I hired McAuliffe to repair an unsupported hearth and underpin the foundation of a residential property. After doing some extensive research online I was able to choose them and I am glad I did. Tom and his team were a pleasure to work with. They are responsive, fair, and transparent. The crew on site was efficient and the job was done ahead of schedule. The new hearth which they built from scratch is secure and the foundation is solid for good. You can't put a price on peace of mind. These guys are true professionals. We hired McAuliffe to stabilize a row of eight townhomes, a significant undertaking that was executed flawlessly. This emergency project commenced one month after the COVID-19 shutdown. I needed to have repair work to a block wall foundation in the residence basement in order to sell the property. My wife and I bought a house that needed some repairs. Working with McAuliffe was a pleasure from beginning to end. Kathleen fielded our calls and emails all the time - communication was great even over the weekends (above and beyond!). Their team was always on time, pleasant, and gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing, and they did this at a fair price as well. We're working with a number of companies to improve our home, and none were anywhere close to this level of professionalism. I would highly recommend working with them.

McAuliffe Contractors are everything you want a General/Structural contractor to be: skilled, responsive, efficient and trustworthy. Our job was a large, complex and risky one. The steel foundation of the house had rusted and required in--place replacement. While scoping out the steel work, they discovered extensive termite damage to the wood foundation of the house. They recommended practical solutions. They completed the project on time and on budget. They recommended equally skilled tradespeople to do specialized work. They returned phone calls and emails promptly. They provided straightforward, accurate information. The finishes were excellent. The punch list was completed quickly. They handled town officials skillfully and diplomatically. I wish I had another project to do with them!

Working with McAuliffe was such a smooth process from beginning to end - their initial inspection was at a good price and they put together a detailed report that helped us get credit in our home purchase price. They were able to start the work right as we closed on the house and coordinated with the town on inspection. Kathleen was great about communicating with us on what the plan is for the week. Tom explained the work to us very clearly on the first day of the job and we felt comfortable with their work plan. They added several support beams and reinforced the main beam which was undersized. All was done up to code and passed the final inspection. Very positive experience!

During the project they are were in regular contact to provide progress reports to us, the agents, and the homeowners.They also secured all permits and coordinated all town inspections.
