Great Experience!! I had Brown Electric come to my house and install outdoor lighting for my back yard as well as install a outdoor ceiling fan for my screened in back porch. The service manager was very knowledgeable on any questions I had and gave me his opinion on the best options.

Everything turned out great and they were very cautious and considerate when installing everything. I highly recommend and will definitely use them again for any future needs!!

I schedule service on 5/13 to switch out smoke detectors and install a combination one. Agreed to provided the materials since it s cheaper to do so, and have also agreed to pay the minimum service charge of $208, assuming switching 5 smoke detectors and checking 2 electric outlets won't take more than 2 hrs. ( Per MD Fire fighters Exchanging 1 smoke detector takes roughly about 6 min - given no drilling or wiring involves). After the technician arrived, unfortunately I was told I have the wrong material. Immediately got a call from "service manager" who basically read out my 2 options. One he can buy the materials and I can pay for it but also will charge me an additional $208 for labor (total of $416) regardless of how long it will take to complete the work, if not then I will lose the original $208. despite the technician didn't do any work. I asked if he can consider to charge 1hr for travel time instead since the technician didn't touch anything at all , but he refused. I told him to enjoy my money and hung up the phone. I was really disappointed because he didn't even bother to try to work with me. Yes money is important but it's only fruitful when you earn it!!! I now understand why people rated him Poorly with 1 Star , to be honest I wish there was an option for 0 because that's what he is.

Called one evening for an estimate, I was told she ( the person taking my call for an estimate) would give me a call or someone else. Next day no call, I gave them a follow up call, left a message, days later still no call.
This turned out to be good by looking at the rating they already have I don't know if I would have had a good experience anyway.
