I reached out to EML for issues I had with my dryer. Ed and his colleague Marcus were very attentive and professional throughout the job explaining what the issues were as well as going above and beyond to extend further services. It never felt like a hard sell and the benefits of each service were appropriately explained. Cost aside, EML genuinely takes pride in their work and helping those who need it. Highly recommend and will be using EML in the future

I live in a 100 year old house. Everyone told me how difficult it is to retrofit an older house for central AC so I have been putting it off as long as I could. This year, I finally decided to finish the attic and install Central AC. A friend of mine highly recommended EML Mechanical so I called them and Eddie came over for an assessment.

Eddie is extremely knowledgeable about all the available options and new systems (various new ductless and ducted systems). He listened to my goals for finishing the attic and the future floor plan. Then he thoroughly explained the best possible options for my project which would be more energy efficient, look better, and take up far less space outside the house.

Eddie and his team are absolutely awesome! Their professionalism, responsiveness, and high quality work is much appreciated. I work from home and this team was so thoughtful and professional in keeping the space clean. The ducted mini split systems were installed as scheduled and on time. The system works amazingly well and I'm so happy It's in place. Many thanks to Eddie and his fantastic team!

EML - phenomenal! After experiencing an issue with my HVAC, I called their office (after business hours), and received a text message shortly after… they helped me try and fix the issue on my own that same night, and then arrived the next day to fully resolve the problem. Great service and reliable. Highly recommend them if you are in the Somerville / Medford area.

Ed and his team did a fantastic job. We were able to get scheduled in a short time frame, they came over and cleaned our vents and also cleaned up after they were done. Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be utilizing them again in the future.

Eddie and Markus came out to diagnose a cooling issue in my commercial unit. They scheduled me for same day diagnosis and arrived on time and started immediately after explaining the steps very thoroughly. Eddie found two issues preventing cooling to my unit and repaired both. In just over an hour my system was running better than before and blowing cool air! Markus and Eddie both were very professional and knowledgeable, they knew exactly what to look for. As well as fixing the issue they labeled my system for future reference and left the place clean. I would definitely recommend them for all your hvac needs.

Ed and the team did a phenomenal job on 2 heat pump installs. They did great work and were very knowledgeable and efficient. Communication was excellent. Would highly recommend EML.

Loved working with EML! Really nice, respectful group of guys who did a great job with our mini-split installation. We were having trouble with our MassSave rebate and Eddie was able to help figure out the paperwork, which I particularly appreciated. Highly recommend!

Ed and team were very knowledgeable and professional when they installed 2 new heat pumps in my home as well as reconfigure all ductwork in the attic. In less than a week the new systems were up and running heating my home and ready to cool it in the summer. Highly recommend Ed Lavalle and his crew at EML Mechanical. Ed gave a great first impression during the initial consultation and was very responsive thereafter. Sent a variety of options, and worked with me to select the best one for my situation. His crew was professional, courteous and clean. They installed an awesome Bosch ducted heat pump, already loving it and our new Ecobee smart thermostat. If you're looking to upgrade your HVAC system and take advantage of the credits/rebates out there, use EML!

Ed was great, he was on time, very friendly and professional and took the time to explore different options for us. His entire team was professional, great group of guys. We replaced a 26 year old furnace system in a tight space on the 3rd Floor of an old house. It was not an easy task but Ed and his team got it done flawlessly. Couldn't be happier with EML Mechanical. We had them replace a high-velocity AC system, a mini-split, and install a Google Nest thermostat. Now that temps are in the 90s I'm especially thankful for their work. Eddie came out and gave us a straightforward quote and a great price. Zoran, Ed, and Sam were so respectful of our home during the installation. I highly recommend them for anyone with HVAC needs in the Boston area.

Ed is extremely knowledgeable, honest and provides excellent service. He came out promptly to assess the project after my initial outreach to replace our A/C system. He provided a thorough quote including options and talked us through the pros/cons of each option. He also provided valuable information regarding rebates available from the local utility company for purchasing the system. Ed and Marcus were outstanding to work with during the demolition of the old system and installation of the new system which took place over several days. They showed up when they said they would and were professional and friendly at all times. I would recommend EML Mechanical to anybody and everybody!

EML Mechanical installed a mini split air handling system in our archive to provide climate control for our historic collection of photographs and documents. Eddie was so helpful and accommodating during the course of this project and the installation was easy to schedule and took place very quickly. We are so thrilled with the results, the new system is working beautifully!

These guys are the absolute best! They do our regular hvac check ups but this year we had an emergency. The day we were supposed to fly out on a trip we woke up to a very strange smell coming out of one of the vents. We reached out to EML and they were able to come that day. They were extremely thorough and made sure everything was all set. I was so grateful! They are always kind and courteous and do excellent work.

Showed up when and on time. Very personable and his employees were very professional. They covered floors and cleaned up after. The work was very neat and very thorough. Was impressed with the attention to detail they tested everything and took the time to show me how to use and maintain equipment. Would recommend them anytime.

I contacted Ed for a special project on an island range hood installation with no duct work to vent outside the house, what’s more special, the position of the hood is in the middle of the house, which is making it very difficult to figure out a way to install the duct pipe to vent outside. Ed quickly responded my call and very responsively on the text/call discussion. He showed up on a scheduled date (even earlier) and burnt his entire afternoon and Marcus to uninstall the old hood, and to find a perfect spot to vent the ductwork outside the house, without damaging the ceiling and, hide all ductwork in the joists bay above the ceiling. He also helped mount the new range hood’s rack and also spent extra hours to figure out the very confusing manual. The final result is perfect and I have tried the hood several times, it is working perfectly! He also vacuum and wiped everything afterwards. I will use him again for anything else in the future, highly recommend!

I called EML mechanical on a Sunday describing my ac issue. Told them it wasn’t urgent and that I could wait a few days. They showed up the following day and addressed my issue quickly and efficiently! I have used them before and highly recommend them!

Texted Eddie at 8:30 that my unit wasn’t working. Sam showed up at 9 and was finished and had fixed everything by 9:30. Best service ever! EML is and will continue to be my go to for HVAC work! 9/5/25

6/24 EML was great to work with. Communicated expectations clearly and worked with our schedule. The team that worked on my AC was courteous, thoughtful, transparent and most importantly did fabulous work and let no mess behind. Cleaner than when they came. I highly recommend EML for any HVAC work you need done.
