We recently had the pleasure of working with CLC Landscape Design, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, every step was handled with professionalism, creativity, and care.

Steve, our designer, was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand our vision. He offered thoughtful suggestions that really elevated the overall design, and his passion for landscaping clearly shows in the quality of their work.

Our Project Manager, Robert, was fantastic throughout the entire process—super organized, communicative, and always on top of every detail. He made sure everything stayed on schedule and kept us informed at every stage, which gave us total peace of mind.

The real stars of the job, though, were the crew: Melvin, Elmer, and Juan Jr. These guys are hardworking, respectful, and true craftsmen. They worked tirelessly, and the quality of their work exceeded all expectations. Every plant, was perfectly placed, and the finished product was just great!

CLC Landscape Design helped us create the backyard we've been dreaming of having for many years. I've never had the pleasure of working with such courteous and professional people from start to finish. From the owner, Rich, who worked with us on pricing, to our designers, Steve and Frank who gave us great ideas, to our Project Manager, Alex, who we now consider a friend, and lastly to our wonderful crew, who were hard workers and meticulous with every detail. We are so pleased with the finished product, and I can't wait to see my plantings flourish by next year. I highly recommend CLC Landscape Design and I will be calling on them for any future projects.

Working with CLC Landscape on our backyard transformation was a remarkable experience. We tasked them with a challenging project, adding a pool to our yard that has a significant elevation change. To make matters more complex, we encountered rock during excavation, which meant going back to the drawing board on design.

Despite these obstacles, the team at CLC remained persistent and patient, always focused on finding the best solutions. Rich Jr worked closely with us to reimagine the design, ensuring that the end result would not only be functional but also beautiful. Their expertise and dedication truly shone through, and we are beyond thrilled with our stunning new backyard.

The final result exceeded our expectations. The pool is perfectly integrated into the landscape, and the entire space has been transformed into a gorgeous oasis with a backyard fire pit area. We couldn’t be happier with the quality of their work and the contractors they recommended as all demonstrated great expertise throughout the project.

CLC is the best hands down! Nick, Dan and Ben all listened to what I wanted, assessed the area where I want the work done and chose the best plants and shrubs for me. The job was done in a day. My only regret is that I can’t see the perennials is full bloom due to the current season but they are coming in the spring and I can’t wait! If you want a landscaping company that knows what they’re doing from top to bottom then look no further. Thanks to Rich Sr as well for his assistance getting things on track for me.

I am more than happy with the work CLC did for my front yard landscape. I moved into this home about 2 years ago and the front landscape has always been an eye sore and could have use way more curb appeal. I found CLC online and chose them because of their fantastic reviews. I was not disappointed at all. Nick, Daniel, and Andrew did an amazing job. They were professional and easy to work with, they addressed all over our concerns. I will be using them again! We will enjoy this landscape in the years to come as the plants mature! Thanks guys!!

Excellent experience with CLC; I would give them way more than 5 stars if it were an option. Eric had immense knowelege and advised on what would do well on our property, asked about what colors/flowers we liked, didn't like, took our preferences into consideration, and the installation itself surpassed all of my (very high) expectations. I am so proud of this work and so excited to finally have the yard of my dreams.

CLC did an INCREDIBLE job with our landscaping. They took the whole feeling of our outdoor space (and our curb appeal) to a new level. At the outset, it was really noticeable how responsive, creative, and passionate CLC is about their projects. Eric really studied the space, listened, and then shaped a plan that we all got so excited about and that he and his team fully delivered on. We also appreciated their willingness to incorporate a few elements we really wanted, and in ways that would make sense. The results are clear and they completely transformed the front of our property in one day.

Definitely an immediate wow. Also now a couple months out, it has been especially wonderful to see how the plants have acclimated, filled out, and begun to really thrive. There is so much more added beauty and visual impact. In addition, we appreciated the special care instructions sent us while our new plants acclimated across a heat wave. CLC has very high standards, excellent contacts for related work, and are just really enjoyable to work with. Absolutely fantastic job and we are already working on a next project with them.

Eric and his team took over another project that was unfortunately not going as planned, and with just a few weeks before Memorial Day weekend, CLC desiged, executed (full landscape, hundreds a shrubs/flowers, sod, and entertainment) our dream backyard. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and more importantly, the communication, professionalism, and guidance that we received throughout the process. While there was a lot of ideas being bounced around Eric knew when to step in and provide a firm opinion & everything was perfectly planned in coordination with us. After installation,
we made a few minor adjustments that were on the house ultimately because I really felt the CLC team wanted to get it right and make us happy. I’d be more than happy to be a reference for he and his team and will be using them for our next major project.

I reached out to CLC Landscaping to inquire about their landscaping design and maintenance services as my wife and I were in the midst of a major home renovation and wanted to find a landscaper that would be able to accommodate our unique situation and work under a flexible schedule as the project was continually evolving. I first met with Eric to discuss my expectations and vision for our yard. Eric was very friendly and knowledgeable, and shared numerous examples of their prior work with me. Having already known CLC’s stellar reputation, and then seeing the examples of the beautiful work they have done in the past, I knew they were the right choice. Rich Jr. took over when the project began and tended to every detail. He was on-site almost every day making sure the crew was following the plan and keeping on schedule. Although we had some construction issues along the way which involved various contractors, Rich Jr. was always understanding and accommodating, and used his expertise to help find solutions that were both reasonable and affordable for all involved parties. His crew was friendly and respectful and worked quickly and efficiently. Overall, I could not be happier with the job performed by CLC. My yard looks fantastic and truly helped elevate the value of my home. I would certainly recommend CLC to anyone looking for landscaping services in Northern New Jersey. Eric was enthusiastic and creative about our driveway entrance. He chose plants to fit the space for shade and deer resistant, and the result was a gorgeous entryway to our home. I’ll definitely use him again in the future!

We had CLC design and landscape the front of the house. It looks beautiful! Nick, Andrew, Daniel and their whole team were always on time, very responsive and professional. They really listened to all the ideas, requests and suggestions we had. Our front yard looks amazing! We would definitely recommend CLC. They do a fantastic job! CLC did a phenomenal job with a complete transformation of our entire backyard. What had been a "yard" has been transformed into our very own 5* resort with pool, outdoor kitchen, pavilion, and amazing, varied gardens. From the initial landscape design meetings through to the final inspections, every detail of our project was handled by Gary with detailed professionalism, seamless project management and interface with sub-contractors, consistent punctuality, excellent communication, and an evident pride in every detail of the work (special, huge shout out to Delfino--he is amazing!). Rich Jr. is a master of his craft--very responsive to our aesthetic requests and taste which he married to our practical needs in order to deliver a gorgeous, functional landscape. CLC is truly a business that demonstrates that you get what you pay for...

We had some home flooding issues out back. The team went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help redo + redirect our drainage and piping and install a new beautiful patio. As an added bonus, they helped do a spring cleanup out back and made it feel less like we were in a jungle jail.

Feels like a new home after a full front landscaping makeover. It came out amazing. We just sit outside and stare in amazement.

Nevertheless, I can speak firsthand that CLC has dedicated their resources to help giveback to the community during the peak of the pandemic and into 2021. If you can’t decide between CLC and another company for your big landscaping project - go with the charitable firm.

Rarely do you find a company like CLC. They are talented and accountable. Rich Jr, Eric, Gary and the entire crew at CLC turned our backyard into something incredibly special. It was a very complicated project and to be honest, I had doubts it could be done. Well, it was finished on time and completely exceeded our expectations. The entire process from inception to completion was seemless. Our home and lives have been improved thanks to their hard work and atttention to detail. I highly recommend CLC!

We used CLC many years ago to design and construct our backyard patio and landscape and we couldn't have been happier with the results. All of the plants and trees they used have grown more gorgeous over time and our backyard is like an oasis. This year we hired CLC to come back and work on a riverbed for drainage and some additional plantings in the front and back yards. Carlos, Ben and Andrew did a fantastic job with every aspect of the project--design, execution, clean-up, etc. They are professional, friendly efficient and very hard-working. I highly recommend CLC. CLC helped us to transform our backyard into a space that our family can enjoy for years to come. We started with hiring their landscape architecture team to help us create a design concept based on all of our wants and wishes. After falling in love with the design they presented, we hired them to carry out the project. Gary, our project manager, was a pleasure to work with. He always had our best interests at heart and provided excellent guidance and advice as we needed to make decisions. He took care of coordinating any necessary subcontractors (pool, fence, pavilion, irrigation system) and was always in constant communication with us throughout the entire project. Wilian (the head CLC crew member) and his team arrived promptly every morning and worked tirelessly with care and precision to execute the design plan. As you can see from the before and after pics, they did an amazing job and we would highly recommend CLC for any landscaping projects. We plan to work with them again in the future

CLC was great to work with from start to finish. Our project started with meeting the landscape designer to understand what we were looking for and then breaking the project down into phases. The first phase which completed over the summer was adding landscaping all around the house, including lighting and an outdoor kitchen in the back. Future phase includes the addition of a pool and it’s surrounding landscaping. The communication, quality of work and follow-up even after completion was fantastic. We loved working with our project manager, Gary, who was always extremely helpful, communicative and always seemed just a few minutes away. Thanks CLC!

Our garden has been blooming since early Spring and we are in heaven. We use our backyard more often – to eat a meal al fresco, or sit beside the fire table. We use the front door more frequently to enjoy the beautiful landscaping.
In January, CLC completed a five-month landscape renovation for our home in Maplewood, New Jersey. The project involved the entire property. We filled in a sunken patio in the back yard to bring it up to the same grade as the lawn. CLC removed a poured concrete retaining wall on the driveway and replaced it with fieldstone. The stairs to the porch and kitchen door were reconfigured, widening the driveway two feet. In the front yard, CLC built new blue stone walkways and fieldstone pillars on a landing next to the street.
The project ran smooth as glass from start to finish. CLC managed every subcontractor seamlessly. The communication was incredible – we were always informed about what was planned on a given day or week. We had several months of heavy equipment and mud – unavoidable given the scale of the project. But the crew was always conscientious. They kept walkways tidy, closed fences for our dog, and stopped work to help our elderly parent to and from a car. The crew are amazing craftsmen. Their attention to detail and quality of their work is unparalleled. There were no major problems, despite unique challenges re-routing gutters, and solving for regular soggy spots when it rained.
It was so exciting when sod, bushes, trees, and flowers were planted. In a couple of days, the project went from hardscape to fully planted and trimmed. CLC walked us through the placement of plants to show off the architecture of the house and to bring color in drab winter months.
I whole-heartedly recommend CLC for renovations large or small. The constant communication with the foreman, project manager, and owners made us feel very confident that the project was in excellent hands and we could raise a concern before it became a roadblock. The quality of their work is exceptional. Neighbors and strangers alike comment about how beautiful it looks. It brings joy every day.
