We hired Byggmeister to completely renovate our basement. It was by far the most significant home-improvement project that we’ve undertaken. We couldn’t be happier with the results! Byggmeister handled every aspect of the project from the planning through the final inspections. When there was a very minor issue after completion (an exterior door had expanded with the change in weather and needed to be resized), Byggmeister stood by their work and completed that adjustment in a timely way. We’ve recommended Byggmeister to anyone who has asked us for a referral. The next time we do a home-improvement project of any size, Byggmeister will be our first call.

Have been using Byggmeister for over 20 years. Reliable, honest, trustworthy. Excellent craftsmanship, technical quality of work. Won't do work they don't think needs to be done. Work areas kept very neat and clean on a daily basis. Staff are excellent communicators and great fun to have around. Company has low turnover which offer continuity and speaks to good management.

From the initial meeting regarding our project until the last day of the work, we were impressed with Byggmeisrter. My husband and I had one project that we wanted to complete that was rather large in scope. We discussed what we wanted in the initial meeting, our budget, and hopefully our timeline. Rachel kindly steered us in another direction, one that made more sense for where we are in our lives. From there every step of the way was reviewed, discussed, and agreed to. Not one part of the project proceeded without complete agreement. Each team member we had contact with was professional and completely understood our project. Everyone we encountered was kind, nice, and professional. We found them all easy to work with and conscience of what it was we wanted. We live in a 100-year-old home and Byggmeister truly understood the historical elements of our home, we appreciated the fact that they are not a company that wants to take out the old and replace it with the new. The work is perfection due to the work ethic and professional ability of every person who touched the project. The worksite was clean and organized, the timeline was for the most part on time. Working with Byggmeister was an experience that I would do again if we had another project.

We worked with Byggmeister to do a home renovation and were thrilled with the whole process. They were tremendous communicators from design through the renovation. They are trustworthy and realistic with their suggestions, and their finished product is amazing. They never tried to upsell us and, in fact, made recommendations that saved us money because they were in the best interest of efficiency or sustainability. They we're extremely flexible and patient as there were times when we wanted to touch every product and times when we needed lots of help picking finishes. We really value that they are an employee owned company that is run by women. We highly recommend Byggmeister and plan to work with them again for an upcoming kitchen remodel.

We hired Byggmeister for a substantial project in our walk-out basement: bringing it down to the studs, improving water management, insulating the space, adding doors and windows to the walk-out side, and finishing it into an extensive home gym, a utility space, and a workshop. We also worked with them to add an upstairs laundry room along the way.

Throughout the project, they were professional, reliable, and trustworthy, and turned our dank, dark, uncomfortable basement into a space our family uses every day. We had a vision, and worked with their team to flesh out the details, and we got the sense that they adapted to the level of involvement we preferred, which was great. Once construction started, they got creative about how to minimize disruption while still getting stuff done, and the team was pleasant and respectful throughout.

They also nerd out on home performance and efficiency with the best of them, which was exactly what we wanted when considering the space we had. In all, we expect our home to be significantly more comfortable now than it was before, even in the areas they never touched, thanks to the thoughtful approach take in the basement.

Byggmeister assisted with the design and build of our kitchen, as well as additional improvements to our dining room and hallway. Their service was beyond my expectations -- professional, thoughtful, personalized, experienced, creative, on-time, and on-budget. I still love my kitchen many years out! What's more, they have gone above and beyond with ongoing support through their warranty program. I highly recommend Byggmeister, and would without hesitation would seek their services.

We used Byggmeister for a basement and third floor renovation and the experience was supremely positive. From initial earrings to design to demo and construction, it was all very collaborative and handled professionally and smoothly. Brendan, Bill, Cador, Meg, Francis and the rest of the team was fantastic to work with. And we are very pleased with the results. We would definitely use Byggmeister again for future projects.

The entire team and process we experienced with Byggmeister was top notch. We live in an old house that had never been updated and we wanted to stay in our footprint. Their design team took the time to really listen to what we wanted. Their budgeting process helped us make decisions, and stay within our budget. And the construction/renovation crew really became members of our family. We trusted them from the beginning and they did not disappoint! Our house transformed from a drafty, dark old house to a bright light filled house that worked so much better for our family. I have no doubt the renovations we did will last generations!

I hired Byggmeister for a long overdue kitchen renovation in my condo. The whole team was fantastic from beginning to end. From the first meeting to define the scope of the project and my expectations, through the design phase, the construction period and even the follow-up (yes they will follow up for 2 years after the project is done). I was a bit nervous entering a 3 month-long period of having no kitchen while also working from home. The team made sure to make the process as smooth as possible. Working with a design/build firm was a great choice for me as they coordinated everything from purchasing to subcontractors, deliveries, etc. All I really had to do is makes choices! The results are fantastic and my only regret is not having done this earlier. I would highly recommend working with Byggmeister for your next renovation project.

I recently did a renovation with Byggmeister, and was so impressed with them from start to finish. They were able to completely transform my cramped mudroom and kitchen into spaces that are now open and functional. Annie had ideas for the design that I never would have thought of and was even able to fit in a new powder room within the existing space. She also did an amazing job helping me select products and finishes to fit the style I was aiming for, and I’m beyond happy with how everything turned out. Our construction manager, Josh, kept everything running so smoothly and the team even managed to finish construction ahead of schedule. In addition, they had some creative solutions to improve our energy efficiency, and our home already feels much more comfortable. Their expertise in this area is one of the many things that drew me to Byggmeister and I felt very confident in their guidance.

Overall, working with everyone at Byggmeister was a pleasure and we are so thrilled with the results. They are professional, knowledgeable, transparent, and stand by their high quality work.

We recently completed a large project with the team and are extremely happy. We were able to turn our musty old basement into a wonderful place the entire family enjoys. This was a project that involved significant structural, electrical, and plumbing components. The Byggmeister team was professional, well-organized, and very talented.
