Over the past two years, we have hired TPC for two major projects at our home in River Edge. The first involved cladding of our living room fireplace. Timmy and his crew worked in our house for almost two weeks designing and installing cultured stone over our existing decades old fireplace, including a bluestone hearth and multilayered mantle, floor to ceiling.

It turned out amazing and the disruption to our household was minimal. The fireplace is the centerpiece of our home!

The second project, which was more extensive, involved our front lawn and driveway, walkway and curbs. Timmy had to demolish the two block retaining walls as well as remove decades old planting beds, old growth and dozens of yards of dirt. The retaining walls were redone with block and natural stone and a bluestone, multi-tiered cap.

The planting beds were completely redesigned both in front and sides of the property, and Timmy worked with us to select a fantastic mix of flowers and trees and bushes. In addition, the entire front lawn and side yard were re-sodded, paver walkways and Belgium block installed, and the front steps were completely dismantled and rebuilt using a combination of natural stone, bluestone and pavers.

The entire project took over a month, and Tim managed every detail with professionalism and courtesy...and always a smile. His crew are polite, hardworking gentlemen and did their best to cause the minimal amount of inconvenience as possible.

We wholeheartedly recommend TPC for any project you care to have performed professionally, on time and for a fair price!

We hired Tim to clean out massive weeds and tree stumps from a long property border line and plant new shrubs. He listened to my preference of shrubs and was open to different ideas. He professionally planted 16 shrubs, brought in dirt, mulched the entire area, redirected 2 sprinkler heads, and established new edging. The final project looks spectacular and at a fair price. He seemed efficient and got the job done promptly. I highly recommend TPC Landscape!!

I have used T.P.C numerous times and each time Tim and his crew have exceeded expectations. T.P.C. came highly recommended by a contractor I had used as well as several neighbors. I am so glad that I heard of him because I do not look anywhere else now. Tim has fixed numerous drainage issues on my property, planted a property hedge, built a patio and planted beds, and more recently, total revamped the landscaping in the front of my house. When the drainage was being sorted out, Tim came back numerous times to make sure the job got done properly. His job does not stop when he is done, it stops when you are happy ! I have recommended him to numerous friends and all have come away completely satisfied. I can be very particular about things and I would recommend him in a heartbeat. When it comes to landscaping needs, I would sincerely recommend Tim to get the job done!

Over the last 20 years I have had the pleasure of having Tim Conlon and his crew at TPC Landscape Design work on my property. Timmy has done numerous landscaping projects for me at both my first and second homes in River Edge. He has always worked to stay within budget and produced beautiful results. His expertise in the landscaping field is second to none. He has done plantings, concrete work, paver, and gravel projects for us. He is someone I have come to rely on and trust whenever I need landscaping projects done and I wouldn't think of having anyone else work on my property. His crew, who have been with Tim for many years, are hard working and respectful - traits they have in common with their boss. I highly recommend TPC Landscape Design. Timmy and his crew are simply the best!

We hired Tim and TPC for a backyard paver patio and a built in outdoor grill / kitchen. He was swamped with projects at the time (a great sign!) and definitely was worth the wait! Him and his team were professional, courteous, timely and communicative. Tim is very knowledgeable about his line of work and takes pride in the smallest task. You can tell he wouldn't suggest something to you that he wouldn't to his own family. He's not afraid to get dirty himself and put in the work with his guys. He came by often to check in and see how things were and make sure all was to our expectations. After deciding on revamping the perimeter of our home, we called in five different landscaping companies to come and assess and quote the job. Tim was one of the five, and after he left my husband and I had the same feeling - this is our guy. Tim and his crew were worth waiting for. He was in the middle of a large job before he started ours, and he was in constant contact with us about a start date. Once we had that nailed down, they started the work - and we are now complete. It looks like a new property! Although he did have to have other folks come in for the driveway and fencing, he brought in all - stars! He was always in contact with us for their ETA, and delays if need be.

All of my neighbors were also impressed, not just with the quality of the work - but the fact that Tim & Crew and clean, neat and respectful of where they are working. We never came home to anything other than the demolition that we were having done. If there was a sign advertising the company that was working on the property - I am sure TPC would have been answering calls from the neighborhood.

Tim and his guys are a class act, and I'd be happy to bring them back for any future projects! Thanks Tim!!!

Tim came highly recommended and did an amazing job overhauling the landscaping in front of our home. Tim met with us, asked what we had in mind, and had several creative suggestions at the ready. Everything was drawn out and documented prior to starting. On the day of planting, his team hustled and functioned well together. They seemed to enjoy themselves which is nice to see considering how difficult the work can be. A few days after planting, Tim stopped by to check on everything and water the azaleas and hydrangeas — himself. Some of the lavender and grass we wanted were not available late last season, but Tim remembered everything and came back this Spring to plant them. The final product looks great. Tim also helped save a paver job that was done without proper side bracing and helped with referrals when strong winds knocked over a large tree on our property on 12/25. Though it was a holiday morning, Tim responded immediately! It is clear his customers and his work are a top priority. Highly recommend and we look forward to working with him again on future projects!

Don’t hesitate to call Tim from TPC for your next landscaping project. Tim was a pleasure to work with and we are thrilled with the results. He removed large hedges in our backyard and replaced them with beautiful green giants. Tim and his crew were professional, timely and made the experience painless. Tim even returned a few days after installation to check on the status of the trees after heavy rainfall. His team came back, fixed areas that were damaged from the storm and installed a drainage pipe. He went above and beyond and we are so happy to have chosen to work with TPC. Tim did an excellent job with our blacktop driveway with Belgium block, walkway pavers to our front door, and walkway to our new deck. He is very responsive, creative and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend him!

After a major home renovation, my back yard and front side yard were left in shambles. It was a warzone of weeds, nails, debris, broken concrete and rubble.

I was lucky enough to find TPC. They assessed my dilemma & quickly gave me a very fair quote.

Tim & his team go above and beyond. They are super detailed, fast and insanely hard working. Unlike other contractors who look to nickel and dime, they go the extra mile and fixed things not even discussed in the proposal.

They completely cleaned and leveled my back yard. Fixed broken pavers, added a new paver patio, river rocked a border around my home, transplanted bushes, added new bushes & seeded the entire grounds.

What they did in 4 days, I couldn't do in 4 months. Tim and team transformed a mess into a masterpiece. They are worth every penny.

Thanks for checking on my messages. I did call on 2/19 and on one other time leaving them when prompted by your voicemail. After that I don’t know what happened. I did find someone else who hasn’t started yet but I’m on their list.
I wanted front step repair/replacement as well as the small patio landing at the bottom of the steps which Bryan said he doesn’t do and he gave me your name. If I have an issue with the person that I have the job set up with, I would hope it would be ok to call you back and try again. I am certain you do excellent work. Have a great day.

My initial interactions with TPC were great! Someone came over, reviewed our project, gave us some really great ideas, and then got back to us in a reasonable timeframe with a great price. Unfortunately because we also were in the midst of planning my daughters communion party that was delayed to the fall of 2020 due to covid, I followed up about 2 weeks later to confirm we wanted to move forward with the project. We were told that they were too busy, and already booked through the end of fall and we would need to wait until spring 2021. We were disappointed but totally understood. Early spring 2021 I reached back out looking to book the project, however despite my attempts, just never really got a response back. I texted several times, was asked to remind them of the estimates and work that needed to be done, so I forwarded what they sent me, but just never heard back. We were super excited, but ended up feeling very disappointed. I was really looking to support a local business in our town, but unfortunately it just never worked out. No one ever got back to us.

Sorry, but I just can't recommend TPC Landscaping. I called Tim over a month ago and he came over to my house. We spoke extensively about a landscaping design and even shared ideas. He seemed like a nice guy and said he would return within a week with a design... but he never showed up. I later called again twice and even texted him to follow-up, but he never returned my calls, nor texted me back. He appears to be very busy - which is OK... but he could, at least, have called me back to let me know.
In essence, a nice guy, but an awful businessman. Not good... keep away!
