Thomas Flint designed and built our pool and the results were impressive. In addition, their assistance in dealing with the town and managing the engineering process made everything seamless. Tom, Garrett and their team took a blank slate lawn in our backyard and turned it into the infinity edge pool with patio, cabana, landscaping, etc - a total masterpiece. The team is super professional - a great small business that does a tremendous job managing the quality of their work - which makes it worth the price. Pleasure to work with during all phases of our project - I would highly recommend and would use them again in the future.

We love our pool! Tom's design team took the time to listen to what we wanted - and they nailed it. The pool & patio design is timeless! The set up of the outdoor space is really practical and functions great for our family. The garden selections were perfect - they provide all the privacy we asked for, while still being very pretty! On our initial discussions with Tom, the only thing my husband and I knew, was we wanted a “in ground” pool on a piece of property that made this near impossible. Our property was filled with rock. We knew we would need a lot of work to get to the actual pool install. Blasting was inevitable. Tom and his team came up with creative and innovative ideas that helped us determine pool placement, areas to backfill and what type of design would work best for our home. We were able to see 3D design renderings to help us make decisions. The attention to detail helped us feel comfortable moving forward. We cannot say enough good things about Flint Landscape and Design. The team was always here on time and very respectful of our space. The quality of their work is superb, and the lines of communication were always open. Our pool installation was done on time and within budget. Our backyard is it's own masterpiece thanks to their team.
We even called on his team a second time to help us with our slate walkway that was lifting and dangerous to use. Tom came in and listened to our needs. He made recommendations that would allow us the usability we were looking for on our front porch and walkway. Working with Thomas Flint was the best decision we have ever made for our home! We have literally transformed our backyard living space into a place that we never want to leave (and we don’t!). Tom and his entire team are just about the nicest people you will ever meet. They were a pleasure to work with and are incredibly creative, responsive and dedicated. We had a pretty difficult build (exploding through rocks, creating various drainage systems, building multiple patios, a pool house and completely redoing the landscaping in the back and the front) and while it took a while, Tom and his team never let up. They worked through snow, rain, freezing temps and a global pandemic!

We know we will enjoy our backyard and pool for years and years to come. We love that we can make these beautiful memories with our family and friends right in our own home. Thomas Flint Landscape Design & Development was a total pleasure to work with. Under their umbrella we built a pool, pool house, bathroom, patio, stairs, retaining walls and fire pit area turning our yard into a wonderful sanctuary for both entertaining friends and family. It has become a destination for our children and their friends as well.

We were looking for a combination of accountability and a turn key strategy in which all aspects of the project could be addressed through one organization and then post construction, a maintenance plan available for our pool. Arguments can be made to act as one's own GC and subcontract each aspect of the project to a low bidder or best bid. Having the Tom Flint team as our full service coordinators we felt very confident that each piece of this detailed project would work seamlessly. The ability to knit these architectural components together professionally and patiently making them blend in a coherent way made the most sense to us. Other critical matters to consider is that when we called Tom Flint...HE CALLED BACK generally within an hour or two. Any other Tom Flint team members were always responsive to our calls and questions. If we needed to work through a matter (gas line, drainage issue, type of landscaping, etc.) the team would get someone over to the house to sort through it all and we would come to a thoughtful and satisfying result. It was ultimately a collegial experience where we felt we were working with professionals with a great aesthetic and concern for us as the client.

Thomas Flint put in a patio in our backyard a few years ago. We weren’t sure of the type of patio stones we wanted so Thomas took us to a few homes to see his completed patios. It was so helpful. We immediately booked him. We Didn’t even check with other companies

A friend of a friend recommended Thomas Flint, so we had no real ties to them, but we couldn’t have chosen a better company to work with. Anytime you embark on a large project you should expect that unforeseen things will come up and this is compounded with supply issues associated with Covid. Like marriage, when complications come up during a project, the best partners are honest, even keel, communicative, responsive, and take a thoughtful approach with their partner’s (customer’s) needs in mind. This is exactly what you will get from Thomas Flint. Their prices are fair and competitive. Most importantly, they don’t keep tacking things onto the bill once the project starts. Unless something completely unexpected comes up, you’ll pay exactly what is on your quote. If there are issues, the team at Thomas Flint is communicative and responsive. Most importantly, they give you options and their suggestions always keep both your budget and the long-term impact of the work being done in mind. We trust them. While all of this is important, no one is getting work done just because they want to work with a good company. Thomas Flint hires craftsmen who take great pride in what they do and they were here every day and unless weather complicated things, they always put in a full day. Jessica, their designer and Garrett & David the project managers are excellent and great to work with. They realize that the work that they do is something that you are going to live with daily for years and years to come so they keep an eye on details and they truly want to ensure that you are happy with it.

We recently needed to replace the liner in our 25+ year-old pool, and when Tom recommended a black liner, we were honestly a bit skeptical—it seemed like an unusual choice. But after showing us examples from other client projects, we decided to trust his vision and go with it.

During installation, the black liner looked… well, kind of like a giant garbage bag. We called Tom, a little nervous, and he simply said, “Trust me—once it’s filled with water, if you don’t love it, we’ll replace it.”

Well, once the water went in, we were blown away. What used to be an older pool suddenly looked like a sleek, modern gunite pool. It completely transformed the space!

Tom also freshened up our landscaping, and now our backyard looks like it was installed yesterday—absolutely beautiful.

Tom and his team of workers were always so pleasant, kind and professional! My husband and I had some landscaping design work that was desperately needed underneath our deck and around. His hard-working crew designed a beautiful walkway using big rocks we already had, as well as additional ones we purchased. The original quote was accurate and there were no surprises once the bill was due. We will use Thomas Flint Landscaping in the future for additional projects!
