So happy with the amount of buckthorn removed from our property! Definitely went above and beyond expectations. They even talked with the neighbors to make sure they weren't removing anything that would upset them in our removal process. Thank you!

Very good work. Employees willing to stay late, worked hard, and they did a good job of replacing our "jungle" in very short time. Cleaned up every piece of debris before they finished. Very willing to work with us on our unique circumstances.

I love the look of my border and patio which was sealed. The work was done promptly, perfect clean up and they did an extra job that I had realized needed to be done after they arrived. A top notch company to work with. Couldn't be happier.

I couldn't be happier with my landscaping! Honestly just blew my mind how professional everything was done and on top of that how everything was cleaned up so neat and tidy! I wasn't a fan of a consulting fee, but wow, worth every penny! I'm just a regular working man and these guys are the best in my mind! Now my neighbors need to catch up to me!

I was very happy with the work done on our yard. They worked hard under not so great weather and soil conditions, made great suggestions on work needing to be done on problem areas. They left the area neat and cleaned up every day. I would highly recommend this company.

Palumbo = professional and fair. We had appx 180 feet x 8 ft of buckthorn and boxelder/scrub trees that had become an eyesore along a fence. Because it was in the overhead lines, I decided I needed a professional. I contacted Joe for a quote and received immediate response and guidance. His pricing was fair, he was able to get his crew onsight quickly (about 9 days after I accepted the quote), he kept me informed at all stages of the process (this is huge for me), and the results are excellent and as promised. I will definitly be using Palumbo's Landscaping again.

From the initial meeting to the final product, Palumbo Landscaping & Services, Inc. did a TERRIFIC job! Late this summer we had a staircase built in the backyard going down to the lake. We are just so happy with the end result. The staircase makes our hillside user friendly and it is beautiful too!!

Next summer I am looking forward to Palumbo Landscaping performing the work on our "Phase 2"... outcropping the hillside. I can't wait!

My husband and I are very pleased with the professionalizm and efficencey of Joe and his crew. There were a lot of decisions to be made and with there knowledge and information they gave us throughout the whole process it gave us the confidence that we were having the right team of people working on our landscaping. Our new space is our favorite space! We just wish we would have done it years ago!!

After contacting Joe, he promptly replied that due to his schedule, he would not be able to get to my landscaping project. However, BEFORE his reply, he reached out to a fellow landscaper to see if this would be something he could do, with his contact information. (John Capetz, with John's ProCare, which I was able to schedule). If I could give 10 stars to Joe for going above and beyond customer service, I would, and he never saw or stepped foot in my yard!

Joe, Thank you to you and your wonderful crew for doing such an excellent job in my parent's "backyard jungle". We gave you work around the entire perimeter of the house and kept adding more brush clearing, more rock moving, and more plantings and the guys kept smiling every day...It was the landscaping project that seemed like it would never end, but all of you were so accommodating and always hard working, polite and professional. Joe and his crew recently completed removing debris (plus TONS of huge rocks) from our 140 feet of shoreline, re-graded it, added new steps, placed weed block down, and put down approximately 7 tons of rip-rap and dark colored bark above the rock.

His entire crew was so respectful, professional, timely, and above all else, left the yard in great shape, re-seeding where bobcats did slight damage. I have never seen such a group of guys work so hard for hours on end with very few breaks. They were typically here from 8:30 or 9:00 AM, working until almost 7:00 PM on some days, even while it rained all day.

I would definitely recommend them for any work you need done, especially lakeshore work. A huge A+++++ from us. Thanks Joe and crew!

Despite the challenge to work with me and my very time consuming work schedule, Joe and his crew were able to get the job done and then some. I'm so happy with the improved appearance of my back yard and the eradication of the buckthorn. Messages were always returned promptly, and they didn't quit until the job was completed to my satisfaction.

My wife and I purchased a 1980's built home just over a year ago. While the house was somewhat updated, the landscaping was not. The 1 acre yard consisted of large, overgrown, and mostly unhealthy trees and plants. The “design” and “style” hadn’t been updated in decades. I was fully aware we’d need to find and hire a landscaping company to give the property an overhaul.

After I started to research landscaping companies around the Twin Cities, it became increasingly difficult to for me to differentiate them from one another. They all seemed good enough, so I started to make some calls. By chance, Palumbo Landscaping was the first company I called, but I also called four other companies for comparison sake. I had nothing to benchmark any of these companies against each other. 2 of the 5 companies never returned my call or request for information. The other 3, including Palumbo Landscaping, were vetted against each other.

Spoiler alert: I chose to work with Palumbo Landscaping for several reasons:

1) Joe possesses a unique ability to listen, discern, and make customized recommendations. The other companies just wanted me to “tell them the work I wanted done” in our yard. I stated I wanted an updated, modernized landscape, but they wanted specifics, which I didn’t have the firsthand examples to provide. My inability to provide specifics didn’t frustrate Joe. In fact, it was quite the opposite. He asked insightful, relevant questions to help me discover what I wanted. His ability to communicate gave me a high degree of confidence.
2) Palumbo Landscaping’s fee structure is transparent. The proposal Joe provided was incredibly detailed. The other companies were non-committal on price and none of them provided a proposal as detailed.
3) Most importantly, I chose to work with Palumbo Landscaping because of their reputation. I was comforted by the volume of positive reviews I read online. I couldn’t find another landscaping company with such a consistently positive and longstanding record.

Needless to say I made the right decision. I was floored by how professional Joe, Ron, and his entire crew were throughout. To say they’re perfectionists is an understatement. These guys don’t cut corners. None of them. EVER. They always gave 110% no matter the task at hand. They were at my house when I left for work each morning. Often, they were at my house hours after I had returned home from work in the evening. I had several neighbors and family members offer up their own feedback to me. All of them said they’d never seen anything like it. In short, Palumbo’s dedication, work ethic, professionalism, and workmanship is simply unmatched in their field. We are so pleased and blown away by the final product! I’m eager to work with Palumbo Landscaping on our next project! I’ll confidently recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

We were having a problem with our Mississippi river shoreline in that erosion was undercutting and washing away our property. Joe surveyed the situation and decided that existing roots would have to be cut out, two yards of fill dirt would have to be brought in and tamped down, fabric put down and twenty tons of rock would be installed. In doing the job they decided that an additional eight yards of fill dirt and five extra tons of rock would be needed to do the job right. Because of the high bank all of the dirt had to be taken down thirty steps to the shoreline in five gallon pails. I have had experience in working with contractors in the past where the job was more complicated than first thought and the price has always gone up because of it. This was not the case with Joe, the price stayed as it was quoted. Joe and his crew were excellent to work with all the way through the project from the beginning until the cleanup process was finished.

The Landscape Guys rebuilt a retaining wall around my front entry. Everything went perfectly from beginning to end. My initial inquiry was responded to promptly as well every other communication. The crew members (Ron, Brody and Mike) were personable, professional and incredibly industrious working for several hours on the project. Ron was a master at cutting stone to cap the wall perfectly. Every detail was attended to beyond my expectations!

We were delighted with the high quality landscaping and pleasantly surprised at the speed in which the Guys worked on our new homestead. The crew was highly professional and extraordinarily easy to interact with from the grand scope to smaller details. We were beyond satisfied with the results! We highly recommend the Landscape Guys and will be utilizing their craft again in the near future.
