Todd did a good through job removing a large live oak that was struck by lightning. The tree was very close to my master bedroom and carport. We are releaved since hurricane season is upon us. I hate to cut such a massive tree that took hundreds of years to grow. But our home is safer now. Thanks Todd

Just need to say Southern Tree Surgery was fantastic! I had a fairly large tree that failed to bud this year. It was rotting and had seen its last days. Southern Tree service answered my call yesterday and came and gave me an estimate that evening. They were very professional, friendly, well priced, and got the job done expeditiously. From initial phone call to job completion was all in 24 hours! Bravo! I would highly recommend them. 🌳

Todd Lipps and his crew were top notch. Timely professional service combined with a great price is as good as it gets. They dropped 3 three 100 plus foot pines, trimmed up my Magnolias, and removed less desirable ones without harming valuable, protected trees. When they cleared the over growth from the canal behind our home site I realized the value in my choice. These guys are pros and I highly recommend them.

Todd's work and attention to details were impressive. I just wanted some bad trees removed, but Todd de-branched numerous surrounding trees and it really made things look so much better. To say the least, he knows what he is doing.

To top it off, my yard was actually cleaner after he left than before he arrived.

He arrived promptly and on the day we had scheduled.
He went to work immediately.
He did excellent work.
My yard was cleaner after his work than before - all debris had been removed.

Could not have asked for a better experience with tree trimming, removal & stump grinding. We had a large 2-day project involving over 29 trees. Todd & his crew did everything they could to keep the price reasonable. They exceeded expectations in all areas and I highly recommend them.

Called Southern Tree Service when needed 4 very large dead trees removed and a bunch of others trimmed in my yard asap. They were in pretty hard to access areas, but Todd came out, gave me options and within 2 days job was done..price was exactly as he quoted, and they left the yard spotless. I couldn't be more impressed! Highly recommend them to anyone needing outstanding tree service.

Very pleased with Todd the tree man. He and his crew worked carefully and precisely and got a difficult tree removed from between our carport and shed without doing any damage. Great work and nice guy too! We were also very pleased with his prices. Lots of good work and excellent equipment.

I made several calls to local tree companies and only Todd responded to me fast and polite. He came by and gave me an estimate. After the weekend , he came with his crew and finished the job. Price is good, service is excellent, highly recommend!

Great experience all-around with Todd and his crew. They showed up on time (a bit early, actually) and got to work right away. I really appreciate the fact that Todd checked in with me several times throughout the course of the tree-trimming process to make sure I was happy with the amount being trimmed (i.e. - not too much or too little). He and his crew worked very efficiently together, and completed the job faster than anticipated. I was very pleased with the work they did... and for a very fair price as well. Todd delivered on the things that are important to me: good communication, punctuality, fair pricing, and quality work. Because of that, he'll be my go-to guy for all future work.

I am somewhat leery of reviews I read on the internet (I prefer to speak to people I know and trust who have first-hand knowledge), but it’s the method I used to select Southern Tree Surgery. It turned out to be an outstanding experience all-around with Todd and his crew. They showed up as promised (a few minutes early, actually) and got to work right away. Todd confirmed with me the trees my wife wanted trimmed before they started the job. He and his crew worked as very effective team, and completed the job faster than I expected. He came with all the tools needed to do the job right. I am very pleased with the work they did, and for a good price as well. My yard actually was cleaner after they competed the cleanup than it was before they arrived, and they hauled all the debris away as well. This is the outfit I will use for any future tree work.

The VERY BEST! Todd and his crew had 2 trees down and ground leveled and throughly cleaned up and hauled away in less than 2 hours. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a tree removed.

I had 8 trees removed and 7 trees trimmed to get ready for the hurricane season in fall of 2017. Todd and his crew spent 2 full days and did a great job with clean up. They also had FANTASTIC pricing and were very respectful, punctual, professional, and honest. I would HIGHLY recommend this company! He also has great recommendations for smaller stump removal (I used his recommendation and got great pricing for the removal of all my azaleas, stumps and all).

Todd and his crew have been excellent helping us and our neighbors clean up after hurricane Sally devastated our town of Fairhope.
