We used Chris James for two major landscaping projects and couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. From the thoughtfulness of the design to the attention to detail, customer service, and overall execution, the whole process was handled professionally from start to finish.

Josh is a master when it comes to design and customer service. He listened to what we wanted, offered great ideas, walked us through options, and made the entire project feel easy.

We've been using Chris James Landscaping for over 8 years now. They take care of our weekly maintenance, seeding/feeding, and spring/fall clean-ups. In addition, we have used CJL for landscape projects (mulch/flowerbeds/etc) and hardscape projects (new front steps/paver walkways/etc) along with the installation and maintenance of our irrigation system. Their service is top-notch, the people (in the field and in the office) are wonderful, and I couldn't be happier with the results for my property. I would highly recommend Chris James Landscaping for all of your property needs. One other point: I am very active in a local charity that supports the schools in my town - CJL has supported me and my charity by giving back to the communities that they serve, which speaks just as loudly as their landscaping results to they type of people and company they are.

We used Chris James for 15 years until we moved out of state last week. They are professional, responsive, knowledgeable and socially aware. Chris is available whenever you need him, and his employees go beyond the required (putting away my recycling bins, for example). Chris has sent crews to New Orleans to help with Katrina, and all over the state to help after Sandy. This is not a bargain-basement service, and they are worth every dime.

We worked directly with Josh who not only helped us plan for what would look best, but was knowledgeable and honest in his assessment given our allotted budget. The crew of Chuck and Brian were friendly, reliable, and efficient with their great work. It was a fairly substantial job and investment and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

The Chris James team are truly lawn care pros. I used their lawncare services for a year while I was deployed and the home looked great when I got back. They stayed in touch through email and made sure I felt at ease at all times. Thanks again for the help through a stressful time!

We recently used CJL for a fairly major "overhaul" and updating of our backyard, and smaller changes to the front - we've worked with them x 14 yrs. They were great. Josh took time to understand what we were trying to do, came back with a detailed plan (with some options), and then proceeded. The work crew was great, and a pleasure to work with - led by Giovanni and Luis - everyone worked, and worked hard. Josh oversaw everything, and kept us informed of anything we might have needed to know. Not only was the new planting done beautifully, but so was the irrigation, new lighting (which Josh suggested), and pruning of existing trees and bushes. When one or two things needed to be changed, they were on it right away. Our back yard had been pretty trampled by our having large dogs over the years, and they leveled everything, put down new grass seed, and it now looks fantastic. They were also great about cleaning things up every day. Can't say enough good things about CJL...

We have worked with Chris James Landscaping several times and have been completely satisfied with their work. We recently had some landscaped lighting and design work completed in an area around our pool. Bistro lighting was installed in an ingenious way using posts placed in half barrels to anchor the strings of lights. The barrels were designed so that seasonal plantings can be added at the base of the lighting posts. A great addition to our backyard space! Josh A. designed the installation and supervised the work. The planning process was excellent and there was a good exchange of ideas to reach the final design. The on-site crew was professional and left the space neat and clean at the end of the day. Lighting technician Luis made made it all work. It has transformed out backyard!

Our landscaper retired, and we were referred to Chris James Landscaping. We are so happy to work with them! We signed up for their service to have our lawn mowed, spring clean up, and pesticide treatment. They did an amazing job with the clean up, and have been doing a wonderful job with everything else. They are always friendly, and professional. Their services are exceptional!

We were glad to begin a landscaping program with Chris James Landscaping including lawn maintenance, fertilization, shrub trimming and all around grounds upkeep. Our lawn has never looked better.

Additionally worked with Josh Abramson at Chris James Landscaping to rework most all the areas of my property - a major job that had not been done in 30 years. Josh drew up a plan, suggesting beautiful flowering shrubs, making creative solutions to enable us to keep those few elements that were healthy or we were fond of, and kept within a budget that made the project possible. He laid out a timeline based on our schedule, brought in a terrific crew who were knowledgeable, respectful, energetic, neat and responsive. Josh was with us all the way, keeping tabs on our watering new shrubs, identifying areas for attention and making suggestions for the best results. We could not have been happier. It was a big job -- getting the grass up to snuff, re-landscaping most of the property to make our home look its best.

We have known Chris James for decades and he has always been able to help us with many projects over the years. His work speaks for itself, his team has a great customer focus and works to achieve client satisfaction in all areas. We can't say enough about the quality of the work at the right price with the best company.

We had some landscaping work done by Josh and his crew. They were helpful and very nice! They did a great job and we now have plenty of privacy with great flowerbeds and trees!
They even gave me instructions on how to maintain everything. A very efficient and easy process for us. We are very glad we decided to work with them and will be using them again in the fall for some more work. Josh Abramson was very professional, helpful and kind!

We bought a house a few months ago that needed a spring & fresh clean up. Everyone at CJL is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They did an AMAZING job! They scheduled us quickly, were extremely efficient, & the yard looks beautiful. We are so happy & will continue to use them! 10/10 recommend!!!!
