I can’t recommend Dan and Emily at CMC Plumbing, Heating & Cooling enough. We recently faced a heartbreaking situation when a feral cat we had TNR’d, Nutter Butter, escaped into our basement and tragically lost her life in our sump pump pit and drain pipes. Dan and Emily showed incredible compassion and professionalism. They promptly came to our aid, using a camera probe to locate Nutter Butter and retrieve her body, allowing us to give her the respect and rest she deserved. Their kindness and expertise during such a difficult time were truly remarkable. If you’re in need of plumbing, heating, or cooling services, look no further than CMC. They are amazing!

CMC is great - I have used them for years! Dan recently did a project for us. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and walked me through what he found, why it happened and how he would fix it. While there, he also noticed another issue and we could address it right away before it became a bigger problem. They have tackled repairs and installations of all kinds over the years and I’ve been happy with every employee I’ve met and their work. Absolutely love CMC and highly recommend!

Great company! Dan is very professional, incredibly knowledgeable and he/his staff is very responsive. They've done a bunch of work at our house and several of our family/friends homes and they're an A+ team! Highly recommend them.

I have had CMC plumbing out to my house twice for plumbing problems. They always arrived on time and acted professionally. They put on the shoe thingies to protect your floors without being asked. I do not think they are as big as some of the other outfits with a fleet of vans that all look the same and have super fancy paint jobs. Before finding CMC, I hired some of those said larger outfits and I usually got a younger guy who did not seem like he took a lot of pride in his work. That has not been my experience with CMC at all. Dan & his partner solved the issue that other plumbers were unsuccessful on and impressed upon me that he enjoyed the challenge and investigation while doing it. Pricing was more than fair. What’s more, they were very strait with me and took the time to talk me through what the issue was. When I suggested I could attempt a repair myself to save some money, they were more than happy to recommend what parts I should use for the job and just charged me for the time they spent finding the problem. That is not something you are going to get from a lot of other plumbers. I would recommend them to my friends and family and will continue to use them for my plumbing and HVAC needs.

We received a quote via email from sending lots of pictures of our old water heater, which made it super convenient for us to get a quote back from them! They came on time and worked super efficiently and even made our dog feel comfortable :) We'll use them again!

Had to have 2 separate plumbing issues addressed. CMC came out and had the jobs done quickly at a decent price. Very happy with their service, would recommend to anyone looking for a plumber in the metro Detroit area.

CMC has been my go-to HVAC and Plumbing business for 10 years. Dan is the best and most honest tradesman / technician I’ve come across in MI. My brother owns an HVAC business in TX and I’ve checked CMC’s work and pricing with him and he is incredibly fair and thorough. I recommend anyone to stop looking for another heating, cooling and plumbing company. You’ve found the right one. I recommend them to everyone. They are now who my business contracts for services at all our MI locations.

Dan and Josh have helped with several projects on a building own. They always do a great job. Many of the issues I've needed fixed were not easy and they always find a way to make it happen. They are honest and thorough on every project. I've called them over 7 or 8 times for different issues and always get a prompt response. Highly recommended!!

Another edit: CMC did an awesome job install a mini-split heat/ac system in my detached garage that we use for a shop. Everything has been working perfectly! They are always our go-to plumbing HVAC company!

Edit: We had CMC out to replace out toilet and bathroom fixtures. We had another excellent experience, as usual. Dan and his team are the best!

CMC an awesome company to work for! They installed a furnace, AC unit and hot water tank at my house. Dan and crew did a great job. Very polite, punctual and explained everything along the way. I couldn't be happier with how the installation went. Hire CMC! You won't be sorry you did. They are fantastic.

These guys are great with everything they do. I've used them for heating, cooling and plumbing for the last several years. They've replaced my air conditioner, lined my sewer line, and serviced my furnace. Most recently, my furnace died over the weekend, and they were here quickly, and fixed the problem, despite the fact that they were bombarded with calls due to the extreme cold in the area. All in all, they've been great whether it was a big job, small job, or emergency call (like this past weekend). They are honest and sincerely do their best to keep your repair costs down, while at the same time explaining what your options are on bigger jobs. Finally, I recommend that any homeowner sign up for their Service Partner Membership: for a reasonable sign up fee you receive free service calls (including after hours emergencies), as well as significant discounts on parts/labor for jobs. My membership has paid for itself 4 times over, and gives me the peace of mind that I won't pay an arm and leg if my heating, cooling, or plumbing need service, especially when it happens after hours. They make the worst part of owning a home (heating, plumbing and cooling maintenance) that much easier.

Update April 2025: I have not used CMC for many years now. In 2014, I moved to a house with baseboard heat and a boiler, so I had to find another company. This is not a knock on CMC, it’s just that the majority of HVAC companies do not work with boilers.

I’m using CMC since I bought my house in 2017 several times. They came today and the job was done perfectly and on time.

He was able to get to the bottom of our water heater issue effortlessly and took his time to explain the issue in full. Our shower was dripping and we decided to give CMC Plumbing a try. They quoted us a good price and were able to schedule service quickly. We are very happy with their service and will use them for any future projects.

Dan was very professional and informative from day 1. Gave an estimate to install a new Gas line outside and was very fair with the pricing.
Was extremely fast with setting an appointment day which was only a few days after accepting the estimate. He was on time, and did an excellent job with everything that needed to be done. He was very informative along the way, was able to get the city inspection in a timely manner also. Very well pleased with Dan and the Company for a job well done.

CMC is all around a fantastic company!! Very quick in response time! Friendly workers who do wonderful with an active pug! They were able to work around my crazy schedule and now I have hot water again! Highly recommend Dan and his group!!!

Fry did an excellent job explaining the scope of work prior to starting. He made sure that all of our flooring was protected prior to bringing in his equipment. He did a great job explaining what the issue was and what would need to be done to properly fix it.
