Don came out within a day to address our boiler issues which left us with no heat or hot water. Within two days he had not only diagnosed but replaced several parts that had failed due to a corroded release valve. Don's price for the job was below what we were expecting to pay, especially considering the amount of work and parts needed--and the speediness of the repair. Nice guy, to boot!

Don Ranieri is a very reliable person when it comes to servicing furnaces. When your furnace breaks and you have no heat, prompt service is very important. He treats the consumer fairly and has an entourage of service people on his team if he needs remote assistance while on a job. I would recommend him highly.

I was selling an old house and I need to fix a few plumbing issues, leaking shutoff valves and such. He was busy, but made time to come over and assess the situation with me. He agreed to do the work on Friday, but came earlier on Wednesday to shut off the water in the house and replace what needed to be replaces. He was reasonably priced, thorough, dependable, and definitely a problem solver. He was exactly what I needed to handle the old house. Great guy to talk to as well.

He even fixed a couple of things the inspector didn't report.

Don once again saved the day for me, with a quick response and by showing up the next morning to have a look at my furnace, which was starting to make some noise from the blower area. I had others suggesting that the motor or the ball bearings were going, all costly fixes (from listening to a recording of the sound). Don thought it was more of an intake airflow issue, and asked me to try dropping down the air filter MERV rating from the 10 and 12 which I had been using. I went out and bought a MERV 6 rating filter, which is fine for my needs and the condo. The noise went away. A quick visit and solid advice! He has always found time to come by quickly, and assess situations, clearly spelling out a plan and cost, and then does what he says. He never tries to upsell me on anything that is beyond what I need to solve my issue. I have to say, some of the other larger companies have done exactly that. He has helped me with HVAC, Water Heater, and general plumbing in the past, and I have never had any issues or surprises.

Don Ranieri Plumbing has been the worst, most incompetent plumber to deal with. Do not ever use him!! He is shady and unwilling to admit when he makes mistakes - and his mistake has cost us thousands. He installed a stainless steel water heater in our home a few months ago. Our glass lined water heater lasted 17 years and gave us no problems until it started tripping our electrical panel. We knew it was probably not going to last much longer so Don suggested replacing it now versus waiting for it to go completely - which made sense to us. He replaced it with a stainless steel that was purchased from F.W. Webb. However, the stainless steel components don't react well with our hard water. We have had to have the internal units replaced twice now in the past 2 months. FYI - we have had NO issues with our hard water. Don has stated that he's not a water guy so it's not his problem. He also told me that to solve this problem, I needer to install a whole house water filtration system ($1300 - $1800). The manufacturer has admitted to us that Don made a very bad judgement installing a stainless steel water heater for our home. He should have stayed with the glass lined unit and we would not have had these problems. Don has been rude, dismissive and unwilling to work with us to get this resolved. Please, do NOT work with him!! You don't know what you're getting!

We paid for Don to replace a leaking pipe and install a new shutoff. We had similar work done at our vacation house in CT. Very similar price, but the one in CT was done on an emergency basis, plumber stayed for 4 hrs until job completed. This was also on a day where he was getting dozens of other calls, but he stayed to fix our leak. Don came on Fri at 3:30 and said it was too late for any fix, so after 25 min, just left and shut off our hot water to all our bedrooms until he could come back. Finally, by following Friday it was fixed, after 4 trips total here while he and his helper brought stuff and made excuses each time why he couldn’t finish the job, all while I had no hot water to my bedrooms. I had to have my sister come and let him in, take one day off work myself, and come home early another day. He seems to think people are fooled into paying more $ for more trips, but I would have been happier if he fixed it the first time. Doesn’t understand dual working couples, wasted what precious little vacation I have. Not again!!!
