Fake location

Was going to use this business, but the tech arrived and told me that he was independently contracted and that the company quoted me wrong (they said $199 and 10 vents included and $10 a vent after that). His price was 4x what the company said.

The technician did not put things back after he moved them. He also unplugged a fridge and did not plug it back in. If I hadn’t seen that, a lot of food could have spoiled. Also, the vent covers were not installed back on correctly and now I cannot open them. This was an expensive service that was not worth the money. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

UPDATE: these photos show the “location” of this so-called business. No storefront. This business is not a legitimate operation. Their “technician” brought a shop vac to clean our ducts. NO brushes, no cleaning solutions, although we were told by the technician that he needed to go to the warehouse and pick some up. A 6 foot hose on a shop vac will not clean 40 foot duct work.
We immediately called their office after the technician left her home. We inspected his work and found ducts full of dust, carpet fibers, and other white fine dust. The office person said they would have the technician call us to discuss his work. No calls! Called the next three days to try to speak to a manager, operator said a supervisor would call back. Again, no calls.

To lead off, I attempted to have Gold Duct do the duct cleaning in my house, but no work was actually performed.

Instead, I called to schedule an appointment (at least 2 weeks in advance) to coincide with other work occurring in our house the next day. All good. The appointment was for two hours where we were going to receive a quote and then do the cleaning.

However, on the day of the appointment, they were scheduled to arrive in a two hour window of 9 am - 11 am, however the two hour window was to allow for the actual cleaning work to take place. By 9:45 am, no one had arrived. I called and was informed that the technician would be there shortly. No one showed.

After the time window had passed, I called again and was informed that they could do the work in the afternoon starting at 3 pm with a 15% discount to account for the poor service I had already received. At 1:30 pm, I received a call that their technician was no longer going to be able to do the work and provided no further explanation as to why.

I chose Gold Duct because of their good Google reviews... not a single review less than 5 stars. I guess it was too good to be true.
