Ethan's Eden did a wonderful job designing and landscaping the area around my front door. They included some lovely stones with a stone border along the walkway, which really gave it a beautiful finished appearance. I have also found them super friendly to work with and helpful to consult on various issues like destructive rabbits, grubs, etc.

I contacted several landscapers to discuss work; Ethan's Eden is the only one that responded. They will be doing extensive work on our property in the spring; this fall they reseeded our front lawn which was overrun with broadleaf weeds. They did this October 5th; it's now the 23rd. The lawn looks AMAZING and I'm told it will look even better in a few more weeks. After many years of having a sad looking lawn this is a big change for us and I'm thrilled. Ethan was very attentive during our intitial meeting and follow-up phone calls and had recommendations I would not have thought of. I'm very happy with his work so far and feel confident that the stonework and perennial beds planned for spring will be pretty wonderful.

The stonework and beds I referred to above have just been finished - because of a big demand for Goshen stone, many projects in the area have been delayed. It was so worth the wait. I am really thrilled with the work done by Ethan and Nikki and their team. Nikki chose my native plants with great love and care. She listened to all my specifications and requests, but I could have just butted out because her design was absolutely brilliant. The stone walkway is so beautiful that I sat on my porch steps looking at it for hours after the crew had departed, and expect to spend many more. There were so many little extra touches I hadn't thought of, and that I love, that I am still in a daze. I had such a sad, dingy-looking walkway and poorly chosen and ill-maintained shrubbery and now I have an inviting, beautiful space that I'm so proud of. Of course, now I want to have Ethan's Eden just take over my whole yard and transform everything - not just the front of the house. Maybe someday? I recommend this business wholeheartedly.

Nikki designed a well thought out plan for our property in Northampton using predominantly native species. Ethan oversaw the crew installing the plants. We get comments all the time on how beautiful our outside looks all the time. Would highly recommend Ethan’s Eden!

They listen to what we need, and respond with both creativity and thought, and they have helped us make our yard look better than it has since we moved in 21 years ago (the previous owners were excellent gardeners). Excellent to work with! We had Ethan design a beautiful multi-tiered garden for the front of our home. It came out better than anyone expected.

We had some ugly utility boxes (Cable company, power company, etc) in the garden and he came up with a trellis design that completely hides these from view yet they are still accessible by the utilities.

Our garden transformation is like night and day to what it was before. He even warranties the work for a year - even thru the winter. He came and wrapped the larger plants and trees in burlap before winter and came in the spring to uncover, and fertilize.

Ethan and his team evaluated and then cleaned out my back hill area. There were bushes and other plantings there, but the area had become so overgrown that you could not tell they were there. It looks fantastic now. I have future plans for which I will most certainly come back to Ethan and his team to have them complete. I highly recommend him for your landscaping needs.

Our family began having work done at our home from Ethan's Eden Landscape almost 20 years ago. They have always been responsive to our needs and creative in helping us with any landscape, lawn, or cleanup issues. Their staff has always been friendly and supportive to our needs. As we get older, many of the jobs we used to do are now taken care of by Ethan and we are happy to have someone of his values to take care of the outside of our home.

I had Ethan's Eden do some work a few months ago to design, plan, and install a pea stone patio, shrubs, plants, mulched beds and regrading in front of the house. When Ethan first came to visit my house he immediately came up with some ideas in multiple areas. I think the thing I appreciated the most was his eye for good design and making it all flow with the landscaping that was already there. I was initially thinking to remove some older plants and replace them with something else but he assured me he could do a bit pruning to make them look much better. He was right and the small changes to the existing shrubs tied everything together nicely.
I would recommend him to others and would use him again for future landscaping.

We have used Ethan's Eden over the past six years since moving to Amherst for everything in our large yard, including: initial and ongoing landscape design, installment of several beds, fertilizing, mowing, over seeding, spring/fall cleanups, and referral to other professional when needed (ie late tree work). We recently moved into a new home with flowerbeds that were neglected for several years. One in particular was very overgrown and we couldn't catch up with it. Ethan and his team helped us identify which plants we wanted to keep and they weeded the rest. It looks like an entirely new flowerbed! We couldn't be happier with the work done by Ethan and his crew! At each stage of the process, from planning to execution, Ethan was thorough, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. He transformed a plain and lackluster back yard into a beautiful succession of flower and plant beds. Beyond offering specific plant recommendations, he also talked about creating a flow for the viewer's eye, suggesting we add a trellis to fill space on a featureless section of siding. He also built latticework to hide ugly Bilco doors. During the process, he re-graded the area, fixing a standing water problem we've had for years. And when one or two of the ornamental grasses we chose died due to excessive rainfall, he came and replaced them free of charge. Ethan, Nikki and team did an outstanding job for us! We bought a new home and had a few ideas for our landscaping. They took those ideas and ran with them - and added many of their own. They listened to our goals and used their expertise to create a wonderful oasis for us. They did a fantastic job from start to finish - great communication, design, installation and care. Their crew worked their butts off in some tough heat, were always thoughtful and polite. They have also followed up to be sure everything looks healthy and that we are happy - which we are! I cannot say enough about this company and its people. We just moved into this house this winter and there was so much overgrown shrubbery and unidentifiable growth. I first contacted them in early March and Ethan came out as soon as the snow was gone to look things over and come up with a plan for pruning, removing, preserving and mulching. I had the proposal within a couple of days and scheduled the work. Ethan and Nikki's crew showed up bright and early and Ethan walked around going over what was to be done and they didn't stop working until it was done, more than 9 hours later! The result was incredible, like night and day and we couldn't be happier. On top of that, a couple of neighbors asked about the work that was done and I was very happy to refer them to the firm. I anticipate having them back next spring to do some design work and other landscaping. This is a company I am thrilled with which to do business and would recommend them to anyone!
