Tauheed and his partner did a great job helping me move and were very patient and understanding handling everything with care.

The guys were really nice and did a great job. They had to go up and down three flights of stairs both in the old apt and the new one. Super troopers.
I'd definitely recommend Affordable Moving solutions

The moving my items was a heavy burden for me. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN! Everything arrived in the condition they were at the start, with a "can do" mindset on completing the job right.
    Thank You!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. From the moment they showed up (right on time) to the moment they left my new place, they were nothing but professional, polite, efficient, communicative, and hard working. I knew my items were being safely taken care of as they packed the truck.
I will definitely be using and recommending this stellar company to anyone who is looking for the best moving company in the STL area!
Thank you for making my move so easy!

Timely, professional, and friendly! They were great and were very quick. They did not dilly dally at all in the slightest, I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

I moved from an apt to a storage locker. For two hours of labor and truck use, it's was $410. This was the best deal I saw when looking for services as well!

Amazing work! Frank is a 100% professional! He was upfront, and honest on his assessment of my items, as well as the truck. His pricing was better than all the ones I saw, and his work was top notch! Highly recommended!

This move was the easiest I have ever done. Professional from start to finish. Short move from Cleveland to Columbus they packed and wrapped like it was going cross country. The price was reasonable for a retired person.

The movers got everything over to our new place quickly, even though there was only two of them. All of our belongings arrived safely, and the movers made sure to put the boxes in the correct rooms rather than just piling them in the living room. Would highly recommend.

Another great move with Rent A Vet. We used them last year when we moved items out of storage, and this month when we moved into a new house in Chesterfield. Once again, the response was prompt to book an appointment and they went out of their way to accommodate our needs, the communication was great, the movers were punctual and professional, great care was taken to dismantle and then reassemble at our new place, and they worked efficiently. I like supporting a small business like this. James, Dorran and Brandon make a great team and we appreciate their going above and beyond our already positive expectations.

Very professional. Friendly, On time, very careful with both the furnishings and the house. Moved furnishings to a POD prior to a remodel. Already setup a second appointment to unload the POD.

Still wouldn't use them but at least they came and fixed my wall they put a huge hole in. They are good at running the clock. Ugh

They sent me a text an hour and a half before they were supposed to arrive telling me that they couldn't make it today because they were understaffed. They sent a text, not a phone call but a text, didn't even have the courtesy to make a phone call and apologize for the inconvenience. The text said they would TRY to reschedule for tomorrow, TRY? really?! We had used them previously and they were wonderful and courteous. I understand this was unforseen and out of anyone's control but what's very disappointing and upsets me the most is the fact that they couldn't be bothered to pick up the phone to call and then when I called them he at the like I shouldn't have been upset. Luckily I was able to find another mover to get done that done. Less expensive and way better!

Workers were on Time but were super slow me and friends had to help load and unload the truck to get done in a reasonable time. Owner didn't want to negotiate the price or accept the quality of the workers he sent

I told them when they showed up I only wanted them to load the large, heavy items. They started loading small stuff, so I had to pretty much direct them to each piece or they would start grabbing small items again. The younger guy (looked 17) was obviously new and couldn't lift my China cabinet, so I had to carry it out and back in. They were so slow, they badly loaded half the truck with a third of my stuff. I made them stop because I knew we still had to drive and unload. They parked the opposite of where I told them to park, so unloading was harder. Me and my friend basically unloaded half the truck just so I wouldn't go over 3 hours. They obviously pad time, like unloading the dolly and arranging the truck took both of them. Not good at packing the truck, slow with each item, training a new guy that can't carry heavy stuff, still cost $507! Worst movers I've ever hired!

Hired them in 2016. Worst movers ever. Save yourself the $. Took them 8 hours to move a 1 bedroom apartment and charged $800. Broke a lamp and the bed slate.

Hired Rent a Vet early in 2022 to help us move from one house to another. Every part of the process was unorganized and the end result was disastrous. I could never suggest these guys for anything and am not surprised to see that they are temporarily closed until 2024. Here are just some of the many issues with this company:

1.) The movers arrived an hour LATE due to going to the new house first. Not sure how you get that wrong, but the day went downhill after that.

2.) Despite what I was told on the phone, the movers will not wrap mattresses, dressers, tables, or provide TV boxes. Apparently you need to request it and pay for it separately. I specifically asked the person on the phone about this, inquiring about additional fees and packing material as I was more than happy to pay. I was told that the movers would bring everything and charge us by what got used. Yeah, she clearly didn't know what was going on...

3.) They don't care about your belongings. Boxes were thrown onto dollies and rolled down stairs without a care. Lots of banging, sounds of things crashing, cracking, breaking... It was the single most stressful thing to hear. Sure enough, as we were unboxing things, we found several things broken. Christmas ornaments, several plastic bins and lids cracked and broken, china broken etc.

4.) We had closed off rooms they didn't need to be in. For whatever reason, they were wandering around the house, going into rooms we specifically told them they didn't need to be in. Had to reclean every freaking room they went into that they weren't supposed to be in.

5.) Halfway through the day, I offered to buy the movers Jimmy Johns for lunch, hoping that it would get them to move our belongings more carefully. They were more than happy to take the lunch, but were even more careless with the move afterwards.

6.) I really shouldn't have tipped the movers, but the guys seemed young and we were just trying to do a nice thing. I had asked how they wanted to get tipped, cash or Venmo/Paypal. They preferred the cash, so I had my husband (as I stood next to him) tip the guys in front of everyone at the end of the day. 20 mins after they left our house, one of the guys texted me asking if they would get tipped via Venmo. They were trying to dupe us into tipping them TWICE! I gently reminded them that they had already been tipped.

    Hope this place stays closed.

My company contracted with them in April 2022 for a 2 day job for our convention in October 2022. No one from the company let us know at all that they were temporarily closing and now I can not get in contact with anyone. Having to find a new moving company for our convention less than 2 months out.

Worst "movers" that I have ever come across in my life. I would give them no stars if I could!
    * Started at 10AM - too late for an entire house move
    * The two, so call, veterans (NO CHANCE) showed up high as a kite strongly smelling of pot.
    * They took 40 mins to go 2 miles to deliver the 2nd truck.
    * I was told, minimum, that I would have 3-4 guys. They sent 2 guys to move AN ENTIRE HOUSE.
    * $1000 over the quote and it took 15 hours to move PART of my stuff. They didn't even finish our move and we helped them unload the 2nd truck full. WE HAD TO FINISH MOVING OUR HOUSE OURSELVES!! They also did not even offer to come back and finish the job!
    * Only wrapped 2 items with moving blankets. One of which was soaked causing damage to the wood. There's not a piece of furniture that did not have a gouge and/or scratch on it.
    * I started raining during the move and they did not cover ANY flooring.
    * Soaked boxes were placed on brand new WOODEN furniture.
    * None of our mattresses were wrapped
    * I tried calling multiple times - their phone says due to short staffing they will not be answering phones anymore to message them on their website. No answer and no response to their online forum either.
    * Left a message on my payment (Venmo) to the owner and no response there.
    * Refused to take apart or put together furniture.
    * Damaged appliances
Oh the list could go on. In no way shape or form would I call these guys professional movers. I'm convinced they have friends and family leaving their reviews on google/yelp/etc.
    Steer clear of this company!

This was my 5th time using Rent A Vet for myself or family members and had never had a problem until now. The guys broke my new (purchased in Feb) 65inch flat screen TV when they bumped the corner of it into the ceiling fan. They said they would have to call Frank and ask him what they should do before we settled the bill. Frank told them he would discount the move $300 and that was more than he would normally pay. He first told me it was the law that he was only required to pay .60 cents per pound for a damaged item. After I submitted a copy of my receipt showing I paid $699 plus tax, he then replied it was their policy to only pay .60 cents a pound for damaged items. As I was planning on using their services for my next move, this decision sure cost Frank and Rent A Vet more than a replacement TV. If I could give the attitude of Frank a rating, it would be in the negative.
