Phenomenal company. Exceptional work. Best Commercial HVAC in Minnesota. They are pro’s

They are by far my favorite contractors! We have never had a problem in their scope of work that they couldn't fix or find multiple solutions we can choose from.
They communicate well and their work is done in a timely manner. They have literally preformed miracles to get us up and running so production doesn't stop! -
I had an outstanding experience with Horwitz Mechanical. They installed four rooftop units for us, totaling about $65,000, and the precision and efficiency were remarkable. The entire team worked together seamlessly, like a well-coordinated football team, getting the job done quickly and accurately. Special thanks to Carter Hangsleben, the project manager, whose leadership was instrumental in making everything run smoothly. I highly recommend them and believe Carter deserves a raise for his exceptional management!

Their drivers a so rude and cut people off in traffic. Was just driving down 42nd and this occurred. Unbelievable, employee are a representative of the company, not impressed.

I would recommend looking for other resources. Our experience with Horwitz was disappointing, as the company did not operate in a professional or reliable manner. We had a preventative maintenance contract with them for a couple of years, but appointments were frequently missed without any communication; only addressed when I followed up.
The people were always friendly, but beyond changing filters, I’m not confident they performed any meaningful maintenance. Recently, we had the manufacturer of our DOAS unit inspect it, and they found multiple issues that Horwitz technicians had failed to identify, always saying everything looked good. $5,500 in repairs later from the manufacturers technician, I'd say our systems was not being properly maintained. -
Very unfriendly staff
-
charged over 6k for simple zone valve fix. Incompetent and charges you for times they waste.
-
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!!! CHARGED ME FOR ME FOR SEVERAL HOURS WHEN THEY WERE IN AN OUT IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES.
NOT HONEST AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. -
Do not under any circumstances trust this company.
-
Horrible customer service. Requested help for weeks and the main lady who answers the phone was very rude ech time we called, to myself and the young man who works for me. I don't believe she ever passed our project on to any of the managers like she stated. We needed a make up air system installed for our kitchen. Had to eventually reachout to someone else. I wish we would've had the opportunity to speak to someone else about our project, but she would never let us. Terrible woman.

My opinion after only one experience with NSI is that they are crooks. Our building association (FirstService) recommended them to service the A/C in our condo. NSI gave us an estimate of $600-$1,000 to repair the problem. We called a different company to come give us an estimate...they replaced a $50 thermostat and everything has been working perfectly (total charges with trip, diagnosis, part, etc was $200).
I understand diagnosis is never easy and expect a range, but 3-5X higher than the actual problem is unacceptable.
Avoid NSI!!! -
Driver #1726 @2:15pm Nov 18th Prior lake. Pulled out onto Hwy 13 southbound with only 30ft to spare of in-coming traffic, causing myself and several other drivers to slam on their brakes...
The driver then proceeded to swerve in and out of his lane for a mile or two, at one point the driver was on the middle line between two lanes and almost hit me! I had to honk at the driver to pick a lane instead of being between two....
If this is the kind of professionalism this company represents in their workers....I'm sure it's a very heavy reflection on their service.
I'm cutting all use of Horwitz for the company I own.
The driver almost caused an accident TWICE!! in two miles!
This was ridiculous! -
If your heat goes out in February, they'll schedule you for a 7-8am window the next day, and not show up or call you to let you know. However, they will reschedule for a later window, though, where they can go into overtime (starts at 3pm) and charge you more. Quite the business model

Absolutely do not use Horwitz for anything.
One of the few companies that work on Condo HVAC, the service member was "on the roof" for 2 hours after turning the breaker on and off, and it started "working". Within 10 days it once again was not working, and they would not come out to fix again unless they charged another fee. $350 later, and my AC is still not fixed, and back to square one. Do not leverage for anything. -
I was driving on 35W and there was a Horowitz driver I noticed that he was on his cell phone. I followed him for about 2 mi and he went and passed me right in front of me and I went over into the other lane. After 2 mi he was still sitting there on his phone scrolling. Perhaps that's why you're getting bad reviews from people if people are on their cell phones are just in a hurry because they have no patience.
