Johansen save me the trouble of buying a lemon house. House looked very appealing on the surface but, had many structural problems. He got under the crawlspace of the house and found termite damage, water damage and many more. These damages would have cost around 40k. Seller only offered 25% of that. you want johansen on your side.

Mr. Johansen was gracious enough to meet my wife and I on a very short notice to review a bathroom issue that could have potentially prevented us from closing on our first home. Super intelligent, detailed, and a very meticulous professional. Highly recommended!!!!!

Let me be completely honest. I barely know anything about home repairs let alone complicated Projects. John came in, worked with me, stopped to give me play-by-plays as he was working, and did it under budget, in a day. I don’t really know what more you could ask. Next time I need something done I am only working with him!!!

We've been using Johansen General Contracting for the past 6 years on over 15 properties. They do wonderful work and are always our first call. Building decks, painting, structural repairs, kitchen and bathroom remodels...as John says " [They] do everyting" ☺

John and team installed an attic fan for us. He was very responsive and super helpful. Since its our first home, he spent a lot of time also going through the house to give us pointers of what to fix/update. Really appreciate his guidance and will def use again.

Johansen General Contracting did a incredible job restoring our customers water damaged basement. From the demolition, to the new electric & drywall, carpentry, trim, flooring and paint. One call did it all. This place looks like a resort. On time and under budget. I will be using Johansen General Contracting at my own home and highly recommend them.

I had a major flooding issue that filled my basement, three days before Christmas. It turned out the piping in my basement of the house I had purchased only 1 year ago had virtually disintegrated under the tile. My wife was 9 months pregnant and was ready to pop (which eventually happened only 12 days after Christmas). Plus, we were hosting my family Christmas Day as my wife was not doing well with travel at the time. Essentially, I was close to having to having a massive coronary.

It turned out I needed to have an excavation and get the entire pipe work replaced, on December TWENTY FREAKING SECOND and needed to have it done in advance of my family coming over on Christmas. Even if we had moved Christmas elsewhere, this was not the condition of the house that I wanted my newborn baby to come home to.

I needed help but being a new homeowner, I didn't have a Rolodex of service people...

I had worked with John Johansen on a dishwasher installation about 6 months ago and found him to be a pretty good guy to work with. I doubted he was going to be able to complete the work but my hope is he would start it and maybe, we could get it done after the holiday. His response: "Let's see what we can do."

Well, on Dec. 22nd, John came through, excavated the entire area that was affected, worked with a local plumber (who is equally due for sainthood) to lay down a completely new pipe infrastructure.

Then he returned on Dec. 23rd to lay down concrete over the entire area where him and the plumbers had replaced the piping.

Finally on Christmas Eve, he returned to lay down all new tile and cleaned the entire area.

Christmas morning it was as if the basement had never flooded at all as all of the affected areas in our basement and garage looked pristine. Due to his work, we actually were able to still host Christmas at our house. Amazing.

I seriously cannot thank this man enough for all that he did for us at a critical time, where he could have easily blew me off or drove costs up tremendously due to the holiday. He saved my family's Christmas and helped bring the house to a level of presentation my eventual daughter (who was born on January 6th) deserved. On top of it all, his price was extremely reasonable for the amount of labor him and his team put in. I recommend him with the absolute highest praise and urge you to give him a call. I can't think of an example of better customer service in my life. He is the best.

We got water in our basement and John came by right away, guided us on how to get the water out and made arrangement to be here as soon as he could fit us in, to install French drains and make sure our kids playroom never flooded again. John and his crew were punctual and worked with us and our schedules and in no time our kids had their playroom back, nicer than ever.

I had a leak in the basement near the boiler. It was getting worse by the day. Called John Johansen and explained the issue. He came by to take a look at it. He arrived on time, assessed the situation and fixed it quickly. Excellent work. He also made suggestions on other things I could do in the basement and around the house. Highly recommend Johansen General Contracting to anyone looking for great work at a fair price.

I've worked with A LOT of contractors & my experience is usually pretty poor. Johansen is BY FAR the best I've worked with in the area! I needed a contractor to fix a leak that another contractor couldn't figure out. They did the whole job in less than one day! They're licenced & insured, provide clear & detailed quotes & invoices - fair prices too! They also communicate very clearly & concisely. I'm looking forward to sticking with Johansen for all my future needs.

I recently had John and his team install new footings and supports under my enclosed porch, as well as update the insulation and install a vapor barrier.

I couldn’t be happier with the result and John and his team have been a pleasure to work with. I have a long list of both small and large projects that I look forward to working on with the Johansen General Contracting team.

I recently had 2 jobs completed by John and his crew, they repaired and painted our deck; they also replaced sheetrock and painted indoors due to water damage. They completed both and did an amazing job. They are very professional and take such good care of your home. I highly recommend them!

John did a wonderful , professional and timely job of completing the roof repair of my home. He not only completed the project on time but his crew cleaned up after the work was completed and left everything as it was before they started the repairs . Would highly recommend John and his crew .

Last year a pipe froze in our house and destroyed our basement. By the time everything was said and done with the insurance company they settled with us at about $8,000.00. We are talking about an entire finished basement with a kitchenette, full bathroom and a full bar. They then told us to find a contractor to rebuild all of this within their budget. We met with 8 contractors in a little under a year. Seven out of the eight contractors told us they couldn't do the job unless we contributed another $30,000.00. They also said to try and negotiate with the insurance company to get more money. I asked them if they would help me and they all pretty much laughed and said good luck!!!
They eighth and final contractor was John Johansen from Johansen General Contracting. When I told John how much the insurance company had offered me, he then told me with a very disturbed look on his face that the insurance company was cheating me and that he would fight the insurance company to get the additional funds that were necessary to complete this job! By the time John was done with the insurance company they had agreed to an additional $36,000 to rebuild my basement. I know have a beautiful, completely up to code amazing basement!!!! John Johansen is sensitive, caring, understanding and completely reassuring when it came to our project. He returns all phone calls, shows up on time, keeps the job site completely immaculate and best of all finishes on or before schedule with perfect results I would recommend him with the highest of regard. Thank you John and your amazing crew of workers and other licensed sub contractors!!!
