Higgins came recommended, and the team was wonderful. They were thorough in their explanations/proccesses and communicative with their changes. We will use (and may already be in the process of using) them again for any other projects.

HIggins updated a bedroom and completely re-did (gutted down to the cement block) the laundry and work room. They were easy to communicate with and flexible to our changing needs (and decisions). We also had them update our electrical service and replace the fuse box which required the lines be rerouted coming into the house! They cleaned up the work area daily and went the extra mile to make sure things were just right. Would definitely use them again. I recommended them to a good friend, Brianna Hernandez and she also left a very positive review.

The people at this home are very warm and friendly. I lost my cat the other day and they were quick to offer me some cookies and milk and even offered to go look with me. Unfortunately I never found Mrs. Mittens :( I am still thankful to this day for their uplifting words of encouragement and warm spirits.

We needed to replace our garage service door. Mike was very responsive with a fair estimate. The quality of the new door and workmanship was very good and we are pleased with the results.

Everything was really wonderful. We absolutely love how the remodel of our kitchen turned out.

I have an interior design background and had very high expectations in what the space would look like. Mike and Andy (really the whole team) worked with me to get the design to completion and definitely met those expectations.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail that the crew provided was great. Some big elements they helped with include: created a new path of travel to our bedrooms, opened the wall from living/dining room, added three arches (matching the existing plaster walls so well you wouldn’t know that they weren’t original to the house), added an amazing drywall range hood structure, and they replaced portions of the floor to seamlessly align with existing hardwoods.

I was so impressed with the crew in how they maintained a professional and tidy space. This was especially important since we had to work from home while construction was happening. The team kept the rest of our house almost completely dust free, which made the process much more manageable.

From the first conversation we had with Mike, to the follow up and conversations with Andy, Higgins Construction didn’t miss a beat. We would definitely work with them again in the future.

Working with Higgins Construction was a great experience for our family. If questions or concerns arose throughout the project we were able to discuss those things and come to a remedy to correct the question or concern. The crew of people that they have working for them and the subcontractors they brought in were all professional and courteous. They are very fair on their pricing and when they discovered some things that would help with insulation on our home or structural issues in our soffits - they immediately had a clear explanation for their suggestion and price for that to be fixed. Our project consisted of the following: Roof, chimney rebuilt from roofline up, new garage door, siding, shutters, cupola, soffits/facia/gutters, cedar posts on porch, lighting in soffits above the garage door.

Higgins completed a bathroom remodel, floor tile in 2nd bath, and replaced counters and backsplash in our kitchen. We're thrilled with the work completed. Andy is wonderful to work with.

We did a mudroom/laundry room addition and new siding (along with a few other things) with Higgins Construction. The work was well done, timely, and communication was good also. I have no complaints and we have referred Higgins to several friends.

I've had the Higgins team work on my house twice. They are hard working, personable and work with the client for a successful completion. The last remodel was a difficult insurance situation and they worked to get the best outcome. I appreciate all they did.

We hired Higgins for a small project that was also very finicky. We needed ceiling work, master carpentry, hardwood matching, stain match, custom wood wainscot profile. The gamut, all in a project that many contractors would have turned away or given short shrift. Not Higgins. Their employees are proud of their work, and rightly so. Could not be more pleased with the outcome.

We couldn’t be happier with our remodel and addition!

Our dream was to downsize to a small house in Hopkins avenues area with lots of light, a master suite and laundry on the main floor, room for the baby grand and a screen porch. We knew we would have to do some work to make that happen but this was totally new for us!

We found the perfect lot with enough room to add on and worked with an architect to reconfigure the existing space as well as enlarge the living room, add the master suite and laundry and most importantly, the screen porch.

Fortunately, we did not have to live in the house while all this took place. We chose Higgins because we knew they had done a lot of work in Hopkins. Mike and his crew took the plans and did some tweaking to make them even better. They were easy to communicate with, listened to our questions and requests and suggested improvements. We just love our house!
The quirky things we liked are still there but it all works beautifully with the new addition. This home is the first that we have personalized just for us and we could not have done it without Mike and his crew!

Higgins Construction did a major addition onto our home. The experience was amazing. The team worked with us the entire way and led us through layout, finish selection, and phasing. They were very fair on all change order and did not overcharge for the change. The finish work was amazing as well and they have true craftsmen working for them. Pricing was fair.

Higgins renovated our kitchen and bath and added a bath and closet to the home. Impressed with their knowledge and creativity with our older home (1948), carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades. The finisher was detailed and careful and made sure every edge and item was finished properly to give it that super professional look. Great bunch of workers. We trusted them totally in the home.

We hired Higgins Construction for a home addition and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Their team delivered excellent craftsmanship and was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Communication was prompt, clear, and respectful throughout the project. The finished space is both beautiful and well built. Every member of the crew was professional and kind; I always felt comfortable having them in my home, even while caring for a newborn. We would wholeheartedly recommend Higgins Construction to anyone looking for quality work and a trustworthy team.

Avoid! Met to discuss a project, random materials were dropped off without notice and left on our newly sodded yard while we were out of town. Materials that we had not decided on. In good faith/confusion a partial payment was made to begin discussing plan, no signed documents. Had an emergency happen and needed to postpone home projects, requested payment be returned and we would plan for a later date. Yet after months of attempted requests, he kept $1000. Avoid!!!
