I highly recommend them!

I generally don't write online reviews, but I'm taking the time to do it today to recommend WS Contractors because of how pleased I am with the work that they recently performed for me (I'm writing this on July 7th, 2025. Please note that I'm not using any A.I. to generate this review, because frankly A.I.-generated reviews annoy the hell out of me.) When I contacted Wagner (owner of WS Contractors,) I had an unusual problem. We keep a small flock of six chickens in a semi-rural area. Knowing that bears might attack our flock, my wife and I found the strongest coop kit we could and built it ourselves, but last year bears ripped open the locked door and killed our entire flock. (Depending on where you live, bear attacks on chicken coops are not unusual, and they're very difficult to defend against because of how powerful the animals are. I'm a full grown 6'2" man in reasonable health, and I couldn't even budge the locked door that that bear ripped open.) So I told Wagner, we need a professionally built new coop, and it needs to be strong enough to stop a determined bear. Wagner was friendly, adaptive, and responsive - I was surprised to find that he and his crew were immediately available to begin - and they listened to us, presented us with a range of design possibilities, provided a quote, got to work, and finished it on schedule (we needed it done by summer, ready for our new flock.) Now we have a lovely coop that's strong enough to confound a bear. During the building process Wagner himself came out several times from his home in Massachusetts (we live in New Hampshire) to supervise the work and assess his worker's progress, and all the builders were friendly and polite. (I want to give a special shout out to Broom and Lucas for their friendliness and work ethic.) Wagner and his crew are hard-working, talented people, but I want to conclude this review by focusing on Wagner's honesty, an especially valuable trait to find in a contractor. Like any builder, Wagner has an eye for spotting potential projects and possible repairs, and he's eager to make a good impression and develop working relationships with customers. Unlike some builders, he is also very trustworthy: if a job doesn't need doing, Wagner will say so, and he won't lie or exaggerate to generate more paying work for himself. For example, while working on our coop, Wagner had a look at our roof shingles at my request, and then came down to tell me that although the shingles were worn, they didn't need replacing yet, and should last us a few more years. So based on his good work for us and Wagner's personal integrity, I highly recommend W.S. Contractors, and I myself will be contacting W.S. Contractors first for all future projects and repairs. In the photo you can see both the new coop built by W.S. Contractors (centered) and the old one in the background on the right side - as you can see, the new coop is built much stronger, much larger, and has plenty of space and height. The stone path to the coop and surrounding gravel mean we can access our chickens and let them out to free-range without worrying about getting ticks on our legs - ticks and lyme disease are unfortunately a big problem around here. (Fortunately, chickens eat ticks!)
