Nick and his team did a great job on our deck rehab project. They provided fantastic work at a very competitive price. We will definitely use them in the future and refer them to friends and family. Thanks again!

Nick and his team did the addition on my home. They added a half bathroom and brought our washer/dryer upstairs. We couldn’t be more pleased!! The quality is really great and Nick is very detail-oriented. He was very responsive and answered all of my questions. He does thorough, beautiful work. His team was courteous and professional. We will absolutely be using him for all of our future projects. He has lifelong customers with us!

Nick was able to create an addition to my home that included a half bathroom, a closet and space for my washer/dryer on the main floor. His team was meticulous, friendly, good with our children and professional. The end result looks amazing, as if it was the part of the original house. We will be using Birddog Designs for all of our future projects moving forward. The price, quality and timeline is unmatched compared to any of the competition!

BirdDog does ALL of my contract and design work. I am a real estate investor and trust them with not only my properties, but my personal home renovations as well. Nick and his team are communicative and their project management is incredible. Their quality of work never disappoints. I also recommend them to all of my clients! Can't go wrong with hiring them for any project.

Nick and Jake from BirdDog Designs were absolutely great and professional for our complete kitchen and half bath remodel They had great ideas and very helpful recommending stores were we could pick our fixtures and tile for backsplash. They offered very fair pricing as well as completed the project in very timely manner. I would definitely work with them again!

Birddog Designs beautifully designed and built my outdated kitchen. It is now the focal point of our home! I recommend them for anyone, on any scale or scope of project!

There are good contractors out there…and then there’s Nick Serbeck and Bird Dog Designs, who honestly feel like they’re in a league of their own when it comes to their integrity, the quality of their work, and how they treat their clients. My wife and I had a horrifying HVAC contractor experience last year. One that left us deeply distrustful about letting another contractor into our home, after the first one promised a 2-week job and took 6 months (we have a toddler and lived without furniture for four of those months), over-charged us, lied to us, and did shoddy work (which we are still getting fixed, and some of which Nick fixed). Nick and his crew were a corrective experience from the start. It’s clear that Nick is an artist and takes a lot of pride in his craft and building/keeping trust with people. He had creative ideas for how to design our new kitchen. He worked within our budget and found us ways to save. He was communicative, honest, and caring in all of our interactions. He estimated a 3-week job (we initially scoffed at this) and delivered in 22 days. Nick is truly in a different class when it comes to contractors. His crew’s attention to detail was phenomenal (see photo of the sliver of backsplash tile they cut to fit under our cabinet, when most contractors would have likely filled the gap with grout). It was such a pleasure to work with Nick and his guys that we ended up adding some small projects to the job, including having them build a new firewood shed and a new composite/trex patio. We have the kitchen and outdoor space of our dreams and Nick has customers for life.

Nick and his team did a fantastic job start to finish! We were able to stay on time and budget with the project. Highly recommend!

We have hired BirdDog Designs for multiple projects in our 1960’s fixer upper. First, they renovated our master bathroom. They completely gutted the bathroom and moved walls and plumbing to create a more functional space for us. They installed new dry wall, tiled our shower and bathroom floor, and set a new toilet and vanity. We were so happy with our new bathroom that we hired them to completely renovate our kitchen. They completely gutted the original kitchen and removed a load bearing wall, which was replace with an LVL beam. They re-routed multiple HVAC ducts and ran new electrical for our appliances. They installed brand new cabinets, counters, and appliances. We absolutely love our new kitchen! Nick and the BirdDog team communicate well, they are punctual, and very professional. They offer a quality product at an affordable price. We can’t wait to work with them on our next project.

Highly recommend BirdDog Designs! Nick was quick to come out and provided a quote the same day. Leslie was amazing to work with to design my dream bathroom! She had great suggestions that aligned with my style and within budget. Lupe did an awesome job putting it all together. I plan to use them again for all future projects!

We hired BirdDog for our bathroom remodel and we are so happy we did! The photos speak for themselves, but we were so impressed with the result! Nick was quick to come out and give us an estimate. He easily understood our needs and worked with us to get a price that fit our budget. He was also able to work the schedule and got us started earlier than we expected! Within 9 days (less than estimated), we had a completely new, beautiful bathroom! The crew was top notch- Lupe, Benny, and Al were excellent! They did it all, start to finish- demo, construction, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and finishing. They tarped off the walkways and were conscientious of how everything was left between days. They were 100% knowledgeable of what the job needed and made recommendations on how to achieve the best possible result. I trust them completely with our home, we will absolutely be considering BirdDog again for any future bathroom (or kitchen) renovation. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my shed with carports was not constructed properly. The carport is sagging so standing water sits on the roof. Nick has yet to return any calls and emails. I have had a number of qualified contractors evaluate the construction failure.
It is clearly the faught of the builder, BirdDog Designs. The shed was also constructed without adequate ventilation. Again I have reached out to Nick but he has not returned one call or email. I really thought Nick was an honorable man. I hired him because of his veteran status but this was really disappointing, let alone costly.
Response to "Birddog Team":
I am beyond disappointed that you do not warranty construction failures beyond a year. I have hired many contractors for my business and have rarely had such poorly constructed work not be addressed by the contractor. A structure that big, that expensive, should NEVER fail in a matter of a few years. As you can see from the pictures, the plywood is rotting. Water sits on the roof. The roof is no longer safe to walk on the clear leaves, it. It sags when you walk on it. This is clearly sub-standard work.
Regarding passing an inspection: As you know in the business, building inspections are very subjective. I have seen a sorts of work pass that was unacceptable and acceptable work not pass. It is not a consistent measure of workmanship.
The venting issue is also a concern. I would never agree to not properly vent the space. I do wish you returned my many calls and emails regarding this construction failure. The shed was not installed correctly. That is the problem. Blaming it on wood that is a few years old which is under cover is a poor excuse.
I am simply requesting that you repair the issues that are causing my roof to sag and deteriorate. -
This construction failure was never addressed (see below). Birddog said it was out of warranty even though it was just over 3 years old. I think it is reasonable to expect a roof and the plywood under the shingles not to rot just over three years. Birddog offered nothing. Not an offer to remedy the failing lean-to, not any funds to help offset the demo and construction of the lean-to plywood and roof. This was a big financial hit to my family and I am so disappointed. I have been in the real estate biz for 23 years. I really trusted the owner/contractor and always want to employee veterans. Consider asking for longer warranties than 3 years because you are on your own after that. Nick may state that 3 years is some standard but I know enough contractors that simply would have done the right thing. Even splitting the cost would have been helpful. :(
