real nice and simple operation. drive up to the scale on the left, talk to the guy, he tells you where to go, you unload your stuff, and you go back to the other side of the same scale to leave and you pay and then you go.

Brian E was very professional and gave instructions in a clear way that made the process very easy for someone removing junk for the first time.

This place gets a bunch of bad reviews I don't know . It's super easy to get in, get out never had a problem there!

I showed up at the proverbial 11th hour and they couldn't have been more accomadating.

I've been to all of them and this one's the best. The guy at the booth grows on you after a while.

Easy in and easy out. They take nearly all garage and waste from landscaping to construction. And nearly everything in between. And they are cheaper than waste management co. The guys working the scales are fast and friendly.

Easy experience emptying our trailer of household garbage. Pricing was fair, and the 3 employees we interacted with today were great.

Demoed my galley kitchen and needed to drop it off the cabinets and sink.

1. Drive up to the scale with the little house and if you are lucky and friendly young man, named Brian, will be there to help you. If you are in a Sedan like me, you’ll have to look up quiet a bit, because this place is mostly for trucks including those that offload all the junk they collect from people’s houses.

2. Brian gives you direction to back up into a certain garage.

3. Offload your stuff. Bring gloves and a helper, if you can’t lift your things alone. Be careful when driving around. You’ll be a small car in between all the trucks.

4. Get back on the second scale on the other side of the reception.

5. Pay and leave.

6. Get a beer at Surley.

Easy to use, but busy. Bring Hi-vis. Tell the scale attendant it's your first time, so he'll give you some guidance. He's not there to make friends or get your business. He's doing a lot at once, so be polite and expect him to be brief.

First time going here to dump off some wood baseboards and other wood materials, got in and out with no issues. The guy at the scale was nice, gave me instructions on where to dump it. Would come back here again!

It seems hysterical to write a review on a transfer station, but just in case...
It's called a transfer station because they transfer construction debris and other similar stuff from your trailer, dumpster, truck bed or whatever to a semi trailer that hauls it to the landfill, recycling place, incinerator or wherever it goes
You need to bring your hi-vis best, gloves, hard hat and wear real shoes. Oh, and a strong stomach, because sometimes the smell can be pretty bad.
Take your yard waste to the composting site.
Expect to unload your own stuff. Nobody is there to help you.
Watch out for big trucks. This is their job, not dealing with unpredictable amateurs like you and me.
Be patient.

I live in South Minneapolis and needed to get rid of some lawn waste bags outside the season when the city will collect them. This place is closer to me than driving out to Burnsville.

Couldn’t find this info elsewhere so maybe it’s helpful here:
Pull into the yard and immediately go left. There’s a trailer next to some scales. Someone may be parked in front of the sign that identifies this as the place to go. Pull up along the right side of the trailer, on the scale, next to/below the window. Someone will help you and take payment.

My truck bed full of 10 lawn bags was about 34 dollars. That could change but it’s definitely not worth it for just a few bags. Save up and get whatever you can as the rate is per cubic yard (estimated) and a fixed dump fee.

Not a good option for household waste. High minimum fee and debris all over the floor of the tipping area you have to back into make this a bad option for household disposal. Backing into the poorly lit tipping area, I ran over a clear bottle I couldn’t see with my backup camera. Their big CAT had just been there moving refuse, they clearly don’t care what they leave in your path. It’s just luck that my trip didn’t cost me a couple tires.

*Minimum charge* for construction and demolition debris is $105.27 as of May 2023. Also their website says they close at noon on Saturdays, but I showed up at 11:35 AM and they told me they close at 11:30 AM. To top it off, there are zero customer instructions onsite, so good luck your first time visiting.

First time going there today and there were no signs up saying where to go so it was a little confusing. Weigh station guy thinks he’s way more superior than anyone else and makes unnecessary comments. The place itself was nice and I had no issues once I was done with the weigh station guy.
