Tiny, hidden storefront, but excellent electrical system planning and execution. (But who wants a big storefront?)

We have used many electricians but none have the expertise and courteous manner of D&P, which also offers its services at very reasonable prices. We are particularly pleased with Bruce, who is one of the most competent and friendly individuals we have ever dealt with.

Dependable. Prompt. Quick. Knowledgeable. I could keep going but what you need to know is these guys get it done and done right! I have used them multiple times and often it was to fix what someone else had repaired. No reason to call anyone else ever again. Say hello to your last electrician!

I was able to get an appointment fairly quickly. Unfortunately, the technician broke a piece of electrical equipment that I had purchased while trying to install it. D and P electric refunded me the cost of the equipment (over $300) as well as refunded me the original service charge. Mistakes happen, that's life. D and P gets 5 stars from me for their responsive and professional customer service to make things right with the customer for the mistake.

Installed the outside outlet for our car charger for a great price, handled all the code paperwork so we could submit state reimbursement. When the breaker failed a few years later, called them back out and they were quick again to fix. If you need an electrician for your EV work, highly recommend

Excellent company to deal with - on every level. I recently completed a renovation and addition to my house. Of the 15 trades I dealt with during the project, D&P was the best. They are professional in every way. They helped solve problems along the way and gave great advice. They are absolutely Dependable & Prompt.

Lloyd came to take down an old ceiling fan that had stopped working and install a new one. He was great! Very kind and professional. I was surprised at how quickly the work was preformed and he didn’t even need to look at the installation manual for putting up the new fan! He ensured the workspace was neat and tidy. I’m very pleased with his work and the new fan looks and works great! We will be sure to use D & P Electrical Services Inc. again if we need any more electric work done. The receptionist, Ann, is wonderful as well.

We had a bit of an emergency and were looking for an electrician who could come by our house the day we called. The very high and very heavy ceiling fan in the loft of our house had detached from the ceiling and was hanging by a slender wire or two about 10 feet up. In addition, the decorative plate had come loose from the ceiling fan in the master bedroom though the connecting post seemed to be intact, and we wanted the electrician to look at that and check for safety as well. Ann who was manning the phone at D&P answered our call early Monday morning and couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We had a lovely conversation and she promised she would try to get someone out to us that very day. Eric arrived a half hour earlier than scheduled and started working right away. He determined that the reason the fan dropped down was because of the dangerously improper way the fan had been mounted and went to work on repairs. This involved bringing a 12 foot ladder up 4 flights of stairs, detaching the 35 LB fan and climbing down the ladder with it tucked under one arm. Next step was to insert a new box and framing and attach it properly to the ceiling. Then he had to walk the fan with its 5 wooden paddles sticking out at all angles back up the ladder and attach it properly to the new framing. Despite having to make multiple trips up and down the 4 flights of stairs in addition to what was physically taxing and dangerous work with the fan, his demeanor could not have been more patient and pleasant. When he finished with the loft fan it was decided he would take a look at the fan in the master bedroom to see if it had also been installed in an improper manner. Sure enough the fan which hung directly over the bed, was hanging by a single screw. Despite him having to have been bone tired he went to work securing that fan as well. Finally, after a bottle of water and an oatmeal cookie he took a look at the guest room fan. Fortunately that one was ok. We simply could not have had a better experience or a better outcome. If either of those fans - especially the loft fan which was so high up had crashed down on me or my wife it could have seriously injured or in the case of the loft fan, even killed us. This is not an exaggeration. Thanks to D&P's helpfulness and exceptional customer service we were able to fix the problem right away. Thanks to Eric's strenuous and uncomplaining labor, his expertise and highly personable manner we felt at ease almost immediately and feel safe again in our home. Contrast this with what was happening at almost the same time to our next door neighbor who, while Eric was calmly and pleasantly working on a very difficult, dangerous and taxing job texted us that the technician from the alarm company who was at her home couldn't have been more gruff or incompetent. In doing a check on her system he accidentally signaled a medical alert which prompted the city to send an ambulance to her house and call her mother! We could literally hear him in the back alley shouting into his phone at the people in the office. What a mess and what a difference.

We are grateful to D&P and to Eric especially for going above and beyond!

Caution: Ann (receptionist) and Tommy (electrician) were great. Tommy came out originally and thoroughly explained everything that could be done to fix me and my wife's home. Long story short, a different electrician came out, and I learned after I left that he was extremely unprofessional and insulted me to my wife after I left for work. I almost used this company again for another job, but if they have employees that act the way that was described to me, I'll be surprised if they stay in business.

Beware. I used these guys because I like to support local businesses. They didn't show up for this morning's appointment which was to fix a smart dimmer switch that they ruined on their last trip.
