Very good service and most always have the parts I need or get them in a hurry !

They will take care of all your equipment and parts needs as a professional contractor and you can shoot the counter help with a nerf gun!

They are able to get all AC parts in a timely manner. You have to have a business account with them to purchase anything with them

Customer service is excellent and very helpful! Keep in mind, you must be a licensed contractor to purchase from them but if you are I highly suggest getting parts through this company.

I went into Johnstone Supply today for some advice and small parts. Scott helped me. I couldn't have asked for better help. Scott knew every answer to every question I had. I would absolutely recommend people go here. Thank you, Scott and Johnstone Supply.

Not really willing to help, Arrogant guys behind the counter make you feel like you’re stupid for asking a question he knows who he is big heavyset guy with the beard behind the counter acting like he’s something special customer service port nonexistent. I actually have no issue driving across town to the one in Minneapolis, where I’m always treated great. It was like an inconvenience for even walking in last week spent $2000 at the other one, but this guy can’t find my account

well. I call to ask about specs on particular products you carry but you put a wall up. I dont want price, i don't need any extra info, im not buying. I'm just trying to learn about specs but you gate keep that information. FOR WHAT?
i can google it and AI that info but i would have preferred to hear it from a distributor so I know what they have. Then when my contractor goes in, I AM INFORMED. they would rather keep the info private to create a knowledge gap with the consumer. This is disgusting.

Poor customer service at this location. (Bloomington)
The Johnstone Supply in Golden Valley is way more helpful and more friendly.

Won't sell to the general public, must be a contractor. Would have been nice to know this when I call to locate the part. Drove a half an hour to get here to find out they won't sell to me! Thanks for that!!

No Stars. They will not sell to the general public. STUPID! This would have been nice to know before traveling across town in rush hour. I had a simple pressure switch for my heater that needed replacing. Nope, they wouldn't sell it to me. I had a baby at home with a broken furnace and the temp was in the single digits and they couldn't help.

I'm a licensed contractor. With state of mn DLI registration. Just don't have account with them. I have purchased many times with out registration as will call. Today guy wouldn't sell to me. I left here and went to another johnstone supply, and they did will call for me.

My only basis for this, I experienced racism this am. I realize this is a heavy accusation, and I don't post this lightly.
I've lived in MN for years and can genuinely say, I've never had this happen.
    Appalling.

Went to warranty a navien unit and they told me I needed to pay 100 percent and navien told them that's not the case . Johnstone would not warranty. Called navien and they shipped new no charge. Johnstone learn how to do rga's how they're supposed to be done. No help at all. Also was told I need to speak to a warranty guy ???

The shipping dept. will stab you in the back. I am an indepentent courier, and I have been in good terms with this franchise, until now. I was loading cargo with a warehouse worker till we dropped a piece of equipment. He inspected it for damage, and then loaded into my van, assuming no damage had been done and things were all is well.
Couple days later, I got a call from my Parent Company saying they filed a complaint against me for damaging the goods, fine whatever, but also for "never helping load stuff into the vehicle".
This is what drove me here. To the fact that I actually helped and loaded stuff in the vehicle, and to the fact if there was a problem with me or something, the staff could address it to me, and maybe I can improve the situation, BUT nobody said anything.
They said they don't want me to come back. Fine. I apologized to them for my errors and if there was any wrongdoing. But I'm upset that they went straight to my company rather than talking to me first. We are humans; we make mistakes. We are adults; we can talk to each other.
For some, its upsetting, but as for me, an autistic person, it hurts. I would be happy to not come back after knowing that these people don't respect you for what you do and are.

I hate having to do this, but the man I spoke with today was incredibly rude and hung up on me. I just asked if the general public was able to purchase a part and he said “look, we’re busy and don’t have time to deal with this or the general public.” And he was quite rude about it. Wanted to make sure management knows about it. Spoke with him around noon on 10/30/25. He could really use a reminder about how to talk to customers in a professional and respectful way.
