I called the places closest to me and they were the first ones to answer the phone. They arrived promptly, did fast clean work, friendly guys. I was very pleased with the service. And gave me such a good price I felt I had to tip them.

Warren did an excellent job removing a medium size, dead tree in my front yard in West Grand Rapids recently. When he was finished, there were no signs of the tree (no bark, twigs, leaves, or wood chips), the stump had been ground below the yard surface, top soil had been added to level the ground, new grass seed sown, and straw placed on top to prevent the birds from eating the grass seed. I could not have asked for a better job! I highly recommend Western Michigan Tree Removal for tree removal needs.

Warren had done work for me several times over the years. Recently he removed trees and did trimming and stumping grinding - quite the project! He did another great job and is fair and honest. I recommend him to anyone needing help with their trees.

I hired Western Michigan Tree Service and its owner Warren to trim a tree in my backyard, primarily because he was the only company that could show up in a reasonable time. Now I understand why he wasn't busy. That was a simple job that he completed, however he wasn't great to deal with, resisting trimming branches away from the trunk because he didn't bring a ladder. What tree service doesn't bring a ladder?

While he was there he quoted us a price for putting a new lawn in our backyard. The yard is very shady and hadn't been maintained when the house was empty so there was a lot of bare dirt. After getting other quotes his price was about half of what other companies quoted. Again I should have learned from his attitude not he tree trimming job. He did not sufficiently prepare the soil. He didn't bring enough dirt to fill a depression from a garden bed that was in the yard from the previous owners, even though he was specifically told before the job that that was a priority. Basically he did a shoddy job on the cheap providing a terrible value despite the low price. In the most bare places grass sprouted but wouldn't take despite plenty of watering.

Finally when asked way grass that we planted in a different part of the yard with some leftover seed he left was doing well he became indignant and confrontational. He blew cigarette smoke in my wife's face and attempted to act in an intimidating manner. The height of unprofessional behavior. To top it off he the ran to his care and, literally, peeled out of our driving in his car. To anyone thinking of hiring this company because of a low quote stay away. No amount of money would make it worth dealing with the owner.

I called for a tree removal quote. We scheduled to have him come to my home the very NEXT DAY at 6:30pm. He never showed and never called.
