I have some trees I need taken down from the wind at our other house and was going to hire them to remove the brush and if they did a good job hire them for that job since it's estimated at about 11,000 so it's their loss I won't want to cost them 80$ 😂 to set up an appointment.

I contacted Family Tree in January, received a reply from them in May, but only when I called them AGAIN. Then I sent many more email messages asking when I would be able to get my tree trimmed, then when they did reply, I was given a date and no time.
The weekend before the scheduled date, I emailed them to confirm the appointment date, again no reply. They did arrive, on the day scheduled, he knocked on my door, said I am here to cut your tree, Ok.
He proceeded to cut the tree, I didn't think anything of it, but I am so glad I was home, I went outside shortly after he started, and one half of my tree was almost GONE! I yelled at him, "ARE YOU CUTTING DOWN MY TREE?" He said Yes, and then brought the lift down from the tree and we talked. Now I have a tree that looks like the cartoon, the Grinch that Stole Christmas" (See before and After photos). The worker left, right after he finished trying to trim the other half of my tree, weird...no request for payment. I then received an invoice about a month later for over $1,000. I called the Service Manager to come out and look at what they had done to my tree. When he arrived he made it out like this was trimmed like this purposely. I said no, this is NOT good and Not something that I am happy with. The Service manager then said, "Well, good thing the other half of the tree is hanging over the street, if it FALLS, the city will be responsible." Ugh! NO!!
This Company is too overwhelmed to serve its customers in a professional and accurate fashion. Don't call them, unless you want to be the LAUGHING stock of the neighborhood. I think I will put up a sign..."TRIMMED BY FAMILY TREE CARE"
