I got great service there. The lady who helped me was very nice. She was able to find (in stock) 2 shower faucets i needed. She gave me good options and was very friendly.

My family has been customers for decades. Recently had to replace the cartridge in a Grohe kitchen faucet, Eric could not have been more helpful and patient. This company is the absolute best!

Excellent store! I've bought parts for ancient 50s faucets, and I've bought a new high end vanity and mirror. Ask them any question about repairs and they have the answer.

Not only does Universal carry more inventory than most, but when I was running late the owner waited for me past their 5:00 closing time! Jim turned out to be the owner and he was awesome.

I don't remember who recommended Universal Plumbing supply to me, but I am forever grateful. They are knowledgeable and helpful beyond what is commonly found today and they've always had what I needed to fix my plumbing issues. Even with plumbing from the 40s and 60s. They are very nice and explain what's needed in a way I can easily understand. I always show up worried about whatever the plumbing problem was in my house, and I always leave feeling confident I have what it takes to fix it. They also have a lot of beautiful fixtures, sinks, tub's etc. If you're looking to redo a bathroom or repair your plumbing I recommend Universal Plumbing Supply.

Best plumbing supply in metro Detroit. I've been to around a dozen plumbing supply stores in metro Detroit and this is by far the best. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I brought in an adapter/diverter valve and they instantly knew that the brand (Elizabethan Classics) no longer existed. As it couldn't easily be replaced, they took it apart, replaced the gaskets and greased it and it honestly works better than it did when brand new. I will not go anywhere else for plumbing issues.

I had what seemed to be an impossible situation with our shower trim. Every plumbing supply store near my home pointed me to Universal Plumbing Supply for help (it says something when other businesses who could benefit from a sale recommend them!). I cannot explain what a blessing they have been! They have worked with me for weeks to make sure they could find escutcheons that worked for our trim and thus solved our problem. They were so patient and kind, and I was truly touched by their determination to make sure I was taken care of. Steve and Eric, you two are angels!

A plumber sent me here specifically to see if they could help me troubleshoot a broken stem on an outdoor hose bib. They took the time to piece together a custom piece because there wasn’t an exact replacement. Definitely worth the drive across town, only cost $8 and it saved me a lot of money in the end!

This place is awesome. First visit today and I didn’t get the guys name that helped us (long hair/beard), but he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Drilled out a part that we could no longer get and saved us a ton of time. Will recommend this place to everyone for plumbing supplies

The negative reviews caused me to initially go elsewhere for my plumbing needs. After those folks couldn't help me with my problem, I reluctantly went to check out Universal Supply Co. I am shocked by the negative reviews. I was helped by Dwight, who is very experienced and helpful with attacking a specific problem (leaking pipes, clogged drain trap), and put together exactly what I needed. I got a bunch of pipe, fittings and connectors for under $10. I wouldn't let the bad reviews sway you from this great store.

Great experience. Jim knew exactly what part I needed to replace when I showed him, price was reasonable and the knowledge of the staff was great. They carry American Standard replacement parts which I had struggled to find at other plumbing supply stores.

We came in last week to inquire about purchasing a new Roman Tub Faucet. After speaking with the owner, we ended up getting a few replacement parts and the faucet was fixed without the necessity and expense of a new unit. The gentleman was extremely knowledgeable and willing to share his experience in plumbing with us and I can't speak highly enough of this business. More than the "big box" stores who have product but very little actual experience in the field, Universal Plumbing is a fantastic business with wonderful staff who are willing to work with you to achieve your goals.

Family business with awesome service. I've been going there for 15 years, my wife's family has been using them for over 40 years. They will spend the time to help you find what you are looking for even if it's a $0.50 part. Better service than you will get at any big box store as the people know their stuff. Owner has stayed behind after hours to help us in the past.

I have an older Delta faucet and needed a part for it. Unfortunately Delta changed the fitting and my handle wouldn’t work with the new set up. After searching a few different options Eric said he wasn’t going to let me leave without a solution. In the end they took a part from a display and saved me money as well. Thanks to both Eric and Steve for saving Thanksgiving!

Probably the best plumbing supply of all plumbing supplies!! I have been coming here for over 20 years and they have always been VERY helpful. I can not speak highly enough about them. All of the guys are very knowledgeable. Larry Green has been very helpful on a number of occasions. This is not big box junk that they sell. High quality fixtures is what they have here and the prices are reasonable for what they sell.
