I recently had an incredible experience with the installation of heat pumps, a new water tank, and other HVAC work at my home from Total Comfort Mechanical. Wendell was very professional, efficient, and highly knowledgeable. Nelson was also great and from the initial consultation to the final installation, they communicated clearly and ensured I understood every step of the process. The heat pumps work great and the Mass Save program was a little confusing but they were patient and explained it throughly.
The technicians were punctual, respectful of my property, and cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done. I am extremely satisfied with the results and would highly recommend Total Comfort Mechanical to anyone in need of HVAC work.

A few years back we bought our central air system from Total Comfort. They were very responsive and did a great gob installing it. Since then, they come every year for the annual maintenance. Recently we renovated our den and did not hesitate to buy a heat pump from them. Their prices are reasonable and competitive.

Heat exchanger broke down and though reluctant, I had to finally get a new furnace. I called four companies for quotes. TCM showed up the same day with a fast measurement of all existing conditions. They didn't come up with the lowest quote, but was willing to work with me to bring it down a little. The installation was scheduled for the next week and it was also quite a smooth process. The technicians all wore shoe covers and left my home in a very clean state. Nelson was the main technician responsible for the installation, and taught me much more knowledge about furnaces than I knew. He was so kind and generous with his time and expertise. Beautiful human being. He also noticed that one of the outlets near my furnace was out of power and helped fix it. Would definitely use TCM again if needs come.

Excellent service - ease of scheduling and direct communication with company.

The tech saw I was wearing a mask and offered to wear one, of which we were so appreciative. He even noticed we were a shoe free household and took them off on his own accord! The service itself was also highly professional and informative. Everyone I had an interaction with was excellent. I highly recommend!

Total Comfort installed two Mitsubishi hyper heat heat pump units at my house replacing an existing oil furnace hvac. Wendell and his team did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them. From the initial quote process, efficient scheduling of the job, quality install work and helpful office team that handled all of the necessary mass save rebate paperwork it was a great experience.

It is a pleasure to have my furnace/AC serviced by "James" at Total Comfort Mechanical. He also sold me my heat pump system. James is extremely knowledgeable, competent and personable and has been available to address any questions or problems that arise . I would highly recommend him and have been very satisfied with my heat pump from TCM.

Looking for an HVAC company? We were lucky enough to find TCM! From the salesman James to their install crew led by Nelson, we can't say enough good things about them. Very knowledgeable about all the latest equipment including any and all rebates available with Mass Save. Extremely professional and the installation was neat and clean! The owner Wendell ensures his team goes above and beyond. A++ Would highly recommend.

We needed to replace our 20+ year Central AC system. James came in and worked with us to provide a fair and reasonable quote. We reviewed plans that included AC with and without a heat pump. We chose to go with AC with a heat pump. Nelson and his installation crew were professional, and clean. Meire in the office submits for any available rebates. Thorough job and I feel very confident they will stand behind their installation.

Total Comfort Mechanical -- our original A/C installer was contacted to do that work and handled it all wonderfully and and a fair price. We haven't been a customer for very long, but have been quite happy with Total Comfort so far! We have worked with them for our heating and AC system annual maintenance. The technician who came over (Cam) was prompt, right on time, courteous- and not only did good work but took the time to educate us on our systems. The pricing was transparent and reasonable as well.

Wendell and his team recently completed the installation of several energy efficient Mitsubishi mini split AC/heating units and a very complex move of some boiler lines and the associated oil tank in advance of a basement remodel -which allowed us to really take advantage of the new space and full height of the basement ceiling prior to the remodel. They worked seamlessly with the framing, plumbing, electrical and flooring crews involved without any of my involvement which helped me save considerable time and effort as well. Communication was outstanding throughout the process and the price was very fair and reasonable. I could not be more impressed with this firm and would not hesitate to recommend them for any of your HVAC projects small or large. I highly doubt there is a better contractor out there in the Boston area for HVAC work than this firm.
