My husband called Saffer because our pipes started making terrible noises, and we had had a couple good experiences using them in the past. They sent Kaylea, who showed up bright and early today and identified the issue almost immediately. She was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and an effective communicator. She noticed a problem with another plumbing element and helped us make an informed decision about whether to pursue a repair—without pressuring us at all—and gave us a heads up that our water heater is past its expected life span so we could start saving for a new one. We were so impressed with Kaylea (and the past plumbers—we haven’t forgotten David R.) that we decided to purchase a Saffer membership. We want her back when this water heater croaks!

Another great experience with the Saffer team! Matt and CJ were kind, considerate, and SO competent. They made a difference in my life by listening, responding, and making the needed repairs. It gives me peace of mind knowing these young men care about what they do and me. Thank you!

Josh and Ashley did a great job. Highly recommend them. Job was completed with no mess like I made before they arrived. Price was a little higher than I expected but that was not on them.

UPDATE: Nat from the company reached out to me as he is a friend. He listened and had a honest conversation with me about this issue. I am happy to say the company adjusted wording, thresholds and is going to publish less ambiguous info regarding their referral program. They also granted my referral qualification and sent me a $50 gift card.

This is specifically about their referral bonus. I received the attached text message about up to $600 for referrals and then I clicked the link to refer my mom. She got the work done totaling about $1100 and when I called for my referral bonus I was told that the spend had to be $1500 to $5000 and that would only get me a $50 gift card.
Nowhere on any communication I received nor on the referral link did it mention any limits.

In my opinion, that’s very bad business. My mom went with them and didn’t quote elsewhere because she was under the impression we’d get a bonus. And it says up to $600 but even at an almost $5000 spend the bonus is $50. I guess you’d have to spend $100000 to get $600.

Needless to say my mom nor I nor anyone else in my family will be using Saffer for any future plumbing or electric needs due to round about dishonesty and poor ethics.

We called at 5 PM, and they made an appointment for the next morning. Prompt, thorough, and incredibly nice. Curtis, in particular, was a pleasure to work with. Top-notch in every respect. We’re asking that he come back for the follow-up.

Gary was very helpful with my Hot water heater yesterday. he went over all options with me. there was several obstacles we could have had to deal with, but it didn’t seem to bother him at all. He was gonna make it work. He told me before he leaves today I’ll have hot water. I even think he stayed later to finish the job up. not only a good mechanic, but a good problem solver….. and the AI guy was very polite, almost real. Thank you saffer team!

Needed a gas stove hooked up quickly. Saffer responded immediately to my phone call, arranged to have the work done within a week. The plumber came on time, was courteous and efficient. A+

Joannie from Saffer Electrical's was right on time for scheduled exam of my electric issues: installing overhead fans, replacing faulty smoke alarms, etc. She provided very knowledgeable and clear analysis of how to solve and repair. The estimated costs are reasonable and a date that works for my schedule has been set to perform. Will follow up after completion.----

Completed yesterday as scheduled. With co-worker Roland.Highly skilled, professional expertise very evident throughout the full day of work. Particularly, while figuring out and fixing some highly messed up GFCI outlet + breaker box circuits installed by a different company 4 years ago. The two ceiling fan/lights + remote wall switches and a CFGI outlet installed on my large sun/screened porch are a great looking improvement. Very happy with the quality, appearance and added safety of the results.

I required the services of an electrician to replace to malfunctioning outlets and selected Saffer Plumbing, Heating & Electrical to do the job. Roland and Khalid arrived punctually, provided clear explanations throughout the process, and demonstrated a high level of professionalism. I would definitely recommend and use their services again.. Very professional services from scheduling to completion of my project. All services were done in a timely manner and everything was explained in terms that could be understood. Joe A. was a true professional and took pride in his work.

I sent a message to Saffer Plumbing online on a Sunday night about a problem with my shower and water leakage. Someone from Saffer called me first thing Monday morning and Brent was at my house by 9 am. Brent is very professional, knowledgeable and courteous, and was patient with my questions. He quickly discovered the problem (which, gratefully, turned out to be a minor issue) and resolved the problem. Me and some of my relatives have used Saffer in the past and have always been pleased with their work. I highly recommend Saffer Plumbing and Electrical.

Saffer did a big plumbing and heating job at our house: new water line from the street, re-pipe of all indoor water pipes, plus new heating unit. They promised they could get it done in a week, and they did by working long hours. Tony, the plumber and team leader, kept me informed of progress at the end of every day. He and his team stayed very, very late on Friday night to make sure we could get back in our home with heat and water on Saturday. I have worked with several Maryland contractors on our old home over the years, and Saffer was the most customer conscious and helpful. The office team that took my calls was friendly and totally informed. And I appreciated the call from one of the owners after the job was finished to see if I was happy with the work his company did. Tony and his team of Will, C.J. and Scott, earned Saffer a customer for life with the job he and his team did for us.

Wanted to thank Gary at Saffer Plumbing for a great experience with my new toilet installation. He was kind, knowledgeable and boy did he know his stuff. I appreciate people like him who make it worthwhile and easy. Getting a new water heater from him also. Thank you Gary and Saffer. He and Brian also installed my hot water heater....EXCELLENT!!!!

A busted pipe in a flooded crawl space in below-freezing temps does not a fun day make for any plumber. Dylan confronted the task head-on as required, pumped out enough water to get to the broken pipe, waded in and repaired it. He explained the cost perfectly and also provided a very good referral for the restoration. He was very respectful of my home taking care to not track in any water or mud. I thought the cost was reasonable given what had to be done, the time it took and under the adverse conditions. Saffer was recommended to me by my daughter and my BFF, so I also happily provide my recommendation to others.

Quick response and communication. They came out and told us the exact issue and the way to avoid it happening in the future. Price was so good! Felt very comfortable because they are helping you and not trying to make a lot of money off of you. Thank you Saffer! Will use you again in the future.

We (commercial property management company) greatly appreciated the acceptable charge of just $60.00 for a daytime callout appointment that our maintenance team was able to complete. We've had MANY companies charge us exorbitant fees for a callout. Thank you for being fair and upfront with your business practices. For this reason, and your team's outstanding work ethic, we will continue to use Saffer PHE.

We called Saffer after an issue with BGE gas meters at our apartment rental property. They were SO quick with getting Kayley dispatched out to us and she even called us when she was close by as well. She was 10/10. She was so beyond friendly and helpful with the situation. She even explained the situation simply to me so I could understand it better. It was over 5 hours of work that she worked non stop on and she even stayed a half hour late over her working hours just to make sure the project got done and our renters got their gas back. Kayley was wonderful and we will definitely be calling them again for work we need done!

Saffer was recommended by the friend of a friend and I'm very glad I called them. John was on time and very courteous. Also very informative. I had 3 faucets and a garbage disposal replaced. He fully explained my options including costs. I signed up for membership and saved quite a bit on the bill. I highly recommend Saffer and John.

When your electrical wiring needs to be upgraded to meet code standards, Saffer is the place to go. Their inspection highlighted the major issues that needed fixing, and they were able to fit me in to their busy schedule. So please with how quickly and efficiently they fixed my issues. I am a proud Saffer Club Member!!

John and Will just spent from 7:30a until 6:30p taking care of multiple issues , including a thorough diagnosis of the necessity to replace our main drain. They were professional , knowledgeable, clear, and we knew we were in good hands. We became members and highly recommend and appreciate Saffer plumbing !
