We hired Rick for a decent size residential job requiring coordination of electric, plumbing, permits and inspections. Rick and crew arrived when they said they would, did what they said they would, for how long they said it would take, all at the agreed upon price. There were no surprises, no issues and we do not have any complaints, but do have compliments.

I recently bought a house needing a new electrical connection from the house to the pool. When I contacted Richard I discovered the seller had also used Powerhouse to redo the panel and wiring throughout, which my inspector had commented on being quality work. Richard and his team reconnected the pool and upgraded the timer for me. They also added an outdoor outlet that I wanted for Christmastime. They did leave the old materials and a bit of a mess behind but the work is top tier and Richard worked with me to make my pool-opening deadline. I recommended Powerhouse to my family and neighbors, and would recommend to anyone reading this.

We called Powerhouse Electric because they are a local company in our area who we thought would be easy to work with. Richard (the owner) first came to our home to discuss the repair needed and come up with a viable solution. We agreed on next steps and decided we would set up a time to have the repair completed.

Fast forward a few days and a technician arrived at our home unannounced and a day earlier than expected. Since we did not know who was in our backyard, we asked the gentleman who he was and what he was doing in our home. He stated that he was sent by Richard to replace a bulb in our flood light. I informed him that there must be some sort of miscommunication as we did not have an appointment set up until the following day. Well, he became extremely irritated and stated that he would take his belongings, leave our home, and for us to follow up with the owner. He (we later found out his name is Mark) was extremely rude and condescending; a characteristic that is completely unexpected from someone who is set to complete work in your home and be paid for his services.

After the incident, I called back the owner, Richard, to inform him of the situation and he advised that he had already spoken to Mark. Mark obviously informed him that he was not rude to my husband and I and that we were the one's being rude to him. I told him his statement was laughable and that "common sense" should tell him that his employee is clearly trying to save his job and will most likely never state that he was being rude to a potential client. Moreover, his technician did not properly re-screw the light in need of repair which is now basically hanging from one screw (clearly a disgruntled person who was not pleased with someone questioning his presence in their home).

When I made my first call to Richard to advise him of the miscommunication, we were willing to give his company a second chance as long as a different technician was sent to our home. However, after speaking to Richard subsequent times and hearing his ludicrous remarks, we would never hire him or his company again. Moreover, we would never recommend his company to anyone either.
