As maintenance director for commercial property management company I can honestly say they are hands down the best. Prompt friendly and will be there when we need them.

A horrible experience using Thomas Plumbing. They often missed appointments without the courtesy to even call to reschedule. They charged for a service they did not even perform. I had to call them back out multiple times to finish a job that they left incomplete they left access panels laying out, they also did not clean up after their mess. I could forgive a lot of that but the lack of communication from the office team was the worst part.

We were assigned Rooter-Man of Omaha by our home warranty company due to a leak at the faucet in our primary bathtub, which caused water to come through a light fixture in the living room ceiling below.
I should note that I’m not sure if Rooter-Man of Omaha and Thomas Plumbing are the same entity, but they share the same address per Google, and calls from Rooter-Man show up as Thomas Plumbing on caller ID. Very confusing.
I filed the claim and was told Rooter-Man would contact us within 24 hours. I did not hear from them for four DAYS, at which point I called the provided number. The call was answered by a man who did not identify himself or the business. He confirmed he was with Rooter-Man and said the office manager would call me to schedule an appointment, but also commented that since it was a jetted tub, he might not be able to help.
No call ever came, so I called again and spoke to Dawn, who I later confirmed was the office manager. Dawn told me during this call—and at least one after—that the delay was due to them having “actual emergencies.” They could not send anyone out for almost a week.
The ONLY positive interaction we had with Rooter-Man was the technician they sent. He arrived a week and a half after our initial call, was polite and professional, identified the issue, and said he would submit the report to the home warranty that day, order the part, and that the repair would likely be completed that week. This was a Monday.
When I heard nothing by Friday, I called the technician. He was apologetic and said the office staff was submitting documentation to the warranty company and approval was needed before repairs could proceed. I then called the office and spoke to Dawn again. She said the claim had been submitted and the technician was waiting on the part. The stories didn’t align.
Over the next few weeks, I repeatedly called for updates and continued reaching the unidentified man, who said the office staff would call me back. They never did.
After a full month of no progress, I contacted the home warranty company to escalate. They confirmed the claim had been approved and that Rooter-Man should be in touch to complete the repair this week.
Today is Friday, and I still had heard nothing. When I called, Dawn told me the part had been ordered—an update she had already given me weeks earlier. I questioned why sourcing a tub faucet was taking so long and expressed frustration with her repeated use of “actual emergencies” as an explanation for their lack of communication. I explained this came across as rude and poor customer service, something echoed in other reviews for both Rooter-Man and Thomas Plumbing. Dawn reacted defensively and did not agree that four weeks was an unreasonable timeline.
She put me on hold to “check the status of the part,” but instead a man named Bill returned to the line. Bill stated Dawn was not actually checking on the part and said they were “clearly not going to make me happy” and would be telling the home warranty company they would no longer assist me.
In summary, after a month of excuses, unresponsiveness, and poor customer service, this company has done absolutely nothing to resolve our issue, and I am back to square one.
I would not recommend Rooter-Man or Thomas Plumbing for any reason—especially not in an “actual emergency.”
