Mark and his crew did a wonderful job and were VERY prompt at responding to our repair. We will definitely recommend using Solomon in the future.

I had Solomon contracting install new windows at my house , they did a fantastic job at a great price . I don’t know why people keep using high name and high price window companies .

I’ve had 3 or 4 projects done by Solomon and they consistently do a great job. They are reasonably priced, they do detailed work and always clean up any mess. James is always a pleasure to deal with and will use them again

I have hired Solomon Contracting twice now. The first job was for a front door on a historic home and it was a heck of a job. The door looks great and after a year it began to stick again and they came right out to adjust it.

The second job was for a kitchen cabinet install that a previous contractor had completely botched. They came out very quickly despite being turned down by my partner and I for the initial kitchen quote due to price. They got to work quickly and installed everything and when a few plumbing issues came up, they added on the cost of the plumbing work and issued a separate invoice later on for the agreed upon work that they completed on the spot.

Shoutout to Randall especially as he was very kind, let me know every step of the way what they were about to do, and asked my thoughts on everything before doing the work.

Though they are a little on the pricier side, I would recommend them for their fast, quality, guaranteed work.

Mark Solomon and his company have replaced our roof several times in the nearly 30 years we’ve been here as well as our son’s roof in the same neighborhood. They also replaced a storm door, soft washed our house and cleaned gutters. All of their work is superior and he and his office staff are all great to work with. They stand by all their work and if there is an issue, it’s taken care of quickly.

We have wanted to re-do our deck and back door for a while, but previous quotes and businesses we looked into were just no good. We reached out to Solomon Contracting as our realtor recommended them. The team to come out and estimate the job was very nice, considerate, and gave a reasonable estimate. Was able to schedule in a timely manner, for days that worked best for us. The team that came by for the 4 days were very considerate. I work nights and had to sleep while they worked just below me, and I couldn’t hear them at all (using ear plugs of course, but that’s normal). The finished product was excellent! We could not be more satisfied with their work. Will likely use Solomon for future house projects as well, and I would recommend to others!

Solomon Contracting is a company of excellence ✨️. They've done many projects for us including new casement windows, retaining wall replacement, new deck, roof, front door with rainglass side lights, and more. They have many resources and taylor to your needs. Top notch work has been done! We plan on using them again.

We recently had our roof replaced due to storm damage, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and attentive to every detail. They made the entire process stress free and delivered an absolutely beautiful new roof. The quality of their work and their commitment to customer satisfaction truly impressed me. I’ve already referred two of my friends! Highly recommend.

Wow! I cannot say enough about this company, from start to finish they were awesome. I appreciate the updates, phone calls, emails and constant communication with them as I had four different jobs I needed done. Mark Solomon was very helpful and if I ever need work again, I will contact Mark Solomon!

This is such a disappointing business. Not only they weren't licensed and didn't tell us, but when the town came into the inspection, they weren't using the proper up to code materials, when it rained, they didn't even tarp the roof properly and now we have a lot of damage to the inside of our building. They refuse to come in and fix the damage they caused!!! VERY UNPORFESSIONAL!!

We had this company out to give us a bid for siding, soffit, and fascia and the gentleman pulled our siding off of the house, ripped the current foam insulation out "to show me what we have currently," and broke our current wooden fascia during his inspection assuming we would be hiring the company. They are the only company who got in our roof to bid out of the 4 companies we've had out.

We saw our neighbors using them which is why we gave them a call.
They began 2 weeks ago and have yet been back to complete their job. The wrap they use, which is not Tyvek is coming off. Their house is smaller and half brick. It should've been a one day job.

I would not hire this company.

Services provided are Inconsistent. Mark with Solomon Contracting was unprofessional. I'm going through a home remodel and I contacted Solomon Contracting because they'd repaired my skylight. They came out, provided a written estimate and repaired it. All went well. I was so pleased. I called them for a return estimate for some additional work on my roof and electrical issues...that's when it went sideways. I have NEVER been told by a company that states they provide free estimates the cost for my roof is $15 a linear foot and for me to go outside and walk around my house for the footage and that would be the estimate. Why come to someone's home just to tell them to figure it out themselves! Even then I was still willing to work with them because they'd done such a professional job on my skylight. So I asked for a written estimate and I was questioned if I was really going to get the work done. I would not have called if I hadn't considered getting the work done! OR, are you judging my ability to pay?? Then Mark wanted to know who I was going to give the estimate to. Was it the insurance company? Was it my bank? At this point, I just need to see an estimate..let's start there. As a consumer, it's my job to comparison shop? I did it with my Skylight and still chose them. I became so flustered I told him nevermind. I also contacted the company via email and cancelled a scheduled estimate for the electrical work. Little did you know I am doing some major remodeling (kitchen, baths, basement, flooring, deck, etc...) Sorry Solomon Contracting, you can thank Mark.

BE AWARE of their non-transferrable roof warranty! Our roof was replaced by them in 2020 August, when we bought the house. At that time the house seller was very kind to pay for this new roof after the house inspection; and he sent the invoice to us with all the included work description for our record. And one of the items on the invoice is "Provide lien waiver, material manufacturer's warranty, and 5 year labor/workmanship guarantee upon payment in full. "

After the house ownership transaction, I called Solomon Contracting to confirm that the roof warranty goes with the house, not the previous owner so we have the roof warranty, and I was told that's correct.

However, after 3 years, when I called them today, Mark told me that I don't have the roof warranty, because I didn't pay for it, the previous owner paid for it. He stated multiple times that the roof warranty goes with the person who paid for it, not with the house. When I requested to talk to someone else in Solomon Contracting, he told me he's already the top of the food chain, there's no one else I can talk to. What a polite way of delivering information.

So anyway, be very careful of their warranty policy! With house contracting work at 5 digits, you will want some decent warranty policy.

Over a month ago, I had this company come out to provide a quote for a deck repair/replacement. James Solomon seemed knowledgeable and assured me I’d receive a bid within a few days. Weeks passed with no communication. I followed up with calls to the company requesting the promised bid, but never received a response or any explanation.
This lack of follow-through and accountability is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. If a company can’t even deliver a quote after a site visit and follow-up calls, I have serious doubts about their reliability for actual work. I would not recommend them based on this experience
