We have been using Johnson Chimney Service since 2010.
They installed proper liner for our gas furnace , after the furnace installer failed to do so. Recently we had a fireplace chimney cleaned, steel liner placed ( as the original tiles were damaged by the 2011 earthquake) and old gas log replaced.
The work was done in a timely maner and cleanly.

I have used Johnson Chimney for about 10 years now and recently needed to replace a burner in my gas fireplace. The team was excellent about explaining options and trade-offs with keeping or changing the current arrangement and helped me make a decision that I was most happy with. Everyone I've worked with there is personable, knowledgable, and welcome in my home.

I have had two excellent experiences with Johnson Chimney -- one cleaning & inspection and one repair. Two different technicians -- both prompt and professional. Upon their arrival, I was informed of the work to be completed and expected duration, and upon completion, I was given a flashlight and shown how to view their completed work. The front office also kept me well informed throughout the process. Johnson Chimney will be my first call the next time I need my chimney cleaned or serviced.

Excellent!! We will definitely use and recommend Johnson Chimney Service in the future. We have had along-standing problem with water leaking down the stone facade and through the porch roof. Not really a chimney issue, but Walter figured it out and solved it for us. He also took the time to help get my fireplace up and running for the winter months. Great for him to take the time and do that, too! Outstanding service for sure!

We talked through the quote on my chimney and he broke down each component. I ended up following through and couldn't be a happier customer. On 10 Feb 2021 Johnson Chimney Service sent their "A Team" crew (Martin, Alfonzo, Oscar) to complete comprehensive repairs to our 1941 Cape Cod. Work included complete Fireguard Resurfacing of the Smoke Chamber and installation of a Stainless Steel Liner in the oil-heating chimney, stainless steel damper and new cement Masonry Crown. I was impressed with Johnson Chimney Service beginning with the detailed initial inspection by Walter, and totally satisfied the work performed by this professional crew. I without reservation recommend Johnson Chimney Service, they are remarkable.

Extremely professional service and quality workmanship on my dual chamber chimney. Installed steel flex pipe for water heater venting, new crown, and caps. Walt provided a comprehensive inspection and the work crew came out following day. More than worth the investment for fire safety if you want to use your fireplace often.

I have been using Johnson Chimney Service since I bought my first home in 2011. They are incredibly reliable, responsive, trustworthy, and professional. In November 2022 they removed an old, ventless gas fireplace and replaced it with a beautiful Dimplex electric fireplace in our living room in time for Thanksgiving and also helped fix a pesky master bedroom gas fireplace quickly. The results are beautiful and dealing with Walter and his office team helmed by Joni was easy. They even emailed on a Sunday evening to let me know they would be delayed on Monday due to an emergency which helped me plan my work day! Their prices are very reasonable, and unlike other businesses, they have not taken advantage of inflation and supply chain issues to raise them sky high. What I paid this month is not very different from what I paid in 2011.

Johnson Chimney service provided excellent service. They responded right away, were very friendly and got me set up for an appt. the next day. When Walter, the inspector came out he was efficient and straight to the point and connected me to the office to set up a follow-up appt to do the work. I felt like I was in good hands with Walter who seemed to have many years of experience with chimneys and dealing with gas fireplaces.

Walter and his team have been very effective and quick in service and delivery. We had an entire new gas fireplace installed a few years ago. Very happy and love using a remote on a chilly eve. Needing regular service now and very pleased to reach Walter on a Saturday and his team available to schedule an appt. reliable and a recommended company

Walter came on the scheduled day, friendly and knew how to resolve the issue after a few minutes of investigation. Will use this service again if a similar problem occurs that I cannot fix.
