Great work on my property. Love my new landscaped patio area.

I needed to fix about 2000 square feet of yard out to roadway on both sides of new driveway, Richtsmeier gave me an estimate for what he could do with fill, top soil and sod, then showed up when he said he would and made the yard look beautiful. Several neighbors have been commenting on how nice the property looks...thanks to Richtsmeier Landsacaping!

I just had a retaining wall put in, drain tile along edge of property, a bunch of ashthorn brush removed and two trees put in. Tom and his team did a great job. Very detail oriented and does provide some advice if requested. He took precautions not to damage my grass by putting down planks where he used his miniature bobcat thing. I would highly recommend his work.. I will post pictures once the job is complete and the grass greens up a little...

Pertaining to some posters that post what a terrible employer he is.. .i have this to offer: This is his BUSINESS.. He cares that the job is done correctly. He had two helpers that were just learning... What i saw was a guy that cared that 1.) they were doing the job correctly, and 2.) that they were taking breaks as needed (they were working hard). Its landscaping people... The guy is going to yell at you are *&%ing off. The crew he had were trying hard and did great work, and i saw Tom correct them when they were doing things wrong. YOU WANT THIS... This is a trade that you can learn and you don't end up having to hire it out like i have to do. If you don't want to get yelled at, go work at the flower store for minimum wage.

We have the best yard in the neighborhood thanks to Tom and his crew! They did a professional and top notch job. From the design/sketch Tom put together to the timely completion of the project, we couldn't be more pleased! Go with Richtsmeier Landscaping!

Tom did a fabulous job on a boulder retaining wall in our back yard. He’s extremely knowledgeable and also gave us some great advice about what to plant and how to better care for our trees and plants. I highly recommend this company if you need a landscaping project completed.

Tom cleared my backyard of poison ivy, overgrowth, and miscellaneous junk. He then brought in dirt, leveled it, and put down grass seed. Now the back of my yard can be mowed along with the rest, and I now have a relaxing view of the railroad tracks, which is exactly what I had wanted. Plus, Tom provided great info to assist me with obtaining hoses, sprinklers, etc. Awesome job Tom! Thanks so much!

We recently had the pleasure of working with Tom for a significant project that included installing a paver patio and landscaping around our house, and we couldn't be happier with the results.

Tom has done two projects for us - one last year and another this year. Both were fairly significant projects such as flagstones with landscape rock, edging, drain tiles, new plantings, lots of mulch applied, and division/replanting of existing grasses. He both estimated and completed the work in a timely manner and was really helpful suggesting good ideas that would work well for us - he created a good working partnership with his customers. We felt his prices were fair and reasonable. He left our job site clean and picked up. We enjoyed having him here!

Tom complete reinvigorated our patio and steps into a basically brand new patio. He raised the pavers and fixed the steps and it is now safe again. Tom offers great solutions and stays in communication throughout the project. Such a great experience. Highly recommend for your landscaping needs!

We had a sump drainage problem at our old house that Tom had fixed. When we moved into our new house, we had the same problem. Essentially the original pipelines aren’t long enough and you end up getting a wet spot in your lawn. Also, by not running the pipelines far enough, your sump pump will go off more which can lead to premature wear and failure of the sump pump because the water is basically recycled through with nowhere else to go. Tom and his team did an excellent job with the new French drain/sump pipelines. He fixed the wet spot issues in both houses. I would definitely recommend Tom and his team if you have drainage issues since they are probably the only people within the twin cities that know how to do a French drain properly and grade it so that the water flows to where it needs to go, away from the house. Communication was excellent. Tom kept us in the loop and got back to us in a timely manner. Updating us with pictures and plans throughout the extent of the project.

This goes back a few years but Tom has done two projects for us, a terraced retaining wall along the front of our yard, and a paver set patio in the back. Both projects have held up very well over the years and look great. Tom was very nice to work with and brought a ton of effort to our project (e.g having multiple massive boulders delivered to our house so he could decide which one was going to be the best to incorporate).

We found Tom via referrals on our neighborhood Facebook page. The referrals were glowing and we can now concur.

Tom was very prompt in responding to our request for a quote to solve a settling problem we had on our paver patio. He offered several solutions and we ultimately went with a complete removal, leveling and resetting of our existing pavers. We did not appreciate all the factors and considerations that go into the foundation and installation of pavers that will withstand the weight of our to-be-installed spa. But Tom had the requisite expertise.

His workmanship and attention to detail was outstanding. He was prompt, communicative and responsive to new requests as they arose.

His was not the cheapest bid that we received. However, I feel certain that the quality and final product was a good value. I would not hesitate to use Tom again or recommend him to others.

Tom recently completed work for me and it looks wonderful. Tom gave me some really thoughtful advice and went out of his way to get supplies after I changed my mind about part of the project. This is the second landscaping job Tom has done on my yard, and I couldn't be happier. Tom was great to work with. The results are spectacular!

I would strongly discourage not using this company to do your landscaping. He did mine over a year ago and had said that all of the bushes that were put in place have a one-year warranty. He came to look it this past spring as we have four dead bushes said that he would replace them as soon as the ground unthaws. I have left him numerous text messages and voicemail messages to find out when he’s going to take care of this and he has been completely nonresponsive since the beginning of June and it is now the end of August. Also in the process of putting the landscaping in he covered up three sprinkler heads but he also said he was going to fix and has not done soThis is very poor customer service
