Great business. I have used them at least a dozen times the past few years for work at my apartments and my house. They do great work in a timely manner, with reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

They were very professional and respectful with me and my family. Was willing to talk about the issue and walk me through what happened overall. They also cleaned up the area after they were done. Awesome!
I will be calling again next time I have a plumping issue. .

Had a sewer back up in our basement. Called Starr and they were here within the hour. The two men were very friendly and professional. They found tree roots were the problem and snaked the line multiple times to get them out. They verified a clean line with a camera and recommended a root killer treatment every couple of months. I highly recommend.

Did an amazing job fixing our plumbing however only one of the plumbers worked while the other sat on his phone the whole time, while we were charged for both workers. Then when it came to payment, we asked if we could use our taxes when they came when Jodi very unprofessionally told us we were lying about not having them yet, because “she does taxes”. The plumber that did the work for us did great, but overall was a highly unpleasant experience due to Jodi’s attitude & unkind words. Unfortunately I would not recommend this company to even my worst enemy with the way the owner (Jodi) acted towards myself & my family.

HORRIBLE...they don't keep appointments, they don't return your calls as promised, they are the absolute worst plumber I have ever met in 50 years...go somewhere else and avoid this company...

    My experience with Starr Plumbing

08/09/17 – spoke with Owner / Primary Plumber from Starr Plumbing regarding quote they had previously bid on the house to run a new line from the main water line to the house. He said they could not get started until he had 60% of the quote. Could take a credit card over the phone but would be an additional fee. I told him I could arrange to have a check dropped off soon.
08/14/17 – worked with my Dad to get them a check for 90% of the quoted bid.
08/15/17 - heard back from Starr Plumbing - they are waiting on the borer / contractor - estimate maybe 2 weeks before able to fix. I said that should be okay but needed the job done before I moved in (09/22/17).
08/23/17 – Check cleared the bank.
08/26/17 - called for status update - receptionist said she would check with Owner
08/30/17 - called again for status update - receptionist said Owner said he was still waiting on the borer. She was going to follow up with him and contact me again.
09/05/17 - receptionist said Owner was offsite for the weekend and she hadn't been able to touch base with the boring company - Owner is going to be in the office later today and they are going to contact the boring company and then contact me to let me know the situation. I re-emphasized the fact that I am moving into the house in just over 2 weeks and really need this fixed before then.
09/05/17 – called back close to 5 pm as I hadn’t heard anything back – actually talked to Owner, and he said he had been unaware of any deadline for the setup of this. He assured me they would be able to get things installed before 09/22/17.
09/07/17 – Owner came out to the house to examine the situation.
09/12/17 - receptionist called and said that the boring company won’t do the job because Owner is not a “master plumber” in the city of Beatrice. They will be sending me a refund of my deposit in the mail. (to my Lincoln address)
09/13/17 – Talked with Owner from Starr plumbing – got some details of the borer they were going to use. Owner apologized again – made it sound like it normally isn’t a problem for them to work in Beatrice, but sounds like they may not be fully qualified to do so, and the excavator called them out on this.

I would not recommend working with them. They had plenty of time to arrange things, but there seems to be a communication problem between the receptionist and the owner/plumber. Also, they left me in a fairly bad situation with just over a week of notice to try and scramble to get things fixed before I moved in.

300$ to replace a leaky washing machine valve. Billed for 2 plumbers one just holding the others hand @ 100$ an hour each. Work immediately leaked and took 2 days to get them back out to fix it.

The plumber did a great job although we wanted the faucet fixed and not patched so they can come back and get paid to do the actual repair job. And then they charged 80 an hour to do it but he was only here about 30 minutes. Got billed for 2 hours. So there's 160 just to start cuz why not tack on an extra hour. Plumbers in New York city get 36 an hour plumbers in lincoln get 24 an hour. Plumbers in Fairbury get 80 an hour. Great for plumbers bad for the community that is already tittering on the brink of poverty level. They claim its for overhead. Yeah its for the owners pockets. Maybe if they disclosed they were going to do a plumbing job in my wallet I wouldn't be so shocked.
