Knowing a magnitude of people in Massachusetts and adjoining states, a group of private investors requested that I perform a visual assessment of a road crew(s). Baltazar Contractors from Ludlow Ma a local company was hired by the city of Chicopee to work Fuller Road in Chicopee. Given no certain company name I chose this one due to its close proximity to my home & commute. When they broke ground it was frustrating because it seamed to happen over night and created a lot of traffic for commuters and local residents. I needed to stay focused, unbiased and follow protocol. I read all the past reviews of this company I could find on line .I am irate at how the public seamed to be judging this crew. Considering the dimensions of their congested work space with a moving crew of 20 plus workers and factoring in multiple pieces of heavy equipment, countless commuters, school buses housed/stationed near by. And after speaking to select commuters they appeared to use the site and crew as an excuse, these men arrived on site 7:30 Monday- Friday and would start maneuvering to start the days production to it's next location on site. Commuters needing to be at their place of employment by 8/9 AM would collide with the crew & site which was still the site from the day before. Each group : the city of Chicopee, Baltazar and commuters all play(ed) a critical role in the actions performed daily on Fuller Rd. The road crew should not be faulted for trying to perform a service/job for the city and commuters to make a safer travel route. I observed this crew as diligent and never appeared ostentatious They are not an excuse merely a part of a solution. Commuters with concerns with travel should (have) seek alternate route's to help keep balance in this situation
. According to my information this job is due to conclude spring/summer of 2023. As for the ratio of workers 8/10 or 9/12 dose not apply to said job site It appeared to be an equal balance of working components during each visit/ pass on site Fuller Rd. I commend this Road Crew for all they have accomplished to date Thank you to the Road Crew Baltazar Contractors keep up the great work, L. Chapin

    Fuller road Chicopee MA...
    * I am editing my previous review...
At the beginning of the Fuller road project the backup of traffic was horrendous. Businesses were inaccessible and shipments had to be rescheduled, causing unnecessary production delays.
Moving forward... Apparently they tried something different because about 2 months into the project there was a noticeable change in the way traffic was being directed and businesses weren't being totally blocked off and inaccessible. Instead of having to wait up to 10 or more minutes for sporadic, opposing traffic to pass through the one lane, the maximum time waiting is now less than 5 minutes. Usually less. The people directing traffic seem to be paying more attention to what's happening around them now, and are less concerned with their phones.

The installed concrete in a re-paving effort Converse St. Longmeadow,MA. Its will be 2 years and they have no fixed or completed the issues they left. Take a look at the photo's of their handy work. You can make your own decisions. Will return with more from all over the street. The state is dragging heals and so is this company. If you would like to reach out then reply to this comment and maybe you can fix it?

Poor work, and from what i know they don't fix it. They have gotten into trouble with multiple job and because of low bidding they keep getting contracts .. then try to up the rate , as they missed items,. Bad work wouldn't hire

Currently doing construction on Fuller in Chicopee, no warning that construction is ahead and you will be trapped for an hour. Rude woman when you actually get close enough to see construction is happening

In Enfield Connecticut September 2018 they cut a huge hole in the road and put no signs or cones. At 8 p.m. my 16 year old son hit this and caused $500 worth of damage to his car. It is now April 2019 and I am still trying to get them to pay for the damage. They refuse to even contact me
