We worked closely with Justin Dorschied, Landscape Architect at Southview Design to redesign my Mother's backyard. The entire backyard was gutted, replaced with a smartly designed sidewalk, patio, enlarged back stair with new railings, sod, a few trees and new plantings. The yard not only looks great, but helps my Mother to age in place more safely. It was worth every dollar spent, the crew worked very hard every day until the project was complete. Justin advised and designed what was needed to function well, look beautiful, and allow my Mother to safely walk around a level backyard and new patio! Highly recommend Southview Design!

Southview did the landscaping on our new construction home. Our project manager, Mack, was the best to work with. After a horrible experience with our builder and nearly all the subcontractors, it was so nice to have a contractor that did a quality job and kept their word. Mack and his crew have seen the job through to the end and beyond. They don't just disappear after the job is "complete" and you pay the bill. True dedication to customer satisfaction. Thank you!!

Thank you Southview Design for everything. First and foremost thank you for completing our project ahead of time. You want to talk about work ethic and professionalism. These guys are at the top. With their attention to detail and their work ethic I would say is second to none. They are courteous, kind and very hard working. Most days they were there until dark and made sure the cleaning detail was never missed.

To many time we hear stories about what went wrong. It's nice when you get something above and beyond what you asked for.

I have already sent Southview a referral of a neighbor.

We had some problems with one of our retaining walls that Southview Design had installed 11 years ago. They came out, assessed the situation and took total responsibility for the problem. They worked non-stop at our house for 5 days reconstructing the original walls. The end product is unbelievable. We can not believe the level of care and thought that they put into our project. Thank you Southview Design for taking care of us. We are so impressed with your workmanship and your dedication to the customer.

We really enjoyed working with Mack and Jake! We spent a lot of time with them planning the layout of our backyard and pool area. The time and responsiveness they showed us was truly outstanding. We discussed a number of options and materials to use, and the samples and drawings that were provided to make our choices really helped.

They followed up on any concerns and questions we had through out the six month project. We could not have chosen anyone better for our project. Thank you Mack and Jake!

Our Condo association worked with Matt Gerken and had a great experience. He did a beautiful plan for us and was very knowledgeable and accommodating to all our wishes. The installation crew was precise and attentive to all our last minute requests and questions. They worked hard and left the site really clean. We were really happy with the whole process and the front yard is beautiful.

Our experience with Southview Design ensured our landscaping project went smoothly and very pleased with the beautiful results! They worked closely with us throughout the process to improve drainage, replace a paver patio and update landscaping and plantings around the house. We are extremely happy with the work that Meg, Jake and their team at Southview Design created for us. We had a gravel road with turn around, a flagstone patio, a firewood storage structure, a flagstone fire pit with boulder accents, landscape plantings, and then some installed on our lakefront. They were very responsive to our needs and easily accommodated any changes we wanted without hesitation during the installation phase. The quality of service and final product are impressive. We are looking forward to working with Southview Design again in the near future!

We would highly recommend Southview Design. This summer we completed our second project with the team. Two patios and an outdoor kitchen. Again, the team did a great job. I would particularly comment on Sergio and Miguel. We so much appreciate their attention to detail and craftsmanship. From design of the project with Meg through completion, the team was communicative, attentive, prompt and thorough. Southview Design landscaped my yard several years ago and I have been pleased with the results. I have received multiple compliments on the looks and the functionality of my yard. Because of the quality of their work, this year I contracted with Southview Design to do routine maintenance of my yard. I have experienced the same high satisfaction level. Their work has been high quality and timely and the communication about what is needed and what has been done has been superb. I'm glad they will be back next year to help keep my yard as a model in the neighborhood.

We moved into our new home 4 years ago. In the spring when the snow melted and after every little (or big) rainfall our sump pump ran almost continuously. We had so much water soaking in the ground of our backyard that the posts holding up our deck and porch actually shifted in the winter when the ground froze. We talked with several companies and had one company make changes to redirect water, but they actually made the problem worse.

Last year we contacted Southview Design to ask for their opinion on what we should do. We could tell on the first visit that they actually understood the problem and what would be needed. They did such a good job of explaining the root cause of our problem, we hired them on the spot! When work was initiated they completely removed the prior companies work, regraded the area, added drainage tiles and solid pipes to move the water quickly away from the house, and replaced the plants and shrubs in a design that we love.

Last winter was the first time in four years when our house wasn't cracking and making noises caused by the frost heaving the support posts. So far this spring, our sump pump has been silent. Their understanding of the problem was immediate, and totally correct. The solution they implemented has changed our attitude from concern that we had made the wrong decision to buy this home, to one of pride and enjoyment. We would highly recommend the friendly and professional team from Southview Design as they "saved the day" for us!!

We are unbelievably happy with how our patio turned out. Our experience working with the designer was very good. He was happy to collaborate and listen to us, but also brought ideas and experience to the table that we couldn't have done ourselves. The work crews were all very friendly and professional. Everyone we interacted with at Southview had the attitude of 'Let's get this just how you want it'. They set a high bar for themselves and it really shows in the end result.

My wife and I worked with Southview Design to rehab our entire outdoor space. They listened to our idea's and asked a lot of questions on how we wanted to use the spaces. The design process was impressive as they studied the yard and made recommendations. They transformed our entire lot into useable open and intimate spaces and we are thrilled with the results. The crews were awesome and worked rapidly to complete the project. The follow up has been more than expected and we highly recommend Southview Design.

We had an area of our yard that was overgrown with weeds, and an are covered with pea rock from a previous owner. We explained to our design consultant that we wanted a low maintenance up date to our yard that included a nice color variety of plants. Taylor proved he listened closely to our desires for the yard as his proposal and drawing matched exactly with what we wanted. The crew implemented the plan efficiently and accurately in 2 days time. We are very pleased with the overall experience with Southview design, and appreciated the great communication throughout the process.

Southview Design has been great to work with and has stood up to every promise they have made. They replaced 15 trees because they didn't like they way they were growing in. I didn't even have to ask, they know what they are doing and they do it better than anyone else. The whole team is great to work with and the personal touch is second to none!! I have had a fantastic first full year and look forward to many more. I have already signed up for my full service weekly visit for next summer because I was so happy with how things have gone in 2017.

Working with Mack, Steve, and Southview was amazing from start to finish. The landscaping crew did an amazing job and was very professional throughout the project. The end results are fantastic and I would completely work with them again. I highly recommend Southview Design!

Another great experience with Southview! Southview redid our whole backyard, including our patio, 20+ years ago and we were very happy with the result. This spring we redid part of our backyard and, again, called Southview. Matt Gerken was very helpful during the planning process and the crew was very professional and efficient. They did a great job and we are enjoying the results!

Southview Design has done four projects for me over the last five years. There crews have been consistently great to work with, decent and respectful. Josh worked with me so we could do my projects in phases to spread out the cost. Each phase was professionally done and the crews went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I'd hire them again!

We used Southview Design to solve a backyard grading issue that was causing water to lake against the side of the house (and then run into the basement). Taylor, the Landscape Architect, was incredibly easy to work with and responsive and was able to answer any and all questions we had.

When the work was done to create a new patio that graded more water away from the house, the quality of work was highly impressive. We have a 100 year old house that does not sit up high over the foundation like newer homes, yet the crew was able to still grade the ground so water would run away.

Plus the new stone patio looks so much better than our old one and the crews quality of work was great. They were on time, professional and communicative on any questions they had via the Landscape Architect.
