We’ve used Dave and his team three times, and each time, they have been clutch for our plumbing needs. For the recent need, we called at 7 a.m. and we had the crew out an hour later. They always do a great job and pay great attention to detail.

We had our hot water heater replaced and found Beacon Mechanical Service to be very helpful in selecting a heater, and the setup was done in a professional manner. We also had all our questions answered. Installation prices were fair market price.

the techs sit in the trucks for 4 hours at a time and bill you for this. Im not sure if the company asks them to do it or just lazy workers trying to pass the day. Keep an eye on them and take pics and call office. they are not cheap!!

Beacon Mechanical swapped in a new combi system for my older boiler and rerouted pipes out of my foundation in roughly October 2022. Went with them because the owner seemed nice and knowledgeable and they were reasonable price-wise.

My heating system has been the bane of my existence since then. Its honestly been a central piece of the toughest few years of my life. A lot of communication at first dropped to a lack of communication once into the job, partially as they worked to setup another business location in florida?

A "qualifies for $2750 rebate" on the quote turned out to be $1600 in reality. "Assistance filing for a mass save rebate & loan" turned into me having to track down model numbers, edit PDFs to put proper support on there, and barely get it all in on time.

My basement loop sat empty for at least a couple months in between the install and the basement loop re-run, which certainly in part led to excessive pin-hole leaking in my basement once refilled, getting below my LVT flooring and causing me to have to rip it up to dry out. Additional pinhole leaking took place upstairs as well, ruining a good corner of a room of hardwood floor and forcing me to manually empty out buckets for weeks as I tried to get someone to come out to fix it.

Then finally after all the leaking in my loops had been fixed, a circulator pump installed basically exploded and flooded a good deal of my basement, they said it was equipment failure. Now my entire heating setup looks like garbage, covered in nasty corrosion from the boiler loop water, looks 10 years old.

Then the next circulator pump installed was installed backwards, causing weird noises...we finally complained enough about to get someone out ("its probably nothing, its probably nothing"), who discovered it was installed backwards, god knows how this impacted our boiler.

Now finally here I am, and I notice corrosion on one of the main pipes coming out of my Boiler, look inside and the thing is basically falling apart already inside, pinhole leak at a soldered joint.

Get a different company to look at it, I'm looking at $1800 for a patch up up to $5K for a total rework and a water filter install, note that a filter should have been STANDARD with a combi install, and a system flush should have taken place... They call Ideal (boiler mnfg), turns out my boiler installed in 2022 is a 2020 manufactured date, and the warranty was never fully executed. To Beacon's credit they got the warranty pushed through, but now I'm stuck trying to reach this other company to work the warranty into their quote while my new boiler slowly wastes away. It makes me sick to my stomach knowing I'm going to be paying off my mass save 0% loan years after this boiler has had to be replaced.
