All reviews for Schlemmer Electric

I had an electrical emergency on a Saturday at midnight and Dan was at my house in 30 mins. He made sure things were okay until Monday when he could troubleshoot more, but at least I could rest easy through the weekend. He came right back on Monday and fixed the problem immediately. I can't thank him enough for his quick response and expertise. I will be calling him for all my future electrical needs.

Jesse and Danny are the absolute best! They are always prompt and professional and get the job done right. They've been out several times on separate issues: rewiring my detached garage, fixing an overloading kitchen circuit, and now replacing damaged and unsafe wiring. With each project I have felt well taken care of. I am confident in their work and feel so much safer in my home knowing the electrical has been done right. Thanks again!

Moved into a 51-year old house, went to update some of the switches and outlets, and got in over my head. Called around when I had two circuits that wouldn't come back up, nobody had any availability until I talked to Schlemmer Electricians. They squeezed me in by the end of that day and had everything taken care of within 90 minutes - one circuit was from a dimmer that was burned out, the other was from a mis-wired 3-way switch at the ceiling fixture (I swear, not my fault!). Total bill was $163, very reasonable considering time and materials spent, same-day service, and that half of our house had been without power for several days ;)

Will definitely use again.

2021 Edit: Schlemmer's endorsement of Trump in the 2020 campaign was unfortunate for doing business with them in the future. Their continued endorsement of Trump and Back The Blue after the election, the run-up to the insurrection attempt on Jan 6th, and even after the insurrection was put down is beyond the pale. I will leave up this 5 star review for the work they performed in 2018 but I will never employ them again.

Dan and Jakob are the BEST!
My electrical issue was a little scary and they were so responsive and attentive and got it all fixed in record time! They are friendly, informative, helpful, honest and tidy! I highly recommend Schlemmer Electric for all your electrical needs!
A++++ Service!

Shawn was able to schedule us on short notice to help with a wiring problem in our kitchen. He explained the work clearly and answered all of our (many) questions. The quality of the work was excellent, and he left the area clean! I highly recommend Schlemmer for any electrical needs and will use them again. Thank you!

I had my siding replaced and had to hire an electrician to replace my lights as well as get my exterior outlets up to the latest Bloomington codes. Jesse came out right away and was able to work during the month of January to handle the rough-in electrical inspection and install all the new fixtures, even replacing some ugly exterior bubble outlets with new slimmer encasements.

Thank you very much for your service! I highly recommend them to anyone seeking electrical work! They aim to meet the best quality standards and get the job done right!

Schlemmer Electricians just delivered one of the better customer experiences we've ever had.

We called Shawn from Schlemmer Electricians to try to address an imminent issue with our power shutting off at a series of critical outlets. We'd tried a few potential solutions ourselves and had no luck, so we were getting ready to pay at least $100 and wait a week for service from another provider.

Instead, Shawn patiently walked us through a series of troubleshooting steps. Within 10 minutes, the problem was fully resolved at no charge. His expertise was evident and he even gave us some steps to avoid similar issues in the future.

Without question, we will be using Schlemmer Electricians for all our future needs! Cannot recommend them enough.

Dan Schlemmer with Schlemmer Electric is fantastic! We are so fortunate to have his expertise. We found ourselves in an urgent situation with only half the power in our home working. He came out immediately and put us at ease and the situation was resolved! We are so relieved and thankful! We highly recommend Schlemmer and will be sharing their contact info with all our friends. They have been so reliable over the years, and we are always satisfied with their work, professionalism, service and promptness. Thank you Dan!

We haven't hired Schlemmer before, but we did go through a longer estimation process and I just wanted to say that these guys are so good. We had a number of bigger and smaller shops come out to do an estimate for a new service upgrade and bringing power to an external building, and Dan was one of the best we spoke to.

Super thoughtful, kind, and really willing to go above and beyond. We went with another shop, but it was super close.

Highly recommend them! and we will be calling them again when other projects come up.

Great Job!! Excellent work done fast. honest, the greatest!!
Jesse was doing the job, and made it happened fast and in very good condition.

Big Thank you!!!

Jesse and team at Schlemmer Bloomington Electric did an amazing job installing my EV charger and running new power to my garage near Bloomington, MN. He coordinated everything with Xcel Energy, explained my options clearly, and delivered high-quality work on time. Great communication, fair pricing, and a true pro for EV charger installs, panel upgrades, and electrical projects. Highly recommend!

Jesse and Brandon were fantastic. They came the same day I called to figure out why our lights were flickering and were able to fit us in the next day to replace the service panel. They worked quickly and explained everything thoroughly.

The electricians were on time and professional. They made recommendations to fix our window A/C problem. Within a couple business days they installed a new unit. The price was very reasonable and the installers were very pleasant and attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend their service!

I had an electrician change every outlet in my house. Dan Schlemmer checked my home outlets. Every outlet had to be replaced. First electrician put wrong wire in every outlet. Dan Schlemmer sent two full days at my home. The first electrician was a scammer. Schlemmer Electric saved my home from burning down. Highly, highly recommend Schlemmer Electric. Very very professional. Rate company a 10 rating.😊😊😊

After being cancelled on by another electrical service, we called Schlemmer and they showed up and fixed the issue all within an hour of the first call. Would definitely call them again in the future!

Professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I’m very happy with the services they provided and will call them moving forward.

They were very professional, effective, and honest. They also answered my call promptly, whereas I did not receive answers from other electricians that I called.

We had neighbors tree fell on our house in summer of 2024 and brought electric mast down and burned lot of cables and other appliances inside the house. I was panicked and didn't know whom to ask for help. I found Schlemmer electric while doing google research and read the reviews from most of the folks. Immediately, I called them and Jim and Dan quickly responded back and guided us through step by step process. There crew did phenomenal job and we were ready to move in within 10 days. They did multiple rounds of check to make sure the entire house was safe and there was no risk of fire. They had great reputation in the market and with multiple insurance companies. Our insurance adjuster had no questions on their invoice as they were able to provide all the pics and documentation needed. I would highly recommend them for any electrical work either big or small.

I've hired these guys a few times for odd jobs now and again and they are now my go to for electrical work. Prompt, reasonable pricing and solid work. Highly recommended!

Jim and Dan Schlemmer were great to work with. They picked up my call immediately and we're even able to stop out same day and resolve the issue quickly! I will definitely use them in the future.

Schlemmer Electric has now completed two different jobs for me and both times I had a wonderful experience. They clearly communicated with me throughout the process and the final product was perfect. I would recommend them to anyone and plan to call them the next time I have a project! Thanks again, Jesse!
