I have been using this company ever since I moved to Ossining 2 years ago. Anthony and Jason have been a pleasure to work with. Whether it was clearing out my entire yard and making it both useable and beautiful, or building a cement platform with steps for my gazebo, to now helping me along the process of a complete remodel, maneuvering through permits and the building department, I couldnt have asked for more honest, professional and quality service all while working within my budget. These people do it all! Highly recommend!!

John Jay did a great job on a landscaping project for me. We needed to remove some unwanted shrubbery, truck in dirt, and level out an area for a swingset. They were extremely responsive from the very beginning, finished the job in a day, and were a great value. I highly recommend them and would absolutely use them on future landscaping projects!

John Jay did a great job with a bathroom remodel. The job came out great. Jason pointed out some things would could do in the shower and we said Yes, lets do it. And he was right. In addition, their landscape services were amazing. They helped us with designing key areas of improvement to give a solid visual effect. We are extremely pleased with their hard work, attention to detail and overall responsiveness to our home.

As a customer, we also have a responsibility to be respectful of the contractor and their workers. It is not a one way street. We can easily be demanding because we expect the best. But there comes a time we as customers need to look in the mirror and ask ourselves, are we a problem? Are we difficult? Are we too demanding? We decided not to be this customer and respect the process. And in the end, we were happy with everything. A++++ service. Thank you Jason. You're great.

John Jay Landscaping transformed the old front that was hideous into a welcoming beautiful inviting area to the front of my home. Unilock walkway , with a chill-laxin front patio. Two steps and landing made from the block and caps along with a mailbox in the front . Plus 9 treads that lead down to the driveway with a 2 tier retaining wall. Absolutely amazing work and craftsmanship from the employees. Jason , the owner , and Anthony , the foreman , are great people that communicate well and do what they say. Overall , extremely happy and will be using this company for future work after the deck and pool are installed in the spring. I asked John Jay Landscape Design to assist me with a large renovation/transformation from design through completion. Wow was I blown away with the final product, a spectacular job that really has transformed my property and my home. I have received tons of compliments from everyone. But most importantly I love what they have done. From the initial design session to mapping all details, work , logistics and decision points, I found everyone to be the utmost professional, honest, easy to work with and overall pleasant to deal with. I have worked with tons of contractors over the years and really have never had a better experience. I found John Jay did an excellent job at managing my transformation, has excellent landscaping design capabilities, was flexible to meet my timing needs and requirements and were extremely honest and open about decision points and any changes to plan or any issues that came up during the work. Their lead was great to work with, gave excellent advice and guidance throughout the project, the workers displayed diligence and really provide high quality stone and landscaping design execution. John Jay has been taking care of my property for more years now than I care to think about. Besides basic lawn care and yard maintenance we've had them take care of numerous landscaping projects as well. Big and small, nothing is ever a problem for them. What ever we manage to dream up they get it done without any commotion which is rare these days. I ran a business of my own for 50 years and knowing I can hand off these projects to them without having to worry about them getting done is worth alot to me.
Jason, Anthony and the whole crew are kind of like family to us at this point. They're my nephews and I'm the crazy Uncle they put up with!
If you're thinking about using them for anything at all, just go for it. You won't be sorry!

John Jay Landscape are the real deal of a design and maintenance company. They are not a typical grass cut and run company. This was the first time I used JJ and the owner, my wife and I had to do a major overhaul of our landscape. JJ not only knew the plants and shrubs I had he totally did a beautiful redesign removing and replanting shrubs on and around my 1.5 aceas. JJ also recommended a proper design taking into account sun/shade along with eye appeal incorporating colors based on what we told him we wanted.
The owner and ALL his men were real professionals and put our customer satisfaction first so if we didn't like positioning or anything they just told me over and over how they wanted us to be happy. My project not only included new planting of 70+ new hedges/bushes but removed bad topsoil and replaced with top soil where needed so that planting can actually grow the plants. They also filled, leveled seeded and put straw down on large areas of low spots that collected water and caused me to rip up spots on my lawn where my 0-turn mower would get stuck and cause more mud pits in my beautiful lawn. The bottom line is these guys are the real deal and we absolutely HIGHLY recommend them! Their prices are very reasonable especially for the 30+ years of experience and service you are getting. I found it also amazing that 3 of his crew were father and his 2 sons. The dad worked for JJ for over 20 years and his sons for 10 years, what does that tell you? We are so very happy I already contacted him for other projects.

Regardless of what prices you get quoted from others you MUST try and use JJ Landscaping company.

I'm a homeowner in Yorktown, NY. Nothing but great things to say about John Jay Landscaping! About two years ago we had an in-ground pool put in and the pool company completely ruined our yard and would not fix it. We were very unsure what to do and were also on a budget.. About two months ago we started working with Jason, his positive attitude, creativity and patience was very comforting. Thanks to him my yard has been completely transformed and he was able to make my vision a reality. His workers were very meticulous with their work. They walked us through the entire process and answered any and all questions we had along the way. Jason and his workers have exceeded our expectations, the team was prompt, professional and their craftsmanship is great. We will be starting landscaping in the front of my home soon and have already hired Jason to do the job!

During the past three years, I have had two major construction projects that far exceeded my expectations. The work is meticulous and there is tremendous concern for completing the project not only in a timely fashion, but also in a manner that indicates pride in workmanship. John Jay also handles all my landscaping needs. My lawn has never looked better and a number of my neighbors have commented on that fact. Working with Jason Lombardo, CEO, is a pleasure.I always know if I have a question or concern, Jason is always available. On site, Anthony Onorino handles all work in a most professional and optimum way. It is extremely rare in this day and age to find a company that exudes professionalism and honesty. I could not recommend JJLDC in any other but the highest capacity. You will not be disappointed!

I have hired this contractor to build new front porch area, walkway, patio, and planter on the side of the house. Project has just finished - I like the end result very much. Both Jason, Anthony, project lead, and entire crew are very professional, very well organized and communicate very well. When work started, Anthony suggested a few changes to original design that made a lot of sense, which we gladly accepted as they were great improvements. I could see the team focused on delivering a great product and service to me, the customer. I will use this contractor again and recommend them to everyone!

Wow! Who knew John Jay Landscape & Design would do amazing work inside your house, too! We hired John Jay to turn two closets into a powder room. Everyone was amazing. Professional, always on time, came on the days they said they would, and cleaned up after themselves. Jason chose the best subcontractors, and we couldn’t be happier!
