Dana is the most all round experienced plumber I have ever met and he has passed that knowledge through his employees and carries out any and all jobs to perfection!!!!

I do business with them often and they just took out my oil tank, oil boiler and indirect hot water tank to install a new gas service for me in Weston.

Dana, suggested Lochinvar boiler and SuperStar in direct water heater. Install went well and got impacted with no issues. My house has double the hot water now with instant pour out of showers and faucets.

We used to turn up the hot water know to max with our oil heated system and now with Lochinvar boiler we only turn it to half way.

I highly recommend this company for a leaky toilet to new plumbing system installs. Look at the before and after pictures.

Top notch team! I've had Dana and his team over for plumbing & service calls before, and have always loved the work and their work ethic. This made it a no-brainer for when I had a leaking hot-water-heater situation. I called Dana, and he was able to have his team over within an hour with a new water heater. Chris and Shawn were super professional, did a really nice job installing, hauled away the old heater and cleaned up the area and the pathway nicely at the end. All in all, definitely call them for your Plumbing and Heating needs. I have never been disappointed, and I do not think you will be either. Thank you D.H. MacLeod Plumbing & Heating!

I called around and found them to offer a reasonable fair price for a water heater replacement. Shawn also answered quickly on any questions I had on the heater itself.

A week before the scheduled install, my heater started dripping. And they were able to reschedule my appointment to the coming Monday. Nick and the other guy who came over was efficient and polite. Also explained things as they go.

Overall a good experience. I plan to call them for my plumbing issues from now on.

Avoid the rogue contractor Allen Bunker who works with this plumbing company.

Allen, a contractor who MacLeod plumbing frequently work with, knowingly overcharged my plumbing cost and and decided to terminate the plumbing contract, leaving my kitchen half finished. Allen charged me 2640+15% mark up while the plumbing company charged Allen $2300. He then held the overcharge hostage and deducted ridiculous payments (that I have filed complaints against) and sent me the rest.

After Allen abandoned the project, I did the following:
(1) asked MacLeod plumbing to bill Allen the amount I overpaid, and I will settle the rest. Macleod plumbing refused to bill Allen, possibly to maintain good relationship with Allen.
(2) asked for the existing plumbing contract so I know the scope of the work that’s left. MacLeod declined to send me.
(3) then I at least wanted to get the scope of work in writing before paying the remaining balance, so that I have it documented, in case something comes up in the future. MacLeod then said I’m too difficult to work with and would close the permit.
(4) MacLeod threatened to accuse me of slander if I post a negative review here and TAKE ME TO COURT. However, everything I said here can be backed up with evidence. MacLeod said he would post our emails in his defense. Save the trouble, I already attached them.

You may say my problem is really with Allen and not the plumbing company. I agree Allen started this, and I have already filed a complaint against his license. However, I want to post this review as a warning to future customers of MacLeod plumbing THROUGH ALLEN. If similar situation happens, you would be helpless.
(1) The plumbing company wouldn’t bill Allen the overcharge, and
(2) let’s say forget Allen and I just want to get the work done. In this case the plumbing company wouldn’t confirm the scope of work that’s left.
(3) they would threaten to accuse me of slander for posting a negative review.

They said they didn’t want to know what happened between Allen and me, but after I described the context, they ignored it and said Allen is an upright guy. This is understandable, because they might want future business with Allen. However, this is why I view that the plumbing company was picking the side of their partner Allen and not the customer.

I never thought it would be so much drama but here we go.
