We again used Johntilly to mainly remove a dying swamp maple; and also remove dead limbs in nuttall oak and clear limbs of gem magnolia from outside wires and cables. A big thanks to Emma and her crew. They were on time, friendly and did a great job.

1 yr ago -- John Hunter and his crew did a great job today on our squirrel-damaged 45-foot oak tree.They were quick and thorough. They cleared the large hanging and broken limbs; dead limbs; and the ones that would inevitably break soon. They cleaned up and removed all the debris before leaving. John and his crew were all very friendly, and more than willing to answer our many questions.

We will definitely use Johntilly Tree Service in the future.

John has been trimming trees at my house and my dad’s house for about 5 years now and he always does a great job. Aside from his excellent tree knowledge and experience, he is a clear and effective communicator and very hard working. I always know what to expect when it comes to pricing, (which is always VERY reasonable), how long a job will take, etc. He and his crew work hard and are efficient and clean everything up beautifully. I highly recommend Johntilly Tree Services.

Great service, fantastic prices ! They removed a 40 ft tree from my backyard in roughly 4 hours, without dropping any branches on the neighbors, and cleaned up everything. Highly recommend John and friends for all your tree cutting needs.

John Tilly has 4 different jobs for me. Each time the job was done to my complete satisfaction, the job site was left debris free and the cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend the company.

Johntilly Tree Services was great to work with. I texted a picture of a pretty large palm tree that I thought was dead and needed to be removed. John got back to me quickly, confirmed my suspicions (dead as dead can be!), gave me a quote, and put me on his schedule for a few days later. He came out with two members of his team and within 45 minutes, the tree was a stump! They swept up before leaving and John connected me with someone for stump grinding as well. They were courteous and efficient, and I’ve already recommended the company to neighbors. Thanks so much Johntilly Tree Services! You helped me avoid a potentially dangerous situation by removing that leaning palm tree and I’m grateful for the awesome work you completed!

We had a very large tree branch fall and it took up most of our backyard; we attempted to take care of it ourselves and quickly realized we were in over our heads. We reached out to Johntilly Tree Service and they came out the same day to give us an estimate, which was completely reasonable, and then had Larry and Emma come 2 days later to take care of the project.

Larry and Emma were professional, respectful, and efficient. They had everything done and our yard cleaned up in just over 2 hours. I wish we had called sooner!

We called Johntilly after our home insurance moved the goalposts and required us to remove tree branches directly over our house. We love our trees and wanted to find someone who would get the job done with the lightest possible touches. John’s internet presence isn’t the loudest, but we did a bit of looking (thanks Reddit!) and we saw him and his crew enthusiastically recommended.

John came out quickly to give things a look, and it was immediately clear that he knew both parts of his business - the tree part and the people part. He was knowledgeable, patiently answered lots of questions from these first-timers, and quickly priced out multiple options, giving us his advice but leaving the choice to us. He shared his bona fides on request (licensed arborist, insured). We shopped around and found his prices unbeatable.

On the day of, John was on time and moved fast, but also took the time to take good care of his team. I was around to hear them talk through the safety plan, and for the whole day, his crew were cheerful and friendly and seemed to like what they were doing and who they were doing it with.

The results met our insurance company’s demands and looked great. Cleanup was so good that you’d barely know they were there.

I would recommend John and his crew to anyone and will happily work with them again in the future.

I followed up after John left a brochure on my front porch. I needed some trimming on a large tree in my backyard. John’s team showed up and were finished within 1-2 hours. Excellent work, excellent clean-up, and excellent price! I highly recommend them.

John and his crew trimmed palms and some trees on my and my neighbor's property and they did a great job. John was very easy to contact and messaged me right away. The team is insured, did great work, and were reasonably priced.
