I hired Davey Tree to trim three large trees and they installed two cables on two trees close to our house. I had them treat our Ash tree. They did great work, reasonably priced and excellent communication.

I work in the commercial/industrial construction industry, and have come across quite a few tree removal companies in my career. The Davey Tree Expert Company is by far the BEST tree company I have encountered. Absolutely turn-key quality services! I will be calling The Davey Tree Expert Company for all future tree services.

This company was the very best company I have worked with in years. Very knowledgeable and thorough consultation with Courtny. She went above and beyond explaining everything and budgeting everything for us in easy and affordable steps. The crew also went way over my expectations & Courny came also. They did all the work that we expected, and they cleaned up the areas as though they had never been there. Amazing service! You should be very proud of the staff you have!

We have been working with James Ostlie at Davey Tree for almost a year now - we had him out for an initial visit for a fairly large project. What we initially thought we could plant ended up not being the case due to a very wet area in our yard. James worked hard to find us trees that would give us year round privacy, but survive in our tricky soil. He was very responsive, kind and worked hard for us with multiple trips out to our property, and tons of communication/education along the way. Our 10 trees are in and we couldn’t be happier. We’d absolutely recommend James & Davey Tree.

Casey did a wonderful job explaining the types of trees on our new property as well as educating us on invasive species. Very pleased with the tree trimming service. Trees trimmed as explained and yard cleanup was thorough. Had 5 oaks treated to protect against oak wilt and a few small trees removed that were growing near a building. Will definitely call upon them again. Very happy with the services provided.

I had 4 large trees and 1 small one pruned. Price estimate was very detailed and competitive with the other 2 quotes I got. They were able to come out the day after I decided to go with them. They climbed with ropes and didn’t need any big equipment, other than the chipper. They also quoted lawn weed treatment/fertilizer services, which I will have done this spring/summer.

The crew were detailed and responsive to all my questions during the pre extraction of my two oak trees. They cleaned up and made sure that my neighbor was aware of the machinery that needed to come between our homes - plywood was carefully positioned.
Would recommend and would absolutely use them again.

Dean from Davey Tree called me last week to ask if we had any needs for tree removal etc. He said he'd take a look and he promptly did in the freezing cold. He's professional and friendly. We had great service from Davey yesterday! The team was efficient, safe and timely. They also did a great job cleaning everything before they left - you didn’t even know they were there! We even had the manager (James) drop by for a bit, which was awesome!

We have two Ash trees, a river birch, and a large blue spruce that was dying. The Arborist from Davey reviewed my issues during the time he was estimating the job. He provided me with the right answers to each of my questions, and one where he recommended to "do nothing yet" which I appreciated. All of the crews that came out to do different tasks were very cordial and professional and made sure to talk with me prior to completion. I previously had poor experiences with another arborist (remains nameless for now) and was comforted that Davey would stand behind their work and also provided me a very competitive quote. Would highly recommend them again.

Davey personnel were knowledgeable, capable, and respectful of our time and our trees. Tyler came out and evaluated our trees, gave us great information, and provided honest feedback as to what was needed for our trees. Reasonable prices and quick work. The rep/arborist came out and evaluated three trees that had some winter strom damage, and discussed our options to repair/remove the trees. Since the trees had been having issues for years, we decided to remove the trees. WIthin an hour, we had a proposal to remove the trees. I waited to get a bid from another tree service, and found Davey to be quite competitively priced. I approved the proposal, and with a few days the crew came out and did the work. The crew was very careful of our property and cleaned up all the wood chips and branches when they were done. I would highly recommend Davey Tree Service.

Davey's took down a difficult tree in my neighbor's back yard and I was impressed with their work. When an ash tree in my front yard needed trimming, I called them to do the job. From the first contact for the estimate, to the cleanup, they were professional and did a fine job and what I knew to be a reasonable price.

From the time I met with Thomas Johnson to secure an estimate for the removal of two trees, I was very pleased at the professional and thoroughness of the work. I was surprised at how well the crew cleaned up after the removal and with no damage to the lawn in my back yard. Highly recommended the folks at Davey on Fernbrook in Plymouth.

I had sort of an emergency tree removal situation because I needed my main sewer line replaced and the tree next to it had to be removed first. Davey was the only company that would do it on the short timeline needed. Several other companies various sizes said they don't have emergency appointments (I kind of think they just didn't understand that my situation was a legit emergency). Davey was great to work with. The price seemed fair. My arborist was very good at communicating on scheduling etc.

Thomas Johnson went way above and beyond for me in an unfortunate situation that needed to be addressed immediately. Thomas was able to fit me in the SAME DAY, was an EXCELLENT communicator and got the job done (tree debris removed and dealing with stumps). He even offered me guidance on how to deal with an issue that was caused by another contractor (not Davey Tree) that destroyed our turf and sent me photos of the damage since I had not yet been able to assess it myself. I couldn't be happier with the way the situation was handled and how I was treated. Amazing job!!!

Can't say enough good things about Davey Tree. They were very quick to respond to our emergency, and they made a huge job seem easy. Davey did an AMAZING job removing the dead trees from my yard and trimming my massive maple tree. I didn't realize how raggedy the tree was until all of the pruning was done. Now it looks so much better and healthier! All of the limbs over my driveway and the dead branches stuck in the canopy and gone and my backyard has so much more light. They also did a great job of cleaning up. There wasn't any debris left behind and they even picked up some of the leaves in my yard!

Casey was the arborist I worked with. He did a great job of explaining what he thought needed to be done and providing a fairly priced quote for the work. I especially appreciated the itemized quote and that he let me drop some of the services I didn't need (like stump grinding).

My only complaint would be with the scheduling. I was able to get an appointment with the arborist quickly, but scheduling a time for the crew to come was disjointed. I'd emailed casey about the times and days that work best for me but I didn't hear anything back for about a week. Then one day when I got a home, the crew was already there and cleaning up! I had wanted to prep a little bit for their arrival, like cleaning up my backyard to give them better access. But obviously I couldn't do that since the time they were going to come was never communicated.

Overall I am very happy. I would recommend using Davey and I will definitely call them for any future needs.

I’ve worked in the landscaping industry and have a very high standard for the quality and professionalism I look for in any company I hire to perform services for me. The team at Davey exceeded my expectations in every way. The tree I had removed was a huge poplar, leaning over my neighbor’s house at a dangerous angle. I was able to watch the crew from beginning to end, and it was an impressive show. The folks climbing the tree, rigging it with blocks & pulleys, were in constant communication with the crew on the ground who controlled the fall of every limb and section of the tree. It was like watching a well choreographed dance. They took care to use plywood to cover the path they took with their equipment on my yard. They cleaned up everything and left the yard in fantastic condition. As it happens, they came on garbage day, and they had a number of trucks lined up in front of my house, which would have made it difficult for the garbage truck to see to pick up my garbage cans. Knowing this, they moved my cans to a position which was easy for the garbage company to see and access. After the garbage company came by, the Davey crew even moved my cans up my driveway next to my garage for me… something I certainly wasn’t expecting, but was very pleasantly surprised and appreciated. They really went above and beyond in every way. I guarantee that Davey tree has me as a customer for life.
