The folks at Mow It Right are good, solid, honest men and women who are thoroughly dependable. My emails and phone calls are always promptly answered, and any problems I may have are quickly addressed. They have done multiple types of work, including landscaping, lawn care, and retaining wall/driveway/sidewalk installation and repair. All of it has been great. I recommend them without hesitation.

I started using the service in April/May of this year. I hadn't mowed yet, and my yard was in very bad shape. I called to get set up and they came out 2 days later to get me taken care of. I was bi-weekly for May, but switched to a weekly schedule since June 2021 - they are very quick, and do a great job. it's a great value - they do a better job than I would do, but the best part is I don't have to do it myself! Highly Recommended

Edited from original 1 star review:

I've had the service for a few weeks now and since the initial rocky start, service has been fine.

I want to thank Melinda for helping get everything sorted. She took care of all the issues I had and explained what happened. While the first mow was rough, Melinda stepped in and got it back on track. She's absolutely amazing.

Grass has been cut on time and edging is neat and tidy. For once, we're ahead of the neighbors in mowing.

While I originally posted a 1 star review, the response from the company and the steps taken to correct the issues definitely deserved an updated review.

We’ve been using this company for two months and I don’t have anything good to say honestly. The price is competitive compared to other companies but I guess you get what you pay for.

They have missed weeds when weed eating, the grass is left very tall, and the yard is cut very uneven. It’s like they miss strips of grass because they’re going so fast and they don’t fix it. So every few rows there is one narrow tall patch of grass that was just missed.

I’ve called once about the grass being tall and asked if it could be cut shorter and the person I spoke with that day said absolutely. They cut it yesterday 9/25/24 and it was still just as tall as it has been.

I considered complaining about the missed spots and the grass still being to tall but based off the last time I called I don’t think there will be a resolution to that so I just decided to cancel.

I wouldn’t recommend this company for your grass cutting needs. It just seems like they don’t care if they do good business or not.

I'm not happy with my service with Mow It Right. I've been with you all almost 3 years. My grass is cut high and it should be cut low and my flowerbed should be weed eaten and I have no rocks or mulch in them and never have. I called and spoke to a Norma, and all she basically ask me is 'DO YOU WANT TO CANCEL SERVICE"? You don't ask a 3 year customer that type of question! I asked for Mrs. Laurie and she's no longer there and I miss her hospitality and quality service.

She evens speak some Spanish too. What a lost!!! Smh I called about this issue for 2 weeks and no resolve. I pay $45.00 per week and I have an average size yard front and back!!! Resolution keeps customers. People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.

This is crazy and I'm HIGHLY disappointed!!!! The owner said he would handle this same issue last week. He did not call me as I spoke with a Norma today (Tuesday June 25, 2024) and she said he would. He didn't call my mobile or landline phones at all nor did he leave any messages on neither phone. Resolution is the people's choice.

There is no excuses for this. I left a message to CANCEL,EFFECTIVE TODAY, my services. I've dealt with other issues but a Mrs. Laura fixed the issues and kept me from canceling many times now she is gone. Smh! I'm changing companies in the morning too. Some people own businesses and this is not a company I recommend AT ALL.

I have asked specifically for them to not weed eat around my trees. It is written on the contract. These pictures are what I came home to today. I have addressed the weed eating several times and it is being ignored.

i have used M.I.R for over 3 years now for my lawn treatments. (weed control program) it is a year round service. This year was the first that i have had a problem. i called to complain and the nice lady that answered the phone said the rep who had treated noted my account already to be retreated because he saw the weeds. 2 weeks after retreat i call again, no change, however this time she stated that rep. saw weeds dying. i asked her to have them retreat again and that i saw no weeds dying not even wilting. Still no change i called again, she said she would have christian whom wasnt at work that day call me next business day. no call, so i called them. he wasnt in today. I advised her that i was tired of paying for a service that wasnt producing results. i didnt want another debit until the problem was resolved. Their solution, would you like to stop services then? YES, Yes i would.

so don't use their services for weed control.

i could do better with products from hardware store.

Warning to Olive Branch homeowners about Mow It Right Lawn Care 🚨

My mother recently hired Mow It Right for lawn care services. During their last visit, their crew damaged her brand-new shed (less than a year old). To their credit, they admitted it immediately over the phone and promised to “make it right.”

Unfortunately, that’s where the accountability ended.

Despite multiple requests, they have refused to provide anything in writing — no incident report, no insurance information, nothing.

Their proposed “repair” was shocking: remove the shed’s back panels, hammer out the dents, put them on the front, and reinforce it with duct tape. Obviously, that is not a repair — it’s a cover-up that reduces the shed’s value.

When we pressed for proper documentation, they stopped cooperating.

This is not how a professional, insured company should handle damage they admit to causing. Accidents happen, but responsible businesses carry insurance and resolve property damage properly.

I’m sharing this so others in the Olive Branch and Memphis area know what to expect before hiring this company. Protect yourself, get everything in writing, and verify insurance before letting them on your property.
